Please feel free to move, Admin. Wasn't sure where to post. A work colleague made this for me for my birthday. It was delicious! I'm not sure of the resale value but you're all welcome to have a piece if you like. There's plenty left over Everything is edible except for the base plate haha

So some years ago I bought a few Mill Village sets #7189 and broke them down for Bricklink. But I didn't list the goats on Bricklink because I was going to list them on eBay, but never did. Thankfully, in the meantime the set retired, no more sets with little white goats, and I didn't sell them for cheap. Nice to find a bag of 30 of them in a drawer Also, I thought I just had a single Delorean #21103 set, but when moving a few things around earlier this evening, I found two more. Woot! Any stories you have of finding forgotten goodies?

Hello everyone! I am a student of anthropology and museum studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis - and fellow fan of LEGO! I am researching AFOLs, and was hoping to get some thoughtful responses from you, the true fans! It's very simple! I am interested in knowing what reasons any of us have for building with LEGO! Maybe its just a creative outlet? Maybe its more? Your responses would be very much appreciated! Thank you for your time!

I'm at a Homeschooling convention this weekend promoting my non-LEGO business. My booth features my RFID-controlled LEGO train, a perpetual crowd pleaser ... see a video below this post. Haven't really had the time to explore the convention apart from passing a few booths during quick restroom trips, but noticed the following booth (btw, these Homeschooling conventions are a rather Christian affair, so the theme of this booth is totally unsurprising): That poster reads "Jericho" btw, a brickfilm (you can see it being played back on the TV screen). Shortly after I had a nice conversation at my booth with a lady from Lawrenceburg, KY whose kids were interested in …

Who knows... With another Indy movie is made, maybe we'll get another Lego Indiana Jones line. If SW Ep 7 is as good as it appears, another Indy movie would be nice especially if it doesn't contain flying fridges, giant ants and aliens. We prob need JJ along with Kasdan at the helm http://www.superherohype.com/news/339785-new-indians-jones-movie-confirmed-by-lucasfilm As part of their June Star Wars cover story, Vanity Fair had a chance to speak with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and got her to confirm that a new Indiana Jones movie to relaunch the franchise is in the cards, although it’s not so…

Are you guys noticing the Lego isles are looking pretty pathetic in the past 2 weeks? I've been to several Walmarts in Canada and half to 3/4 of the shelves are empty! The only thing that seems to be in-stock are the new Star Wars, City and Friends sets. TRU have decent amount of stock, but then Nov/Dec is their bread and butter so I assume they arranged to make sure to have lots of inventory on hand. Kind of frustrating when I cannot even find small sets like the Minecraft The Dungeon in 5 Walmarts! Nearest TRU is OOS.

If you were giving an AFOL a lego gift based solely on which dragon was the coolest, what set would you give? Friend loves dragons, new AFOL. I have Lonely mountain & Ender's game sets I can give them, but I do not build these kinds of sets and have no value judgement to rely upon here. Thx for ur help.

Hi all, I wanted to get word out about a Lego Kickstarter project that is being run by my friend Nile and I for a build taking place at the World War Brick Minneapolis 2016 convention June 10th-12th. Here is a part of our description on Kickstarter. "For this WWB event the group has decided on recreating a duel between two tanks in Cologne Germany that was actually videotaped! The two tanks involved were the infamous German Panther and a US M26 Pershing Heavy tank. Check out the Youtube video link below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBI9d0-IfEM Picture Of The Entire Diorama (It is about 3 feet wide and 4 feet in length…

I'm very skeptical about getting Tumblers from Amazon now. This is how mine look like after back-ordered for 10 days...looks like someone dig inside of box to check the items. Returning now.

Here is a short feature (eight minutes) JANGBRiCKS uploaded recently briefly going over the history of all interlocking types of bricks including ones many probably never even heard of. Roughly halfway through towards the end, he shows some of the original instructions among other memorabilia of these long past forgotten relics in inspired creativity.

My most recent article has pictures that I saved from an auction showing a UCS set in a state of disrepair. I was unable to recover several other auctions that had other UCS or Modular sets in greater disrepair. If anyone has pictures of one of the "big sets" in a bulk lot auction, I would love to have them. Unfortunately I wasn't really saving these before, because I didn't win the auctions, but now I have a distinctive need for them. Very specifically, I know that there was an auction for a Death Star II and another for a Vader's TIE Advanced that were largely disassembled in the past few months, but the auction listings have purged the pictures. Anything else would be …

http://m.rte.ie/news/business/2016/0112/759458-lego-fine-germany/ Not sure if this is old news, if it fits in Lego trying to diminish the reselling business, if it is minor quarrels in the distribution negotiations. I thought throwing this out there to see what more knowledgeable brickpickers could add about this topic. If this is not the right forum please move ahead. ---------------- Danish toy maker Lego has been fined €130,000 by German regulators for preventing stores from offering discounts on its popular toys in 2012 and 2013. Bundeskartellamt, the German regulator, said Lego kept lists of its toys,…

Just curious what sets people are giving as gifts? or What are you hoping to receive? In my house the GF and I buy all sets we like as soon as they are released. This impatient behavior does cause a headache come birthday (hers Dec 19th) and xmas time. This year I decided to BL the Cafe Corner, and luckily the creator Park Animals is available already. Me, hoping for gift cards to off set the cost of the Ghostbuster Headquarters.

Wasn't sure where this should go, so this seems as good a place as any! I was digging through my old Legos and adding them to my Brickfolio, until it was stumped by one of them. After some digging, it turns out that this was a 1996 promo item (can be found at peeron). Has anyone else come across this one? I think I got this on a transatlantic Singapore Airlines flight - at least I have a pretty vivid memory of getting Legos from them once. Would be curious to know if any of you have this set and where else it may have been distributed. Thanks!
