Just found this site after a newspaper article. I am looking forward to learning more about this site. I have been buying and selling Lego's about 12 years now. My current inventory is down to around 300 new sets including the 32 sets I bought the day after Christmas.. This past fall I purchased 100 used sets with instructions and boxes from an estate sell. All the sets are from the mid to late 80's. I am in the process of building each set to make sure they are complete. Most sets are Star Wars.

Hello, I've finished my "dark age" of Lego last year just before the birth of my kid. And since then I bought a lot of Lego, too fast and really too high (ex: 10030 order piece by piece). Now I learned to wait and buy in sales, and I found out there a real potential to make money with Lego. So now, I'll try to pay all my Lego with Lego profit and I'll feel less guilty to have a huge collection That's why I joined this great site!

  5. Hello, Kevin here. I'm just starting to get into Lego investing and discovered the site through The Brick Show. I actually went to High School and played baseball with Jason from the show and it's been fun watching his reviews. If it's not considered bad form to ask a question right off the bat I'd like to ask an opinion. I have a chance to acquire about 5-10 Minecraft sets from Legoland Florida tomorrow. I previously did this and got a nice return on my investment. However, now, with the recent big sell off on Lego.com and Christmas almost over, I'm concerned the bottom is about to fall out on these sets. I sold my last Minecraft set about a week ago for $135 and now …

I just wanted to say how excited I was to find this site. I usually look on ToysandBricks and FBTB, but this site seems really good. I have been collecting legos for quite awhile now and have been investing at the same time. It's nice to know that there is a site that I can now go to to get updates and also be able to share information with fellow Lego collectors. I am currently updating my Brickfolio also, which I absolutely think is a great way to keep track of all the sets. Thanks so much for creating this site and I look forward to posting new topics in the future.

Hey everyone, I'm a new guy here. I have been into Legos since I was a child but for some reason I just kinda stopped buying them. Well I have rediscovered them and found that it might be kinda fun to try some investing in some of the more complex sets. Looking forward to digging into the forums.

Hi to everyone. My main interests are trains, truck and mini figs. But please people, the singular of Lego is Lego, the plural is also Lego. There are no Legos! Please.

Hi there, Just stumbled upon this awesome site and registered! Have been a AFOL for a few years now after getting the 10030 set and then started collecting Star Wars. I've recently decided to do a bit more Lego investing and have picked up a few sets. I've also stopped collecting Star Wars and am moving into the LOTR range. Cheers G

Hi Guys, I'm new to the site, and find the idea of 'investing' in Lego set to be fascinating. I'm 38 years old and after seeing what many of the sets I had as a child in the late 70's early 80's are selling for now I'm shocked! I hope to learn a lot from all of you, and to have fun too!

Hi there - just found BrickPicker a few days ago while getting ready to sell some items on eBay. I'm an AFOL (38 years old) from Tempe, Arizona, USA. I've come out of my Dark Ages only about 2 years ago. But in that time I've dedicated three shelves in my home office to LEGO. I mostly build, but don't necessarily collect, the Creator series. I like the 3-in-1 sets. I also have all my old LEGO from when I was a child and have my brother-in-laws sets from when he was a child. The sets are in great shape, and I'm slowly building up all my sets from years gone by. His sets were mostly castle and blacktron. I never got into blacktron, but they're fun to build. Th…

I recently noticed the growing trend of LEGO and decided to take a shot at it. I have been selling other types of toys in ebay ( nick: sw.pt) and after finding this site I went out to ToysrUS and bought 3 building sets. I can understand how this can be addicted and hope to buy a few more sets in the next couple of months.

My name is Joseph. I have been using the user name Jaabo (the "aa" pronounce like "a" in apple) on Bricklink and ebay for the last 12 years. I have played with Lego and collected them since 1973 and and never had a "dark ages," unless you count the time when in college I spent my college loan money on Lego as a "dark ages." The main themes I collect are Train & Town and Modular Buildings. I used to collect Pirates and Castle, though I later decided that my collection was getting out of control and decided to sell those off. Part of my hobby includes buying older lots on ebay and trying to complete sets from those lots. I usually then sell the sets I don't want to…

Hi. I'm Tyler from Canada. Lego is awesome. I have 11 original sets in the Castle theme from 93-95. I hope to collect all sets within those years. Attached is a pic of my sets in their boxes. Unfortunately, the box and manual for the Dragon Defender was not taken care of. I will have to rectify that soon.

Hello Fellow Brickers! I have been a LEGO builder for the last 20+ years. It wasn't until recently that I starting buying sets to keep unopened. I found this site through a forum on brickset. I have Liked you on FB and spent HOURS last night reading through posts. Quick question: Is there a spot on this website that shows EOL dates as they happen? I know I can go in to each set and find it and I am not looking for speculation of upcoming dates. I would just like a master list that is updated in real time. If I am missing it I apologize. Thanks! John
