Whats happening lego people? I found this site On Sunday, lost all semblance of reason becuase I read it until 3 am (7am start time at work) every night since and just blew my 1st thousand on legos to invest in. This is the place of my people. I love my job, but I LOVE hunting down diamonds, and turning a profit. Its the rush. Just wanted to thank everyone for contributing to this awesome site. ITs definitley led me to make some purchases, and I hope that I can grow it readily. ...So far, I found 3 sets of series 2 mixles, 3 sets of series 3, 2 t1s, 1 mini, 1 DGB, 1 Blocktober set, 4 Ecto-1s, 4 Exo-suits, 4 treehouses, and a few Star wars mins to play with. …

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on here for a couple of weeks reading, reading, and reading some more. I have been into Lego for a few years, but never really thought about investing in them until recently. My husband fully supports my Lego obsession although I think some of my friends and family think I'm a little crazy. Anyway, I appreciate all the helpful posts and look forward to reading them all.

Hello everyone, Just thought I'd post and say Hi as since Xmas, I've started buying a few sets as investment but also as a bit of a hobby. 8 sets purchased and not a single one of them opened! Mostly LOTR, Hobbit and Star wars for now but who knows where it'll end up I've also decided to dig out my old box of lego from when I was a kid. I have no idea whats in there altogether so may need some help identifying pieces. Talk to you all soon.

Hi there, I'm a new potential investor from the Tampa, Florida area. I have been enjoying reading this site for the past few days. There is a huge amount of information, it puts any investing website I have ever seen to shame. Kudos for the good work. I won't bother anyone with any questions yet, I'm sure there is more than enough information on this site to answer all I will have. I look forward to lurking on these boards and picking up some of your experienced thoughts. Happy investing.

As the title states, I am just getting started in collecting and investing in Lego sets. I would like to get a jump start and ask someone to help me out in figuring out which sets to buy. I am willing to compensate for your help. I am 40 years old, married, and have children so I'm not some wishy washy youngin. Thank you in advance.

Hi peeps, Just wanted to post up a proper hello. I have decided to step it up on the 'lego investing'. I purchased as many BttF sets as I could afford last year and as that is looking decent so far I have decided to see what else I can get involved with. Have read a lot on here this week and so trying to get some sort of plan as I am on a very limited budget. At the minute I am concentrating on discounted (30-40%) 2013 sets. Amazon grid and discount checker are an amazing help here and I didn't even consider that Amazon might be the best place for these bargains. I'm finding it hard to decide what to go for but trying to be patient which isn't easy…

Greetings, just signed up. My profession is the buying and selling of sneakers, usually Air Jordans and other such Nike's, so I'm quite familiar with the basic model, principal's involved, having to sit on items to let them appreciate, selling on eBay, etc. I was into Lego's as a child (as well as sneakers ) and back in 2008 I happened to walk into a Lego store at a mall in NJ and saw a collector series Millennium Falcon on display. I thought it was awesome but also thought that $500 retail seemed like a lot of money. Sometime last year in my browsing of the internet I happened to look it up on eBay. Seeing the current market value led me to do more research and l…

I've been a member here since November 1st (same day I started collecting) but figured now that I have 1 rack filled I'd introduce myself. This post could also go in the "how am I doing?" or the "stockroom pictures" thread. But I figure I would throw it here. I definitely consider myself small time and mainly use the profits from my sales to finance my own collection (keeping the wife off my back ). I have most of these sets on the rack built and in my personal collection as well. All of the ones on the rack are new in sealed box. I think I'm doing ok but open to criticism. Only bought 2 city sets, a high speed train for $100 and a coast guard plane for a…

Hi Everyone, Just thought I'd say hola from down under. Since I've been exposed to BP by my brother in-law a couple weeks ago, there has not been a day that goes bywhere I don't check BP! I've discovered my new love of LEGO again and really enjoy the talk on this community. I'm originally from LA and am kicking myself that I didn't get into LEGO back then since the prices and sales in the US seem to be a lot more decent than the deals here in Australia! Either way, I'm really grateful to Ed and Jeff (sorry if I don't have the right people, still pretty new to this) for putting this community together! I'll stop my rambling for now, so, HI!

Hi Everyone, We are a Family of 4 Traveling the Country and enjoying Life. Have been traveling throughout the world, many years before. Through that we speak several languages, German, english, Swedish & Danish. In the near future we will be settling back down into a Stick & Brick Home, so our Kids (& me) have room to play with Lego and other things. Also will be starting a BL Store at that time, since we really enjoy the hunt for Lego. At the Time we only sell on eBay & Amazon mostly other stuff. If you want to know more just feel free to ask. I thought that I had posted one of these but I guess not. I am an adult from Eau Claire, Wisconsin who has rekindled his love in Lego thanks to having children. I'm not sure that I will ever invest in Lego but then you never know. Any members here from Eau Claire or Wisconsin?

Hey all, I joined the site Dec. 27, 2014. Glad to be here. I lurked around for a bit before deciding to introduce myself. I'm a 25 (26 in Jan) Y/O newlywed from a small town in KY. I've never been into Lego actually, my parents never got them for me as toys and i never thought about them. My new wife's best friend's husband (fathers brothers nephews cousins former roommate) is a big child, which is not bad. He has more toys than most grown adults, but the kicker is he gets them to play with. His Legos are all opened, and not assembled, but that's neither here nor there. Point is i started to wonder how much he had spent on them, and that led me to wondering how much…

Hello to everyone. This is my first post, so I figured I would start with a quick introduction as my first post. I was a Lego fan in my youth, having collected a few small sets, but was reintroduced at X-mas when my sister and brother-in-law (who is a huge Lego fan and Architect) got me the Mini Cooper set (10242). This sparked a bit of an addiction, and I've since purchased half a dozen decent size sets, a ton of minifigs, and miscellaneous other items. A full-on addiction has started, hunting for sales at local toy sellers, and plotting my own MOCs. Hopefully I can contribute to the forum, and feed my addiction through discussion and speculation, potentially lessening t…

Have always 'known they appreciate in price but never seriously thought about them as possible investments, but now I know better! Am from LA and feel lucky I have a few lego shops within reach. Definitely looking forward to discussing more about this fun and rewarding hobby!

Hi, I'm Jeff. Been collecting action figures since 2007, but not Lego. I'm seriously considering switching to Lego collecting, and it all started when our Shell fuel stations had a Lego promo.. I managed to complete the entire set, and haven't opened them. My parents are also sending Lego for my son, and he's enjoying them more than the DC Universe action figures and Transformers (although my son's fave are die cast cars). Hoping to read the many topics here to learn more about Lego collecting (and possibly investing), before I take the plunge. Have a great day, and thanks for your time in dropping by this topic.

  24. New to the Lego Investment Community. I have been a seller on Ebay for about 15 years. So I am always looking for new angles. My wife accuses me of being a hoarder and compulsive shopper. At heart I am a flipper and not an investor, although I have hoarded about 400 Monster High Dolls. I probably have a few dozen Lego sets in storage along with my dolls and various other "junk" as my wife calls it. Twenty Fallout 3 Collectors editions are not junk!!! Nor my Wii Mario Allstars!!! We moved to Indonesia a couple of years ago and now live in Jakarta. Although I am now financially secure...I can't stop "hustling" as I call it. Lego has become my latest thing. We have a Leg…

Hey Everyone, My name is Ahmed and I'm from Canada. A little about me Is I love comedy, writing, and soccer. I'm 20 years old and working to put myself through university currently! As a kid I loved playing with Legos, and recently I read an article on people using Legos as an investment/trading commodity and it just struck me as brilliant. I loved playing with them as a kid, love the world of economics and trading, plus as a student living out on my own for the first time, it seems like something that requires much less start up capital than traditional trading, but also holds the potential to make me some extra money, which is something every student could…
