Hello all. New member here. (tried to join Brickset, but for some reason couldn't get a confirm e-mail). Been "playing" with lego ever since my mother both a used set for me back in the 70s (yes, I am an old man at 54). Haven't built in a while, but been cleaning up assorted bricks from around the house, so I will probably start a new project soon. I was a coach for a lego robotic team for the first 9 years lego was introduced to FIRST. Probably won't post much here, but will put up pics for assorted builds as they come around. (I have a specific question on a set which I will post in the appropriate section). Thanks. Paul.

Hi, I've been lurking on here for ages and I thought I'd better get involved. I'm trying to be good at selling Lego, but I mainly seem to be good at stockpiling it and not much else. Wife has explicitly banned me from buying any more lego, so last week I spent a grand on Tesco 3for2's. She took it surprisingly well as it goes! I only aim to make 20%+ as a bank beating savings scheme, so far it's working from the two sets I've sold (42009, 10188) but I need to find a better way to sell than Amazon who charge eye watering fees! Anyways, hello. Bristol btw. Dave/Hoffmonkey

Hello everyone. I am somewhat new to the site but have been a member for about two years. I have been going to school working on a master's degree in computer science, work full time, and have a family. I keep pretty busy and have not had time to really sit down and post comments on this website or work on Lego reviews, etc. I am in my last semester of school and the semester is winding down giving me more free time that what I was expecting with this being the last semester. I am an avid Lego fan. I have a variety of sets that make up my personal collection. The most recent sets I have purchased have been the Star Wars Rogue One waive, excluding the buildable figur…

I'm somewhat new to the collecting and mostly reselling or trading for other sets. I do have a nice collection of Legos MY Brickfolio increased by 28% last month and I've got roughly 80 sets so if you're wanting to trade, I'm the guy! As that's what got me into sports cards! My Technic sets are in another room along with many others!

Hello! Someone at ToysNBricks suggested that I check out the forum here. I'm StClair at Toysnbricks. Apparently I joined Brickpicker at some point in the past and forgot (thus I'm using the name that I originally signed up with and not StClair). I'm a single father, art teacher and AFOL.

Hello all, My name is Matthew from SoCal and I've been a fan of Lego's from the early 80s during my elementary school years. I was a space Lego fan and that went hand in hand with my love of Star Wars. I passed my Lego's onto my younger brother as I got older. Eventually my mom saved them and stuck them away in the garage. Fast forward 25 years and I was able to retrieve them and use them with my 3 year old daughter. The Legos were dusty and a bit dirty so I separated all of them and tossed them in the washing machine on gentle for an short time. Attached is a pic of them air drying. I ended up sorting by color into small boxes and have been grabbing a handful…

Hi everyone, Of all the Lego forums I've been stalking this is the one I come back to most so I decided to join! I'm more of a displayer than an investor but got addicted to resell values when the 2 sets I so nearly bought, when I first got into looking at Lego, retired and then increased so much in value I kicked myself. . . Haunted House and Falling Water. I now buy mostly to build but keep boxes and instruction pristine and occasionally buy to put away.

Hey folks, I'm new hear and thought I'd take a min to introduce myself. I'm sure I'm part of a rare breed that played with LEGO when I was a kid (30-35 years ago), stopped playing with them in my teens, mom sold them at a yard sale (or threw them out), and now several decades later I'm rekindling my interest in LEGO with my 2 sons (ages 4 & 5). I'm kidding about being a rare breed, I'm assuming this is pretty commonplace. Anyhow, I like finding deals (in general), but especially on toys for my kids. I understand that < $0.06/block on new sets is pretty good, so I tend to buy (currently, smaller 3 in 1) sets when I see that type of price point. Alth…

Hello there! I'm Juanjo, from Barcelona, Spain. I just discovered your site and I'm excited to share this passion with you. I truly love some branded sets (Simpsons, LOTR, Toy Story), Technic, Mindstorms... And my greatest frustration is not to own my own Caroussel (way too expensive!). My latest buy is the Disney World castle (I Don't know if it will be a good investment or not, I'm just mad for it). So well... I think it's more or less me. Happy to say you Hi! See you around

I wanted to start saving/investing in them and after researching online I found myself here. I appreciate all of the information the site has to offer, and wanted to start to get involved in the forum so i figured introducing myself here would be a great place to start!

New here - was mostly interested in finding out what some of my collection might be worth after I looked up my Yoda in Amazon and saw it was going for $800 to $1300... Yowza - especially since I remember buying it at Target for like a hundred bucks! So I've been trying to enter things in the 'Brickfolio', only none of my sets are coming up... Do we know how often the database is refreshed? I mean, some of these sets are Lego Movie and Jurassic World, so they're not that old, but still - it should be coming up, right?

Hi everyone , My name is Alexander and I've been coming here for a while but since I'm a bit internet shy I've never really posted anything till now. I was never a big fan of lego growing up and I only remember owning a couple of space themed sets but my main interest as a kid was action figures mainly GIJOE, transformers and star wars . I have never stopped collecting and because of my Hobby I got into buying and selling on eBay . I've been selling on eBay for at least 14 years maybe more and I sell just about anything i can get my hands on that i can resell with a good profit . I also sell on amazon mostly FBA when i find the right products . Most of the stuff I …

Thank You, ps: I am also a lego vip member, would that help or not?

A quick question - is it OK to mention the "brick" sales venues by name? and another how long has Brick Classifieds been up? OK one more will Brick Classifieds become more of a pieces and parts venue? Thanks!

Hello, I am just starting my lego investing career and I have a few questions. I do plan on doing this for the long haul. I am looking at buying Tower bridge, Pet shop, Sydney opera, ewok village, palace cinema, sandcrawler, santas workshop, fairground mixer, parisian restaurant, or the simpsons house as my first buy. My first question is why has the tower bridge been out so long and was it retired and rereleased? Second, are these all solid choices or is my research bad and I need to rethink my strategy? Third, which one do you think is the best choice or choices for my first buy. *edit* I forgot to add Remote-Controlled VOLVO L350F Wheel…

Hey all. Im Nick 34 old and im from Edmonton, Canada. I have been collecting Lego since i can remember but just recently i started looking them as an investment. I have numerous sets and its hard for me to part from them although when i see how much some of them are worth today i am tempted. My plan is to buy double sets, one for me and one to resell at later date and this site looks like a awesome learning guide. Anyway, if anyone has some good ideas on current sets that might go up in future, any advice would be appreciated.

I've been searching for a nice community and stumbled in here. I am 40 now, but grew up with Legos into my teen years. After that, well, I didn't have much time for the hobby and it faded away mostly. Fast forward to the now. I didn't really fall back into the exciting hobby I once knew as a kid. It was all by "happenstance". Let's rewind a few years. 2012, I had been a cop for 13 years. One night, I was outside of my patrol car with some kids that were out at 2am without permission. While I was talking with them, I was struck by a passing car. I suffered a lot of injuries, but the worst was the brain injury. Let's skip through the past 4 years. I saw…

Hi there! I apologize, as I know it's probably been asked 1,000 times. I'm a 45 yr old mom and grew up on Lego (greatest invention EVER!). We now have a 5 yr old son who is obsessed with Star Wars Lego. I've recently begun to buy Lego, not necessarily to resell, but I only like to buy ones I think I might be getting a deal on. Is there a place here on BrickPicker where I can quickly look up what it's currently worth? Also, I'm not planning on selling my Lego, but do people sell on here? If not, where? eBay? Craigslist? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
