Just a random observation of something that's happened a few times now. Back in the summer I bought a whole bunch of the DC Super Heroes cheap sets on clearance and they sat on my shelves for months, unloved. Then yesterday one of the Wonder Woman dorm rooms sold, I raised the price $5, then another sold, raised the price $5, then the last one sold. Something similar happened around this time last year where I had 3 of the most recent pirate ships sit for months and then they all sold on the same weekend. Makes me wonder if some youtuber or mommy blogger somewhere suddenly posted a video review recommendation or something. I see that the price for the Wonder Woman dorm is…

I just got a great deal on 30+lbs of Lego blocks from yard sale. I plan on putting the sets together and buying the instructions from bricklink. After I have some fun putting them together I thought I would sell them on eBay. Many of the sets are retired and I should be able to get some money for them. What I want to know, is it worth buying the original boxes to complete the set. Also if I decide to keep the mini figs will it hurt the cost they go for. Thanks!

This is for current sets, not anything close to EOL. I am curious, at what point do you pull the trigger and buy the set? For me, I normally don't see anything go lower than 20% (unless I find "special offers" - like Amazon signup bonus), so right now my trigger is 20% off MSRP. Should I be aiming for better price? (Assume this is mainly for large sets.. like modular building sets, UCS sets, etc, if this makes a difference)

I was just wondering at what point do you think a set is discounted enough to buy? I recently bought the "Escape from Mirkwood Spiders" at a 20% discount and it dropped another 10% the following week. I wanted the "Attack of the Wargs" but didn't buy it at a 20% discount because I was waiting for a 30% drop. It never came and is now back to the regular price. :(

Hi, I am new to selling lego sets and was just looking for advice. Specific Advice. I have a few 8129-1: AT-AT Walker and according to this website the average selling price right now is about 250. 1. Should I think about selling my 8129s this Christmas period? 2. If I should sale them this Christmas period what is a good date to list them? Thanks

SO I have been going back and fourth with this set on when might be the best time to think about selling. I believe a new Wolverine set with Magneto and Wolverine comes out later this year. In the mean time, this set is already up around $50 on Ebay and climbing. I am thinking if the new Wolverine sets come out in the fall, this would be a good sell at $60 or more in the summer. But if they come out sooner rather than later, the big time growth could stop. On the other hand, maybe it wont have a huge effect and this set will continue to soar for several years. What are people's thought? Honestly I am bored with the lack of deals lately so I a…

Hi, I'm trying to buy some power functions parts, specially the 8884 IR receiver, but Lego LEGO Shop at Home doesn't allow me to buy in the quantities that I need. Because I don't live in the US, Lego education doesn't ship to me. Do you know any stores that sell the power functions line without restrictions in their quantities and at reasonable prices? Regards, Brickbr

Good morning! My son is wanting to get rid of his lego collection! We have over 110 pounds of lego pieces from the last 15 years. He was in to Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets for a while as well as Technics, bionicles, and lego racers. We have a bunch of the little men (minifigs) I don't know where to begin. I want to get a fair price but not even sure what that is these days. Can someone give me advice of where to start etc.....? Thanks in advance! Karen

I need to use some Kmart rewards points in the next couple of days and I decided to pick up the Chima gorilla mech and some fillers to get free shipping. Kmart doesn't have too many options. I have narrowed down my three filler options too: 1. Republic Trooper vs sith battlepack 11.36 and Castle Forest Ambush 9.29 total 20.65 2. Shredders Dragon Bike 24.96 3. Sith battlepack and Droidekas battlepack 11.72 for total of 23.08 Which should I go with?

I would have liked to added these last options onto the other clearance thread but there is only room for three questions per poll so I had to create another just for these. I only tried listing the main stores and websites but if I am missing some good ones, please let me know. I can add major retailers from different regions since not everyone has access to certain stores.

I have a 16 oz scale that I have been using forever and I love it. Whenever I had a larger package I would run to the PO weigh it and come home to print the label. Was never really and issue as I normally make 2 trips to the PO everyday. I am about to start selling some LEGO product and these little pieces weigh a ton! I am finally going to take the plunge and get a decent scale to sell larger items. I looked at Amazon, which of these would you recommend? Weigh Max - $18.54 http://www.amazon.com/Weighmax-Digital-Postal-Scales-Shipping/dp/B003ZJQ5RU/ref=pd_sbs_indust_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=138HN69VR6MYZZTZGNN7 Accuteck - 17.99 http://www.amazon.com/Ac…

I have a 10% off LEGO store coupon from the new catalog that I'm not gonna use. Its good until 4/15 first person to respond gets it. I will mail it to you for free. No catch I am just not gonna use it, I was gonna use it to get a SSD but my Lego stores don't carry them anymore and the coupon needs has to be used in store.

I was looking at the LOTR series because I was unsure as to how many sets were released and I noticed that some sets over here are way more expensive than in the US. For example 9476, in the US store it's priced at $39.99 while in Spain's store it's priced at

I’m stressed out- and I know so may of you are too- so to cope, I’ve been on the hunt for a few sets that have eluded me over the years. Great Deals specifically, money is TIGHT 🙃(Now is the time for people in $ pickles to dump collections you know) I collect SW, Architecture, HP, Creator, Ideas... typical collector themes. I also love and collect (old & new) Bionicle and Ninjago. I can’t keep up with every new Ninjago set, so I generally stick to the dragon, mech, and large building sets. Recently I purchased the just released Ninjago Legacy City Gardens 71741, and realized that I never bought the Ninjago Movie City Docks 70657. I do have the Ninjago Movie…

Seeing this happen makes me want to return this just to teach this person a lesson. I recently bought a fire temple Ninjaco set (new) off ebay for $90. Pretty nice deal. Got here today - wrapped in shipping paper, no box, crushed all to hell, seals burst on both sides, looks like elephant used it as a seat cushion. Obviously, its still worth way more than I paid for it but I am irritated about it. Don't understand how anyone can think this is ok. Does this happen to you all a lot? I have had this happen 3 times in the last month with sets. One was luckily fine, other two were beat to hell.

Hey guys! Wasn't entirely sure where to put this... I am selling it so this may be appropriate. I have a sealed 6866 which seems to have a rattling piece inside not in a bag. Now i have a couple of these left and none have this unique rattling sound which i'm %99 sure it's a very tiny loose piece not bagged rattling around. I know from experience some large pieces are not bagged in some sets, but this one sounds like a very very tiny piece. I'm more or less wondering if this is anything to be concerned about. Could one of the bags have a tiny hole it escaped from? could it be a fluke and just an extra piece? Does anyone else have any experience with this…
