I have seen some of the trans clear Vaders, Troopers, and C3PO in the past and am looking to collect some of those items. Who else has collected these items and has some advice on how to order them, or where to order them from? Should I order them as whole, or just the unique molded pieces? (Meaning, the torsos and legs may independently be cheaper than a whole Trans Clear Vader.) Thoughts?

I was at TRU yesterday picking up a few polybags. I am always in there checking stuff on my rounds so they know me quite well. I was informed that word had come from corporate stating that they now have a purchase limit of 10 of any one item. She (the manager) advised me it had something to do with resellers. Not there is ever a real opportunity to buy 10 of ANYTHING there, but I am wondering if this ultimately came directly from LEGO.

I purchased the Vampyre Castle from TRU and it came in today. The box is damaged and I am not completely sure the factory tape seal wasn't messed with. As an investor, you need the box to be in mint condition. I was disappointed and don't know now where I can't get another - this was my only VC. Would you take it back?

I bought a Vampyre Castle in store at TRU but discovered later it was cheaper online so I had one shipped to home. The condition of the box that shipped to home was worse than the one I bought in store. Think I can return the one that shipped to home using the receipt from the in store order without any hassle?

I recently bought a lot that included almost all of the parts for a set still sealed in the original bags. I would like to find a source for the other bags of parts so that I can package them together as a "new" set, but am not sure how to find someone selling in this manner. I am sure that people part the set out for sale on BrickLink, but I am not sure how to interrupt them in the process of parting out the set in order to get the full bags. Anyone have thoughts on methods to do this?

So I had a question as I am trying to finish getting things together for Tax season. I went through my sales and everything and calculated it up. Its a little bit lower than Paypals 1099K number. However I know this is a gross amount which doesn't take out refunds, credits, etc. for all sorts of other stuff. How does everyone add these up? Is there a section in Paypal where you can see all the categories like How much you received in Chargebacks? Or Reversals etc.?

Hi all, I'm going to list some old used sets from '95-'97 on ebay in a few weeks and to be completely honest I wanted to post what would be available online to the community here. The issue is I was not sure which thread (if any) I can post this under. I am trying to get into some of the newer sets with the funds from these sales. Thanks for any advice! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Just a heads up... There is a store called Tuesday Morning which is basically a buy-out store. I popped into one today and saw a few Lego sets. Nothing I wanted (Minotaurus game, mining truck, and another game), but, if you are ever near one of these stores, it might not be a bad idea to see if they have anything you might be interested in.

Trying to stay calm... How do you guys handle normal shelf wear on products you sell? Just annoying dealing with buyers sometimes... Do you just not sell anything unless its Mint? Just sent a guy a JP with normal shelf wear, which was in my description and I know the truth is that he is having buyer's remorse. I would have rated his box at an 7.5 if Mint is a 9 and 10 is impossible. Just frustrated a bit. Looking for advice and guidance moving forward so I don't have hiccups during Christmas.

Anyone else finding their local TRU has been ravaged over Xmas, and there's very little good stuff to spend the £20 gift cards we were given before Xmas on? My local store has probably less than 25% of the sets on the shelves it would usually have at any time of year, and there's a lot of City, Chima, Ninjago, and Scooby Doo sets nobody wants (i.e. not the good ones). Vouchers expire on 16th of Jan, I think. Torn between buying the best of what they have now (not even sure what that would be!), and holding on for a week or so. Don't want to find that after that week, there's even less stock left! Anyone any idea on what the TRU restock pattern m…

A small padded envelope I sent to another trader is showing "Undeliverable as Addressed". Anyone seen this before. Before the tracking showed this it was "Out for Delivery" to the correct location. Does this mean the mailmen just decided not to deliver the package?

Just wanted to you know that the unimog that I originally thought might be from a scamming illegal drop shipper arrived yesterday. It indeed was NOT a drop shipped item, the seller however fabricated his shipping box out of a few much smaller boxes and taped up the seams as best he could, but a few were wide open when the item arrived. I want to be clear here, this is not one of those shipping nightmares where the lego box has been punctured or crushed, however, due to some of the edges being exposed, it did arrived pretty frayed and was not something I would have bought in a store. The seller in this case has over 1000 feedback and 100% positive, so he must do somet…

I recently received two packages of retired sets via UPS from two separate stores, and the shipping boxes and sets within suffered from significant damage. So I started a claims process and was wondering how long the whole process is going to take. And if I'd receive the items back if the claims were rejected since I read that UPS has a stringent claims policy.

I have been shipping with USPS for 95% of the time. Now Stamps.com had UPS now, and the shipping cost is a lot cheaper than USPS from east to west. So I love the stamps.com insurance. But now if I switch to UPS, they dont have insurance. Only declared value. So, for the seller that use UPS/Fedex a lot to sell high value lego, do you put more on the declare value. UPS said declared value not insurance. So, do you have to buy insurance from third party? What's your advise on declare value and insurance. Thank you

I'm wondering what is considered acceptable from the standpoint of the used condition of bricks in a built set. I am currently piecing together some sets from a massive CL haul. I am discarding any broken, discolored, or gouged/dented/deeply scratched pieces, but almost all have numerous hairline scratches on them that can be seen when looking at them at a certain angle with decent lighting. For the modulars I'm building, I'm thinking about just pick-a-bricking a ton of 2x2 and 1x2 tiles, since these seem to be the most noticeable (on the sidewalk areas, mostly). I realize that even brand new sets can have these scratches, just from being in the bags, so I'm wonderi…

I have a few Amzn returned sets that are partially opened which I want to unload on eBay as used sets. There may be 1 or 2 bags that were opened but most of the bags are still sealed. Some of the sets are missing a few little pieces like 1x4 flats, parts of the base that nobody can see once the build is completed. I can easily replace them with pieces of different colors. But I do not feel like placing a bunch of Bricklink orders to replace something that is not visible at the end. How much of these should be disclosed in my eBay listing? Do I need to list all of the small pieces I replace with different color ? In your experience, are the used set buyers so an…

So, it finally happened to me. USPS destroyed a shipment of mine and then delivered it anyway. Buyer contacted me and wants to return or something, but I have a few questions. It was a 42000 that I sold for $200 on ebay and sent Priority. The shipping box and the set box are smashed all to hell. The set appears intact and complete however. The buyers states it is for a collector though. So I offered a return and full refund or a partial refund (amount not specified). 1. Is USPS supposed to deliver a box they clearly destroyed? Thought that was odd. 2. So if I file a claim with USPS, they will want to see the damaged box. Does the buyer need to take that in or …

I'm looking for some help from you Pickers who have had to file a lost package claim. I've had a shipment drop off of tracking, my local post office isn't much help, and I'll probably be filing a claim in a couple of days. (This is my first time dealing with this.) My buyer has been very patient so far, and I would like to keep them happy so they don't hit me with a neg. At the same time, I'm assuming it could take a while to get the insurance money back for the lost package. I guess what I'm asking is : At what point in this process am I "Safe" to refund the customers money? I don't want to refund the money, the package comes back …
