I just received a "package" that contains a "new" LEGO 9398 Technic 4X4 Crawler ordered from Amazon UK. This is undoubtely the most terrible package condition I have ever received. The whole package is wet and is wrapped in bubble wrapper just to hold it together. I guess the package probably once fall into the sea and then rescued by the coast guard or something... The box is very soft and is torn apart by the time I carefully open the package, not sure if everything is still there. Probably hard to "return shipping" in this case. Does anyone have similar experience? I remembered someone on BP has requested refund from Amazon UK. How does that work…

we have a retiring soon speculation thread, the actual retiring thread, but there is no "why won't this set die!!!" thread I have 4 girls, so started early foolish time investing with the Friends line. can I include the entire friends line as well as the princess stuff ( see DC and Cindy castle)? I still see series 3 mixels and series 12 minifigures everywhere the minecraft microworlds I thought would die last xmas, but the forest and end keep their never ending supply going. besides the usual suspects (TB and DS) what haunts you?

Had to laugh this morning at the lengths one must go to for the love of the plastic brick... and where my limits end and others obviously don't (possibly why I shouldn't quit my day job...oops too late) !! So there was a Garage sale (translate: yard sale) listed on Gumtree (translate: kinda like craigslist but a bit prettier) last weekend - twas scheduled to occur this morning from 6 am- the headliner item was listed as LEGO (that has gotta mean you have a bunch of it right for it to be the first item listed?). The address was only 3 streets away from me so I was a bit cheeky and text the number 40 minutes after it was listed last weekend to ask what kind of LEGO it w…

As the holiday season overwhelms us with it's buying frenzy it brings with it selling season. I watch day in and day out as we buy and sell like brokers at the brick exchange. I gorge myself on holiday deals bat caves, Mixels and hunting down rare missed or returned sets. Then comes the thrilling part selling it. I watch my iPhone like a blue haired retiree from Boca Raton in Vegas, waiting for the cha-Ching. Sadly my listings expire no takers and then comes the hard part stuck to my price point, or compromise it for the thrill of the quick sale. It's the age old battle of that quick rush or the long rewarding was it. Ironically this is the American mercantile drea…

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2010-Lego-Star-Wars-10212-Imperial-Shuttle-Factory-Sealed-NEW-Unopened-Retired-/121097691127 I was very impressed with this auction. If this is someone on here, good for you. Maybe Amazon could take a lesson from this?

Not sure if this is a topic that already exists somewhere else or if it belongs here (I did a search already), but the users here whom have stores, can you tell us if you take payments using a credit card reader? If so, which service have you found works best? Pay Pal, Square, your bank or some other? Just curious, since I plan on selling from home or when I'm on the go at a tradeshow or something... Thanks!

What are they worth do you think? I really want one for the Missus. Sadly I didn't get one as a newer VIP member. Here are some ebay listings to watch: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Lego+4644591&_sacat=0&_odkw=4644591&_osacat=0&_from=R40

Check out this eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Lot-Variety-/281244592605?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item417b7be9dd So I contacted the seller to clarify if the sets included in the pictures are included because they do not match what is in the pictures. Their response was the pictures do not match the list and then quoted be $1000 extra if the Haunted House was included. LOL! Check out some of the prices they put on the sets too!

I was out running errands and stopped into one of our cities many thrift stores yesterday and in the toy section I saw 5 big bags of Lego sitting there. I have found some Lego recently but nothing like this. So for a grand total of 27.32(give or take a few pennies) I walked out with what is at least 30-35 pounds of the good stuff. I was absolutely stoked! I could tell right off the bat that there was plenty of star wars as well as one bag that had been specifically sorted to have town pieces in it. This is going to take me a while to sift through but based on the minifigs I have found thus far and certain unique parts I have thus far determined that the follo…

I'd like to publicly give paypal a double thumbs up. I was ready to accept a $120 rookie mistake when I sold to someone in the Russian Federation who had only had their account for a couple days. Shipped off a Spongebob set via First Class international. Received a chargeback notice after shipping, saying the purchase was unauthorized. Now I know (but then I didn't) that paypal seller protection covers you in the event that you ship via a traceable service (USPS priority express). I'm pretty sure that these people go searching for sellers that list first class international as an option as I had ANOTHER sale two days later from a different person in the Russian Feder…

Hi, Anyone have any tips on cheap international shipping for larger lego sets from the UK. I have lots of large sets that I will probably sell in the future on ebay but the international postage/shipping costs seem prohibitively expensive and therefore limiting my market. Any advice or people with experience would be appreciated? Also for those of you in USA, Australia, or continental Europe, what would you pay for shipping and still be happy with the price? (Use 2507 Ninjago Fire Temple or 9468 Vampyre Castle as an example) thanks.

So I am all excited because I have just received a MISB SSD for less than retail Price (2013 seals). Now comes the complicated bit which is trying to sell it. I realize that patience is a virtue for this type of set so I plan to advertise it late next year around the launch of the new film. What I am a little concerned about is selling single items worth more than 700 euros on EBay as up until now I have been in the sub 200 market. I have read some great selling advice on this forum such as making sure to get signed delivery, insuring the shipment, not accepting home collection and blocking buyers with poor account history or from certain countries. …

So I here people mention this a lot and I totally understand - 1. Frustrated with Idiot buyers 2. TIred of going to the post office everyday. 3. Want to smash your tape dispenser 4. Done with printing labels and paying stupid USPS inflated prices. 5. Done with USPS losing packages And more and more. So I thought I would share what is helping me through this on the off chance it might help someone else. I am a candid guy - probably too open sometimes - but in January I was really really struggling with this. December burned me out some and made me realize that I was frustrating myself to much. This was complicated by the fact that …

Found a used bulk lot for sale locally, that I am interested in but the price is kinda steep. In the bottom right corner of one of the tubs in their post I see what looks like a black ship hull. The only set I know of with this black hull piece is the Black Pearl set. If this bulk lot potentially contains a Black Pearl then it is definitely worth it. I just wanted to see if anyone knew of any other sets this piece could possibly be from first before buying.

Debating on whether or not to register as an LLC. Looking for pro's and con's from those of you who have done it, or those of you who have decided not to do it. Not sure if there is a thresh-hold of sales volume or other things to consider when making the decision. I know LEGO isn't exactly an item that you have a ton of liability selling, but thinking that maybe it would make taxes and debt's easier to control and track.

I saw a thread recently where Toywiz.com is buying Lego for resale. I logged in to my account and to my surprise, some of their prices are pretty good and considerably higher than the prices of items I picked up on clearance. If you need to offload some items quickly and don't want to hassle with EBay and PayPal fees, this may be a decent option. http://www.toywiz.com/toywizbuying.html Quick screenshot of a few items:

I just saw this on brickset.com and it seems pretty straight forward. Trade4cash will buy your new or used lego by the pound or piece. So it stands to reason that if you've bought some sets that wont return much via ebay or bricklink you could sell them here by the lb. Take for instance the recent "free" galaxy squad sets at TRU. The space swarmer was available for about $4 and weighs approximately .64 lbs. Short of bricklinking these sets it's not likely to return much. The current payout is $10.50 per lb, and brickset readers get an additional 10% by using promo code BRICKSET at checkout. They also state that they'll pay $6.00 a lb for "good" quality pieces, whic…
