For several reasons, with which I will not bore you, it is time for me to part ways with this pile of sets. Mainly, and the biggest reason, is that I want to take a break from the investing/reselling game for a while and focus on other endeavors. So for me to do that, as I was told by my father, was to get this stuff out of his basement. A little of everything can be found here, from STAR WARS, Exclusive Minifigs, NINJAGO and more. I've entered the sets into the Lot Calculator on this site. Three times to be truthful, just to triple check myself for any errors. The lot is valued at $12.3K. The price for the lot is $9,000. All sets are factory sealed. All sets are listed b…

Has anyone been successful combining Toys R Us egift cards lately? I have been able to do it via their website previously but it is not working today. I recall someone had some some problems after cardcash had a bunch of TRU cards available 9-10 days ago. I would rather not do it in store but if they have removed the ability to do it online I guess in store it must be.

So depending on what lines you have chosen to invest in- are there any sets that you have that you are sick of looking at- wish someone would buy it already? Mine: Lone Ranger Jurassic world Although the obvious is that LR is a not sought after theme, and JW was so massively hoarded that there is not much meat on the bone. Needless to say that sales were promising around BF and have since fizzled out considerably.

I've been lucky over the last few weeks, and sales have really picked up. Of course, I hadn't really started listing things until the last couple of months either. Now that I'm listing, I realized - my books aren't as in good order as they need to be. I kept okay books - I knew when I had bought stuff, and how much I bought it for. But I realized it was time for a complete overhaul. I also needed to go through and do a complete inventory (again) to make sure I had everything in the right place, and tracked. And to make my life easier when it comes time to filling orders. So, while I've been following all the excitement over the last few weeks, I've also b…

I sold a set today for over $100 to a buyer that has feedback from the past, but nothing in the past year and a half. I have sent a follow up email and tried calling. Would you guys wait to hear back at a minimum before shipping or would you send anyway as I have to mail within 1 day? I don't see any issues as it appears the account has been active for a decade but don't think I am able to confirm their address has never been changed? Perhaps I should call Ebay customer support to confirm this. Thanks

Hey everyone, I'm thinking that it may be time to sell my collection. Just wanted to see if anyone has any tips like where to sell, how I could possibly sell the whole collection together, and generally anything you may have found helpful when you were selling. I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I've been listing Lego again on Ebay trying to sell out my collection for financial reasons. I was contacted by a person wanting to buy everything I had listed so far (about 20 sets) and everything else I have (about 80 more sets). He said we could do the transaction through a paypal invoice. He has been a member of Ebay since 2013 with 100% feedback. In his message his emailis different from user name. It ends with Uptown trades out of Brooklyn New York. Would you do this deal? I would have to ship everything.

So they are having a toy/comic/cosplay convention here in Jacksonville later this month. I am going to have a vendor table and will be selling my current Lego stuff and my G.I. Joe's and Transformers from when I was a kid. I wanted to see if anyone else has done this and if they have any advices or recommendations. Also, it's the week of August 20th, should I get a Disney castle and ask like $500-$600, since it won't be available yet? Then if it doesn't sell, keep it for the inevitable Christmas shortage.

Question for those who Lego as a small business. does the mileage to buy a set affect the cost basis? If i drive to a store (Target, Walmart) to look for clearance Legos but don't end up getting any does that count as a deduction for mileage? thanks for the info. if this is posted somewhere else let me know.

I am going on about a month without any of my craigslist emails getting any responses. Does anyone have something on craigslist that I could try to reply to? I am wondering if the sellers are even getting my emails or just being douches. Most adds I respond to are around my area so I am not sure what is going on.

Just a heads up on this listing: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/clt/3162205658.html Of course $200 for a sealed 10179 is ridiculous but I wanted to kick the tires anyway. I have asked the seller to send pictures. The first picture he sent was from a ebay listing. I also inquired about the death star. That pic was from an Australian classified page. So of course, I asked for a specific picture. He sends me the thank you note you get with the set. Which I replied I want a picture of the set with a message on a piece of paper or you throwing up a peace sign. He responds with a picture of the set on top of a lego mat. Of course that pic is found on this site ht…

I have these Creator sets and they are priced well below the Lego RRP, retired sets. Just can't get rid of them for a reasonable price. I always thought Ferris Wheels, Ships and Castle's were popular. 31119 Ferris Wheel 31120 Medieval Castle 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent Any idea why these don't sell? Thanks

First time posting, but I have been lurking for a while now. I recently re fell in love with legos after building the Saturn V rocket. I was so amazed at the build and how every thing went together so perfectly. I immediately wanted to display it in my Man cave. After I did I started thinking about my other cool things I wanted to display. My collection of 100 amiibos that were just sitting in a bag came to mind. The rocket takes up a lot of room and I was wondering how I could display the rocket and all my Amiibos on the same shelf. I decided to build a 3-foot bridge that would go over my Saturn V. So far I have built a 2 level bridge and I have one more level to…

This is a great project that we undertook with our 6 year old as a way of making him a part of our "sales team." The map represents about 160 sales from 2015, starting with our first Lego sale in March. Each customer gets a pin on the map and then as we ship to a new state my son gets to use the computer to look up an interesting fact about that state, and then write it in a journal. That way he is learning cool facts, and practicing his handwriting and computer skills. I bet he is the only kid in his class that knows what a peninsula is (Florida), or what the state song of Connecticut is (Yankee Doodle). Ive been waiting for a sale to Alaska so we can learn about archipe…

There's nothing quite like snagging a few good deals. Not only does it save money, it allows for more investments to be made. Everyone has their good days, and the days they wish they didnt't have at all. This is the place to let it all out, wether it be in triumph or in defeat. (Hopefully triumph...) Post your "Daily Deals" below.

I was at the lego store today and they had several sets marked with discounts due to the boxes being damaged. Are these even worth buying for reselling at a later date? The sets I remembered seeing are: 76052 10236 10214 75095 10234 10232

What database program do you use to track your inventory? Have you found any that can use/scan the UPC codes to automatically insert data?

So I know there are other threads floating around about this, but I was curious to get a current pulse check. My gf recently has been showing me the power of Microsoft Access and has built an internal database for her lab. The thing is incredibly powerful and I immediately wondered how well it would work with my lego inventory / collection. Cons of Access for me are 1) having to purchase Office Business and 2) not having a PC so either a) running windows on my mac or b) finding a cheap PC to start this on. My hesitancy is, that is a lot of financial and time investment though on a gamble with access. I currently use Excel to track a lot. I have personal co…
