  1. I've been collecting LEGO now for about two years. I invest a little just to support my habit. Mostly stuff i can find at clearance such as the Black Pearl. I have collected Star Wars stuff in general for the last thirty years. Finally got burned out on action figures. I had friends that collected Star Wars LEGO but i never really thought much of it. Once i bought a set for myself though, i was hooked. Putting them together is very therapeutic and calming. I still collect some other Star Wars stuff like Gentle Giant busts and statues. I also collect Hot Wheels as well. With all this stuff, I am running out of room though. LOL I'm disabled with a heart condition so that's another reason i've cut down in the past few years. The problem with LEGO is there is always new cool stuff coming out. I can hardly keep up. Other than Star Wars, I also have been getting some of the Superheroes sets, but am wanting to get into the modulars as well. The money limitations are what keep me in check there. Anyways, i found the site doing some web surfing and i have to say, it's very informative. I'm glad to be a part of such a large collecting community!

  2. I've browsed the forums but can't find a topic solely about this set. Is the Orc Forge a good investment? It's online at

  3. "This might be a little worse than I had initially thought. Even if they are issuing a refund to everyone, I think this is one of those things where they are likely holding onto credit/debit card information. Amazon really needs to know about this and actually investigate." First time poster and relatively new to the site however knowing the amazon system is something that I a familiar with. Josh Amazon doesnt work like that for third party sellers. I am a fellow third party merchant with featured seller status on amazon and how it works is amazon handles all payments. As a third party merchant you dont even have access to credit card info. When you process the order as shipped the money then is transferred into your merchant account. You then can withdraw it to your bank account from there. This sellers metrics should hit a threshold where he gets banned i would assume. Amazon does not mess around in banning bad sellers as we are extensions of them and they do protect there image very well.

  4. If it has all the figs, I'd grab 8097 in an instant. Same with 6210. The missing rail on the skiff is probably part 6583 which you can grab for $0.20 on BL. I would skip 7672 personally. It's not that fun to build, isn't a great display piece, and is all-around quirky IMO. Vader's apprentice is the only thing holding value, so if he's the missing fig then its even easier to pass. I would also skip 7675 at that price. An ok build, but fragile when completed, and the new version looks pretty much the same. The gunship might just be up to your preference. If the stickers and books are in good shape, and your not dying to run out and buy the new one this summer, then it's a pretty good deal. Make sure Asaaj has her skirt (pricey), and that Cody isn't the missing "robot" (he probably means one of the little spy droids, which you can build yourself with common parts).

  5. Questions like that I are good because others may have noticed. I don't switch over to other currencies enough which is bad on my part. Overall this thread was really to talk about requesting new features, ideas and questions on how things work. It really wasn't meant to be a support thread, but things evolve. In the end, if there is an error, I want to know about it so that it can be taken care. Do I want to know spelling mistakes or bad use of punctuation, no, not really This thread will be 50,000,000 pages long.

  6. From the album: LFoW's MFZ MOC's

The barren, desert wastelands of Fenris VI are a known refuge for smugglers, ruffians, and mercenaries; the black markets there attract such scoundrels. But there's a section of the great desert Khras, beset by constant sandstorms, that even the cutthroats won't venture into anymore. Rumors of a mobile frame rising from the sand and hewing apart anything in its path, as if it was the fury of the desert itself, have kept them clear. Yet every now and again, one doesn't heed the warnings, doesn't believe the tales, and ventures into the violent sandstorm. And there, the Charon and its mysterious pilot, lay in wait amongst the sands. FLICKR LINK.

  7. Well, every now and then I like to see the prices on the items that I'm sitting on, I'm sure many of you do too. Last year, and after almost 3 years on the market, Medieval Market Village was EOL'd. We all were expecting this as the set had been out there for a LONG time and were wondering about how it'd perform in the secondary market. As I stated previously, I like to check how are my investments doing. What a pleasant surprise it was to see that this set has been steadily climbing since December. It's MSRP was $99,99 in the US and according to BPs data, it's sitting at $130+. If the growth rate keeps going as it has been doing for the last 6 months, I see it finishing the year at +/- $160 which is a damn fine return on a set that was available for a long time. Also, I can see it going even higher as the Castle line moves forward into the public. I am really happy that I managed to get this at a very nice discounted price of 66

  10. I'm pretty sure "leaf confusion" is Shinobi...not the original shinobi game but one of the sequels for the Genesis... And that's the last one I'm going to answer! I promise!

  13. It was a great shoot em' up from the SNES with a cool soundtrack and usage of 'mode 7' graphics to make it seem 3d'ish. Still have some more to take a stab at fellas, and there is even more after these!

  15. Welcome back. It's been a busy three months since you we're away. With the new forum upgrade and International Price guide, there have been some major changes. What I can tell you is that Brick Classifieds are coming and are being worked on as we speak. There was kind of a major change in our philosophy about the Classifieds and how it interacts with the rest of the site. With the new forum upgrade, the ability to tie in Brickpoints to the Classifieds became a reality. So our while the idea of a very cost effective LEGO marketplace is still in play, the manner in which members can pay for listings also changed. Brickpoints will be used as the site currency and for many members, listings will be FREE in real money terms. So sit tight and give us a couple of weeks here to get it rolling. ;-)

  19. Here are the dates for Target's 2011 Summer Clearance: 50% off happened around July 13, 2011 75% off (now only 70% off) happened around July 17-19, 2011 90% off happened around July 19-21, 2011 from http://www.allthingstarget.com/ Unfortunately I couldn't find anything more recent than that. Also I think that the highest markdown that Target has done since 2012 is 70%, so I wouldn't expect 75% and 90% off.... Extrapolating to this year, I would expect the Target Summer clearance to start right around July 15th. That would make sense in terms of moving stuff out to get ready for back to school in late July/early August.

  20. This is why you....relocate them. High shelves. Unpopular isles. Learn the Walmart clearance dance steps, my friend!

  21. Same here. It is one of the only sets on clearance at this particular Walmart (besides some hero factory crap for like 10% off) and they have about 8 of them for 49 bucks. I bought 2 already, but am hoping it will possibly drop again to around 30 at which time I'll buy the rest. Somehow though, I don't think they will do it, and in the meantime the boxes are probably going to get wrecked from being pushed and moved around the aisle to make room for other crap.

  22. the past few months it seems like ebay has been changing these features around a lot. I remember reading somewhere awhile ago that they were changing the format for some users and not for others, just "testing" different formats. This seems to mesh with the comments above where some ppl are seeing the change and others are not. Bottom line, you can call ebay customer support if you are not seeing this feature and ask them to change it back to the "old" format for your username. I actually did this a few months ago, and they changed it back. Now, they doesn't mean they won't change it again some time in the future though!

  26. Lego has the License for Marvel til 2015, so when the License expires so do the sets including Exclusives, just like last year with Harry Potter License expired in 2012 and so did the 10217 Exclusive, only exception is the Star Wars Exclusives, which Lego can make them as long as they want. Now lego can apply for an extension for the License. But either way I set like this you will easy make $200 or more profit. If you don't think this is a great money maker down the line well don't get any. I just can't think why anybody on this site would even think that this isn't going to be pure gold. I got 6 of them now and i am shooting for about 40 of them, don't let it get by you like the 10212 Shuttle, Black Pearl, Queen Revenge, Potter castle and so many other ones. And sure that sale last week for $120 on Amazon was great, thats how I got my six, but if we wait for sales like that again, well who know's when that will happen, and will you be on the computer at that time, as we all know all sale like that does not last but a few minutes.

  28. All i am saying about buying More haunted Houses is you are right who know's when it will retire, but if you have the money to get a few now and then you should, along with a Tower bridge now and then, The batman Arkham Asylum, and the way people talk on here most people don't have any Death Stars. I think when the Retiring soon goes up on the Death star and haunted House, the prices are going go on fire, massive panic buying will take off. And whoever does not have any or just a few of these are going to miss the boat. Most guys on here missed the Boat on the 10179, but you don't want to screw up not having the Death Star,SSDS,Haunted House, Batman Asylum, Helm's Deep, Vampire Castle, Ninjango 9450, falcon 7965, Vokswagen 10220, I have thousands of dollars invested in these. If you are saving money each month I would buy some of the Lego above. I just can't believe anybody on this site does not think the Haunted House and Batman Ayslum will not be a big big Winner, everybody loves Vampires and Monsters, and just look at the $79.99 TRU & Lego Exclusive older Batman Asylum, $500 and up and the new one is way bigger and better. Along with the other sets, The Ninjango 2507 from last year, check ebay now, the 9450 Epic battle will be big next year. last October,November I was on this site telling everybody to get these sets are you will miss the boat. 2507, Black Pearl, Queens Revenge, Potter Castle, 10217 Alley, And last May 4th the Imperial Shuttle was $207 at Lego, looks like not to many people got them, You can't wait for over to hope prices fall 50% or more. Now if you live pay check to pay check well thats different, but if you can afford to buy something now and then you should do it, And I don't mean spend $500 on $10-$20-$30 sets, the big money to be made is from the sets above, and there are more but you can't buy them all.
