Have you touched on in this thread what buying platform is the best/friendliest?  Right now I only play around on etrade with regular stocks, but wouldnt mind trying cc too.  Just havent been able to find a reputable and trusted inlet.

Depends on how complex you want to go... Go all in, like TabbyBoy, you best invest in a hardware Wallet like Ledger Nano S, or even better, a Ledger Blue. Safest and most robust. Then you need to purchase a cryptocurrency at a broker, and have it transferred to your corresponding Wallet-address on the Ledger. To exchange between currencies, a very popular site is Binance.com.

If you want to dip your toe in the water and just get a feeling for it, you could conveniently open an account at Blockchain.info or Coinbase.com. There you get a Wallet connected to your account (including 2-factor authentication) and both have a smartphone/tablet app to access your Wallet on-the-go. Blockchain.info currently supports Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ethereum (ETH). On Coinbase.com you get the same currencies, and additionally also Litecoin (LTC).

Here is an overview of Wallets with features, supported currencies and user-reviews: https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/#/overview

I was selling ETH at €850 and buying back at €800 yesterday evening, rinse and repeat. I added an extra 1.27 ETH in 8 hours without adding any extra funds. Riding the waves is very risky but, I use the "double-up" method that is banned in some casinos. As long as you can forecast at least 1 drop in 5, you'll do OK provided that you have the bankroll to do it. I'm now going to use that 1.27 ETH to play with XRP this evening, punting 5000 XRP at a time. If you've got the knack of setting good margins without being greedy, it can really pay off.

I bought some Litecoin at $207 per two days ago and .673 ETH for $840 per coin. Now I have to wait until next week to get them. I was a little disappointed I bought the LTC before it dropped to $150 but you can't win em all.

I was lucky that I bought most of my crypto before they went mainstream. I don't think there's much meat left on the bone for the well known cryptos now as the prices aren't as volatile % wise as last year and there's a lot more rumours about banning crypto, closing exchanges, regulation, decentralisation and tax on profits. This has most people spooked and I don;t think we're going to see any stability or consistent upward trend for a while. This and FUD affects the weak in the market. However, there's huge potential in blockchain technology if you pick the right crypto(s) in its earlier days.

Have you though about buying more LTC now to bring down your $ average? Of course, only if you can comfortably afford to lose it.

Good luck!

I really can't afford to buy much more at this point. I have 2 ETH, 2LTC, almost 2 NEO, and a slew of other smaller less expensive Cryptos. I plan to wait until November and re-evaluate where the market is at and whether I should unload everything and bail out or stay in. I do have a Ledger coming so I shave to stay in long enough to use that!

Trying my hand at a pump and dump discord group. Supposedly had great success so far. About 50k members I think. PM me if you want link

And wish me luck lol

Before you do this, you need to be signed up on enough exchanges so that the more unusual cryptos are covered. You need to be quick as there's often an email 10min in advance and then a 2min warning just before the whale pumps it. Just make sure the timing is spot on and don't risk too much the first time. Let me guess, you been chatting with "Boss"? ;-)

Good luck, it's not as easy as you think.

I sure hope you did read this article which specifically explains about these Pump & Dump Discord groups, where you could easily be the naive victim as a member of the outer ring ...

This is a must read if you even consider participating in these P&D groups!

Yes, there's a few articles about this and the timing is critical. Ponzis are illegal in the "real" World, but not in the unregulated cryptoverse. I only ever go in small on these, £100 start or less and use the increment method - £100, £200, £300, £400 so that a maximum of £1000 is punted. I typically hit about 25% of these and make 10% profit on average which is OK for 60secs work, but it's very risky if you're too slow. I'll probably stop doing it soon as some of the groups are now too big and you can get pushed to the outside easily.

I now just set sensible sell/buy limits and milk profits off the small (3-6%) margins. I use 10ETH to play with average about £350 profit per week. One week I may lose £800 and the next week I'll make £1500 You just have to be disciplined and NEVER trade on emotions.

Profit taking? If it´s time to sell Simpsons while the going is good, maybe it´s the same deal for those that bought cheap.

Yep, I've finally got rid of that crap. I can see The Simpsons sets settling as just below RRP once competition takes hold.

I see that Binance are now accepting new registrations (they weren't yesterday) so I just signed up. I just found an extra 0.32 ETH that I forgot I kept in my Blockchain.info wallet and I decided to trade it for 120 IOTA on Binance, which I've heard good things about. I've completed the trade already and it was a piece of cake.

I own some IOTA. Binance is really nice. I like binance.

US government shut down and bitcoin spikes $800  over the hour leading up to the shut down.  especially the last 10 minutes.

the uncertainty may be beneficial to crypto prices.  especially if stock market starts to tank.

buckle-up kiddies :)
