January 28, 20178 yr Went a bit old school for the weekend...Built the b-model from my 8438. Being old, I like the brick built technic stuff. A nice back up build that looks cool. Not as much going on functionally as the main model but that's par for the course.Got it a couple of years back on eBay and is my first time building this model
January 29, 20178 yr Wort becoming an official set (and I mean it in a good way). Consider lego ideas maybe.Love the roller coaster - don't think it will fly with ideas though. As far as I'm aware you are limited to parts that are moulded by TLG
January 29, 20178 yr Couple more 10030 pics. Had my first major issue tonight - missing a 1x3 Left Wedge Plate. Lucky for me, I had hit a 99 Cent Store and bought a lone Gmili Fun Pack that had that part in it. I only bought it for the minifig anyway, so no big loss there.

Brick Coaster has a website with different "coaster" type setups and track for purchase. I believe they are out of Massachusetts and they manufacture their own tracks. I just Bricklink'd my own pieces for the build and modified the setup that I had with the power functions to get a working lift hill.
January 29, 20178 yr Bought from eBay. Was told only 2 pieces were missing but 7 more were too so there are a few loose spots until replacements come in. This set had a few brittle pieces that broke as well. Both of Sebulba's arms snapped very easily, which I was quite annoyed about!Could improper storage lead to becoming brittle? Or are these parts always this fragile
January 30, 20178 yr Rainy day today, so I built book-1 (bags 1 to 4) of X-Wing 10240. Pretty happy so far. Edited January 30, 20178 yr by eliminator
January 30, 20178 yr Popular Post My daughter and I finished up the UCS R2-D2 that we picked up on eBay for $89+ a few bucks for the missing pieces. I have to say, it looks great! It was tough for my daughter to tell the difference between the two blue colors in the instruction book because they look so similar, so I think she ended up with a couple of 1x3 blue pieces switched around, but not really noticeable. After no UCS builds in the past we have done two in January and are hooked! Up next is the UCS Imperial AT-ST 10174 that my son and I are going to build. We picked up used/complete (other than the box) on eBay last week for $130 shipped, which I figured is worth it for the build.
January 31, 20178 yr Finished building Batcave Break-In 70909. The actual batcave build isn't too bad. The boat, vehicle and some of the minifigures are more interesting though. Still the batcave functions well as play set.
January 31, 20178 yr After seeing some of the recent posts I've been itching to build one of my Exclusives I have tucked away.Big Ben is the one I have my eye on at the moment, had to build a little piddlin Spider-man Super Jumper set earlier to stop the cravings.

January 31, 20178 yr Every one that's built makes my MISB ones worth a fraction of a penny more... Do it ! Do it NOW !!!
January 31, 20178 yr Pardon the dusty Batmobile please. The Joker's Lowrider is even larger than I thought. I thought it would look nice next to the Movie Ice Cream Truck but its so much longer. Its even longer than the (Burtonesque) Batmobile 76035. While I agree with most of you that $50 is very overpriced its a great car build. Wonder how it looks next to the Ecto 1? February 1, 20178 yr 10030 update. Page 175 completed. I've been sick so I haven't worked much on it. Moved from the superstructure to the bridge.

After visiting my climbing partners house, who is also an AFOL, and seeing his original UCS x-wing 7191, I decided to build 10240. Loved the build, although the back was a bit weak during the first few stages. Can't say I love stickers much but did get the canopy on straight. Think my biggest trouble is that I can't stop until I finish a build. Was in bed at 3am, back up for work at 7...

Probably faster since it's a mirror image from the day before. 104 out of 225 pages complete. Makes me wonder if Lego would ever consider filling out the interior on their earlier UCS sets like this and the Falcon. PS, thanks for sharing the build progress. Really enjoy seeing these on sets I've never built.

February 1, 20178 yr Hi all, today I picked up my daughter from school after a muddy mountainbike ride. We build Lego all afternoon. She was building the Heartlake Friends Cupcake Cafe while I cut the seals of the 75140 Resistance Troop Transporter. Great quality time! I was amazed by the building process of 75140, what a magnificent set. Well designed and it looks awesome. The set is bigger than I expected and it feels really solid. Despite the stickers I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this build. And Princess Leia is special, great minifig. pc screenshot picture uploader uploading pictures screen capture software

February 2, 20178 yr For some reason I could not upload straight from my phone. But here are some pics. I will finish it off this weekend and load more pics.
