For the next two weeks, my son and I are going to build 4 Star Wars models together. Trying out a camera with 2k and 4k images. Any input is appreciated. Here are the first two we did on this rainy Saturday, will build 75052 and video him playing next week.

After 2 years of waiting, I finally used some of my profits toward a 10179. It's an open box non-special edition set with a very good to excellent conditioned manual. Was able to pay under Brickpicker and Bricklink values. Honestly, I wasn't ready for the 27 pound box that FedEx delivered. I wasn't home but a neighbor signed for it so that meant, your's truly carried this heavy beast 1/4ths of a block. I did a quick inspection and everything looked good enough. The key elements were there. I'm estimating a 3 week build since this will be done only during my spare time (usually when everyone is sleeping). I also decided to use the downloaded PDF version of the instru…

This thread will be like my previous builds (links below). Intro : While my last building post was a poll about which set to build next, I couldn't help myself. I wanted / needed to build the Lego Ideas 21108 Ghostbusters set. While I'm a bigger fan of Back to the Future films, I did watch Ghostbusters in a theater w/ my father and enjoyed . ...I'm also not going to surprise anyone by publicly stating 21108's design is far better looking than 21103's DeLorean. When the Ghostbusters set arrived, I immediately wanted to open it while my 21103 DeLorean sets are collecting dust still sealed. I'll will walk through the building process, take pics, discuss various top…

Before I get started, I'd like to thank Jaisonline for letting me use his review technique and for bringing us some fabulous reviews that I'm sure we all enjoy! In this review, I'll be building the 3828 Air Temple from the Avatar theme! I got this set rather unexpectedly at a yardsale for $10 dollars. It was in a box that also had a few other sets (incomplete and complete.) Thankfully, this set was mostly complete, and was just missing a few other pieces, the box, and the instructions. I've been able to complete the temple and I think that it is definately worth the thirty dollar retail price. There are 42 total steps for the temple. I'll start by building the …

I was excited to discover most of the pieces to 7019 Viking Fortress against the Fafnir Dragon in a bulk purchase. After brick-linking the missing parts, I was able to complete the set. I do not have the instruction manuals or original box, so I used the PDF manual from Brickset. The Viking Fortress was the largest set LEGO produced from the Viking line 2005 and contains 1019 pieces. The set retailed for $70 in the US and 50 pounds in the UK. The fortress is a large structure made to resemble an octagonal wooden fortress - it uses a lot of the "wood" wall palisades similar to Fort Legorado - and comes with 6 minifigures, a large dragon, and a small …

Mom is working today so the kids took me (ha) to buy the new Sandcrawler. This thread will be like my previous 2 building ones (sets 10179 and 10181). We will walk through the building process, take pics, discuss various topics like elements used / how, and finally compare this version to the much beloved and classic 10144 set. Building will begin later today after my son's T-Ball game My other Build / Review Threads. 7780: The Batboat: Hunt for Killer Croc : http://www.brickpick...-croc-batman-1/ 7782 The Batwing: The Joker's Aerial Assault : http://www.brickpick...arison-to-6863/ 7786: The Batcopter: The Chase for Scarecrow : http://www.brickpi…

I was able to pick up a 100% complete, open Palace Cinema 10232 with box and manuals from Ebay. The Palace Cinema is, of course, part of the Creator "Modular" series and is considered Expert since it is labeled for ages 16+. It was released on March 1, 2013 and is the third corner building after the Cafe Corner and the Grand Emporium. The large red baseplate is unique to this set. It contains 2196 pieces, many dark tan and dark red, and retails at $149.99 USD. Some think the design is inspired by Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The set contains 6 minifigures and a black convertible, however, my review does NOT contain the convertible due…

It was more difficult that i thought. I should have payed attention to the 10+ age on the box. But my son enjoyed it. Let me know what you all think.

I just finished this massive project. It took so long. It's my first time capturing a technic build on video. I'm not sure why I went all out crazy, but I'm pleased with the results. I even included an extremely fast build on the Hovercraft at end. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I did building.

I picked up this pollywog at Toys R Us this morning. I haven't done a christmas set yet, thought it would be a good start. Enjoy.

I just wrapped up this video. Way better than the previous sets. I was never a fan of the TNMT as a kid and didn't much care for the Lego sets either until now. This series of sets are a lot more realistic and dark. A really great build. The turtle mini figures are awesome.

I'm really pleased with this build. All the functions work extremely will, especially the claw on the excavator.

I just wrapped up another Hobbit set. My favorite part of this set is that two sections of the castle explode.

I just wrapped up editing together my first Mixels set. I'm really impressed with the whole thing. I feel like builders can spend hours creating there own mixels from these sets. Enjoy the video.

This was my first Friends set. The app has unlimited possibilities. You can design the interior of each building how you like it.

I just finished this build. It's a detailed look at 75053 The Ghost paired with 75048 The Phantom. A solid build with a lot of playability. Lego accidentally placed two wrong pieces in the bag. They look similar in appearance. I had to order them so they are not included in the build. Enjoy.

First of all...I really like black and red. There is just something about that color combination. Second, I had no idea who Jek-14 was. I saw this set on Amazon about 10-12 months ago. I thought the set looked really cool but had no vested interest because I was unaware of the Yoda Chronicles. When I finally got back from overseas this summer, I asked my kids. Boy did they rave about Jek-14 and his exploits. We watched the Yoda Chronicles together and I thought it was a funny series and the Jek-14 was an interesting character... So I bought the set. Just built it tonight. Only took an hour and a half with some "help" from time to time from th…

I just wrapped up another Lego Train Video. It wasn't as exciting as the Cargo Train, due to all three cars basically being the same thing, but it look incredible zipping around the track. The Trains Station is really great. A really fun build. Enjoy the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH-l9tQfsaA
