No a bad deal for Canadians who want a newer SW set as personal build or as a small gift. Personally not a set I crave but $12.86 is affordable for some building fun...has some droids haha. Maybe use the Super Battle Droids as Terminators in a scene with super heroes

Not a big discount but if you plan/want to buy something might as well get $5 off using promo code 5OFF. The best deal I found was Batwing for 20% off CAN retail ($44.95) = $35.96 - $5 off promo = $30.96...add in the tax we're basically paying US price. If you like this set and just buy within CAN market this might be the cheapest price currently. What little margin you can squeeze is important right. And you get Plum pts which add up.

Retail price is $90 up here so this is a good deal. I'm not big on the set myself but my son is so I bought one. If someone else gets it for him for Christmas I'll hold it for resale.

Their mobile app sucks, and the markup is killer.

Sears.ca has some Lego sets %20 off again: http://www.sears.ca/catalog/lego/11050-100003664-400002270#guidedNav Most of these sets have previously been on sale on sears.ca, some were even %30-35 off during the holidays, but there are a few on this list that were not part of the holiday sales like the Millennium Falcon and Attack on Weathertop (which i intend to get a few of). I'm guessing it might also be possible to use some of their coupon codes as well on-top of the sales. Also remember to ship to store, not to home! They do not ship their stuff in boxes, just Sears bags. Sale ends Feb 20th.

  14. My local LEGO store STILL had the MM give away avialable last I checked. No decent sale items there so I'm wondering what set or combo of sets should I target for $75 without going too much over? Otherwise I'm grabbing one of the big exclusives for well over $100...

  15. Started by scottjs,

Use coupon code GETONEFOR25OFF to get 25% off one item from chapters. It works on small sets like the Catcycle chase and if you ship to store you'll avoid that extra cost. I tried it on Battle Over Gotham City (which is already on sale) but the offer did not stack. They have new sets like the Jabba Sail Barge, LotR, Castle etc. and if you have a plum points card for every 5 orders (each at $20 or more) you get 8500 Plum Points which is equivalent to $20 so another $4 off each of the orders you placed. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/kids/toys/birthday/bonus/ Don't forget about cash back offers as well.

  16. Was just there an hour ago looking around generally and they have 8 or so Helms Deep on the shelves. Unfortunately they are at retail price ($180 I think it was) and most are a little scuffed somewhere. But if you absolutely need one....

  18. No sale sticker price on the shelves here but TRU has The Lone Ranger - Silver Mine Shootout (#79110) on sale for $59.98 from $89.99 (in-store & on-line)

Any Canadians used their promo cards (from Dec) lately? Just used mine...of course no Lego discount/deals...just got 2 Shelob's Attacks and 2 new minifigure polybags to make up $60 and get the discount. With the $30 off, the Spiders cost approx $15 each from the $26 retail so it was the 'best deal' I could find haha. Was hoping for some Superheroes sets like Funhouse, Hulk, even Superman vs Lex etc...but no inventory.

20% of certain sets + 15% bonus (tax free event) if you use promo code 941612861. Decent sets to consider at 35% off include: LOTR Weathertop, SW Jabba, Gungan Sub, Battle Packs. I picked up a few...not too common seeing sales 35% off/clearance in CAN so I stocked up. Easy returns if buyers remorse sets in or find cheaper later. http://www.sears.ca/homepage

You now get 70 bucks of store credit with Indigo/Chapters/Coles when you buy the NXT 2.0 ($349.99). Not the best deal, but worth mentioning since NXT 2.0 is likely retiring,, plus you can use the 70 on some of the other clearance priced items at Indigo such as the planet sets or Sith Nightspeeder. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/kids/toys/brands/lego/

Anyone tempted by the 1/2 off Goblin King Battle or 40% off Mining Truck? I'm considering doing it, although the Goblin King always seems to be discounted, well, everywhere. I don't know how many of these I want to stock. That being said, with the second film on the horizon, maybe the first wave will EOL sometime around Christmas or into early 2014. Also, the turkey poly and minifg sets aren't as good as last years - I liked the ghost poly and the vintage minifig sets more.

I can't for the life of me find the thread about whether a set is a good deal or not...so anyway, I started one in the Canada section. Found: Monster Fighters 9463 The Werewolf - $16.24 + 12% tax (reg $24.99) Monster Fighters 9462 The Mummy - $9.74 + 12% tax (reg $14.99) Should I pick these up? I am not interested in building these sets and am looking purely for investing purposes.
