  1. Started by Yahveh,

I have made purchases at a number of Australian based stores and have received win-back offers from 2 of them so far. Mighty Ape I made 2 purchases with at the end of last year and about 6 months after my most recent order I received a coupon via email for $10 off my next purchase. Of note is that Mighty Ape have had a number of exclusives go through their site and even had the 41999 Exclusive Crawler set which sold out within hours obviously. I just received today a coupon from Toys Paradise for 10% of my next purchase after I made 1 order about 4-5 months ago. I'm wondering if there are any other stores out there that have similar offers after waiting a …

With all these sales on, don't forget to ensure you keep your rewards cards handy. I have been cashing in rewards points for Frequent Flyers, Fly Buys and MyerOne for more gift cards to use later. Stack those on top of the 20% off sales and you start picking up R2-D2 and Arkham sets for $150.

I'll keep everything in here so that there won't be too many stuff scattered around the forum 04/10/2013 DJ Architecture, VW van, Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Fire Brigade, Sydney Opera House just arrived <<< I'm waiting for their next sales to get one of these set Toy-R-Us VW just arrived, but all gone. They said more stock will come in 1-2 week time. Big W They're clearing out the shelf of many city sets right now. The shelf was almost empty. Might see something new soon Target Batman Arkham Asylum & R2D2 were there. Probably about 6 each.

  5. They have finally added it officially to their list! You save around AUD 80 and there might only be 1 - 2 sets in each store. If you are keen suggest buying it online. http://www.toysrus.com.au/lego/lego-creator-sydney-opera-house/w1/i5126608_1181094/

  6. Just saw this at my local Myer, apparently it started on 30th Oct and will end on Sunday 3rd November. Buy any 2 toys and get the 2nd toy at 60% discount. (So that would work out to be 30% discount each assumining that you bought 2 similar price toys) 2nd toy of course will have to be equal or cheaper than the other toy. As a point of reference, i saw the TB at AUD$399 so if i get 2 TB it will cost me AUD $399 for one and the other for AUD$159.60. Divide equally each TB cost only $279.30. Happy shopping! :D

Hi I'm just hoping for some advice. I bought 9 Advent calendars from O/S from a supplier who has previously packaged really well. For some reason this time, the 9 boxes were sent seperately in packaging that was insufficient. I've made a claim through PayPal who have said a full refund will be forthcoming but of course I need to send them all back. I don't have an issue with this except it is going to cost me $100 which isn't part of the refund. So now I am wondering whether I send them back and write off my $100, or whether there is much market for pulling the advent calendars apart and selling off the items inside. I just don't know if there is a market for this …

  9. Fellow Brickers, All legos at Target are now 20% off. Both online and in stores. Not sure when it will end BUT...... I hope this paves way from the pre Christmas / Christmas sales which should have more discounts. http://shop.target.com.au/toys/construction-toys

  10. Just wondering whether they have ever had any sales for lego like 20% off? Normally I see only Myer, DJ, and Target. Anybody know or have come across one?

  11. Started by ausleigh,

Was just online at DJs looking for something for the missus, an clicked over to Lego (not all about her! ) and see they appear to have 20% off sale. Probably nothing great, but not sure if the stores are also having it, and if maybe they'll have some gems available. Will be checking my local out this afternoon

Thought I'll start a new thread to discuss buying from overseas. As I get most of my stock, sets locally, the only experience I have buying overseas are for polybags from brick link and they have been all good so far. I know some of the more senior Aussie brickpicker have experience buying overseas. Care to share? Thanks.

Has anyone ever bought lego directly from their official website? I want to ask some few questions about it. For example, the price at checkout says 199 + free shipping. Will there be any tax or other costs once it's delivered? Will it really be $199? Also for the double point, it can be redeemed only at the next purchase right? I'm it is, then many sets are pretty attractive since some are cheaper or not available here.

  14. What is happening with 10234? It's already out of stock Australia wide for Myer. For DJ, there were 10 around my city, but the next day all gone. Is it because the retail think the set won't be attractive so they order less? It just came out not so long ago. Do you think they will order more of them and have it available in the future?

  15. Started by ausleigh,

Was just at a Target store (Australia), and they had 79010 / Goblin King Battle for $83.20 (or thereabouts). Looks to have been marked down to $104, and then the 20% sale they have now applied to that price. Seems like a reasonable deal off RRP, but not sure how well this set is doing and therefore if this is a good deal or not. Thoughts?

Mayer has 20% off all lego online. Includes tower bridge and kingdoms joust if anyone is interested

  19. Started by ausleigh,

As with the last DJ posting, this really only is of value for some of the larger sets that are harder to find no sale down here. It does look to include Town Hall this time, as well as still available for Per Shop modulars. Only available Saturday and Sunday. Online and in store.

  20. For sale at shopforme.com.au, limit of 1 per customer. Free delivery as order is over $150. I believe this price is currently the cheapest you can find in Aus (someone correct me if i'm wrong). Was sold out when i checked yesterday, today it seems to be available again.

  21. Started by ausleigh,

I got an e-mail about a 20% off online sale at DJ for what seemed to be clothing oriented. Had a look at the Lego, and for at least 10218 Pet Shop, the 20% discount was applied. I tried it on the Town Hall (10224), but no discount on that one. No idea about any of other sets, but if there are any ones you want and are harder to get, may be worth sticking them in the cart and seeing what happens.
