  1. Started by skanks,

I ducked into my closest Smyths just to see what was available... I simply cannot believe how busy it was in there. Usually if I go in on a weekday, it's one man and his dog but it was so busy they ran out of baskets and trolleys!! I didn't pick up much - mainly storage heads and minifigure displays for Christmas but I did go for a Mystery Machine as it's nearly always sold out and so I am not convinced it will ever be discounted and I also picked up the only Double Decker Couch I found.

Hey guys just checked Smyths toys and their having a clearout on click and collect only so they might have some sets in your local store. Mainly on Movie sets and Chima, I just picked up 5 Phoenix Temple's £50 each, another 4 Benny's spaceship at £50 (they have been cheaper but still a descent price) and a set I never thought I'd buy but for £30 each I picked up 4 Movie dropships. So check the stock in your local store and worth a punt if there in stock. Oh and be quick it's not on Hotdeals yet!

Mods, Can you please place this under the appropriate topic/tags as I think it's important that fellow members are made aware of retailers who don't give a crap about how they store and ship sets - thanks! Toys R Us As you can see from the picture below, my latest shipment of 4x Mystery Machines & 2x Giraffe were totally trashed. Even my previous orders weren't perfect but, I decided to accept them at the time. There is no way that a loyal customer like myself is going to accept this junk. When I called to complain, I was actually moved from person to person to person and the last numpty I spoke to insisted that I take it all back myself. I am re…

  13. Figured I'd start a thread, see what people are buying today, Lego or none Lego wise. I went the whole packaging route and basically spent £750 across my 3 accounts to maximize the offer, and bought like my entire next years worth of ink, labels, boxes, envelopes, shelving etc. I can rarely find it cheaper elsewhere, so figured what the hell might as well save some money.

  19. Hi, Think this has already been covered in the news section, but Argos in UK has 3 for 2 on all toys (based on reserve-to-collect-in-store basis). Includes Lego, of which they have many of the new August release sets, and they also stock the 7939 Cargo Train, and 10225 R2-D2, both at shop@home prices. This does end Tuesday (tomorrow) though so be quick. I'm out of cash etc till next month, but hope others in UK can benefit. Adam
