So I like toys and therefor have a crap ton of them at work. As you can see, I have some lego stuff, and a lot of dinosaurs. A lot of technic stuff as well. Problem is, some people at work (including my wife) think it is funny to play with my toys, which are for show and only for me to play with. What is the world coming to?

I really tried to watch The Clone Wars since the beginning but it only p!ssed me off even more by reminding me of movies I (TPM) & II (AOTC). I also found the stories lame. Ugh... (note: I'm an original trilogy fan. however, I did enjoy III (ROTS) to an extent (pretty much the final 30 mins) and that Darth Plagueis novel fronm cover to cover.) Anyway, I watched the last 4 episodes of The Clone Wars Season 6 on Netflix. AWESOME! The last 3 episodes was the Yoda storyline while the other was about Jedi master Sifo Dyas. Again, AWESOME. Why? The storylines tied into the movies (especially the Yoda arch). Now I know why Dave Filoni and others really …

Holy cow! A LEGO Robot made of Mindstorms EV3 and powered by a smart phone just set the new world record for solving Rubik's Cube. Anyone here ever solved the Rubik's Cube? http://www.brickingbad.com/news/lego-mindstorms-shatters-rubiks-cube-record/

My free time has been limited but I always wanted to try what jaisonline does with sets, buying them on the cheap, building them, and reselling. Maybe you take a small loss or make a small gain, but its more about paying a low price to build. A personal pleygo, if you will. After seeing the incredible outpouring of support for the donation thread, I got to thinking why couldn't jaisonline's system work but with more people? Instead of people competing for cheap sets buy some as community sets, pass them around, and then sell once everyone has a crack at the build. I am thinking something along the lines of: 1) First, club members must be known, trusted, establ…

http://www.psfk.com/2013/05/lego-toy-rental.html http://www.pleygo.com/ Just curious if anyone used this? The set seems to be getting some traction as even one of my wife's co-workers (an AFOL) uses it for his 4 yr old son) and I've been reading about it lately.

Has Lego come out with anything other than the train/technic/mindstorm series that have had any type of electronic moving parts? Im sort of looking for sets that are remote controlled but are proportionate to the standard Lego size sets. Technic sets look huge and the remote control trains I already know about.

I believe I remember somebody saying how neat it would be if Lego mixed Friends together with Monster Fighters. Well unfortunately this is not Lego but could very well be the next best thing or more like a second best I guess. All I can say is I'm afraid to see how many epileptic seizures these things induce from all those lights. Toys R Us seems to be a seller of these at the moment if you're curious. This was lumped in there so whatever.

Today I opened up an excavator technic set to build, and there were 2 Martian Manhunters in there instead of one! Anyone else ever gotten an extra freebie? It feels great it's like an additional $15 off the set.

I have been watching the site and contributed only a couple of times, so, as someone relatively new, I get kind of lost when reading posts from people and see things such as "YMMV" or "AS." (I know 'AS' is Architecture Studio but no clue still about the other) I can figure it out if I read enough posts, but I thought this forum could be used for people to ask questions about abbreviations and for more active members to share any they may be willing to. I know there isn't a universal system for these abbreviations but maybe some order could be made.

I wanted to get your opinions before I order this part. The black cylinder cost around $30 a piece. I am deciding what to use instead of that piece. Should I go with a different color Cylinder (Red or DKStGrey) or go with a bunch of black 4x4 macaroni pieces. Thanks for looking.

Geez, why can't we all get along. It's Legoland...no place for religious, race (except with cars), political issues etc.etc. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/2014/03/06/legoland_uk_closes_hotel_after_farright_threats_against_private_muslim_family_event.html

A little late with this bit of news but, eh, better late than never. Anyway, an article from Plastics News reported that the Lego company is planning on devising a new sustainable resin to replace its current usage of ABS plastic in its signature bricks by the year 2030. The search for that new resin will not be easy, though. Not only must the selected material be able to meet the same characteristics as the locking building blocks, they must also blend seamlessly with bricks already in children

Sorry if this has brought up before. I am wondering what is the best box for lego. Looking for one that has dividers for smaller pieces. Not just one big compartment. Any advice would be wonderful.

I have to say I just might do it! I have a busy social calender this weekend but I may make the time and drag my GF to see it. I hardly ever go the movie theatres anymore and almost never to an opening night or weekend. I tend to wait a few weeks for the crowds to die down for the movies I really want to see. But I do intend to see this movie on the big screen! *Sorry, maybe wrong forum....
