Hello guys, I registered here a couple days ago and finally decided to start participating in the discussions and such. I just recently discovered LEGO investing, but I have been "collecting" (really small collection) for a while now. I mostly buy and build but I figured out I could do some investing here and there. My first set for investment is the Tower Bridge that I got for $190. I only have that one and have been resisting the temptation to build it since I got it haha. Anyway, hope I can bring something that is of value for you and of course have a good time!

I tend to collect mostly Star Wars and LotR sets and like to display them...though I constantly need to buy more shelves it seems... Hi, My Name is Zahree and I'm from Germany. I love building Lego and as a child i wanted to become a LEGO-Architect^^ I collected a lot of legosets as the years rolled by and now i wonder if some of the things i normally hide from my wife are actually worth some real money. My sets are mostly from the 80ies an 90ies. I have 25 models build up but most of the rest ended in a enormous pile of Bricks. Is it worth the effort to rebuild every Model even if i don't have the boxes and instructions? Hi everybody, my name is Vladimir and I became a Lego enthusiast while my kid grew up and asked for versatile toys to keep his interest active more than the day after opening. Soon we discovered "LEGO Universe" and especially LEGO Mindstorms which is an amazing educational set for all ages. As a result, I'm now teaching young learners to program using LEGO Mindstorms. Besides the technical sets we really love trains especially combined with the Mindstorms that may lead to amazing creations. We also love the big landmarks sets and buildings.

Ive been building legos since I was a toddler but have only now begun seriously collecting them. I have an interest in sets with 1000+ pieces and I think of legos as both an investment opportunity and a great hobby. I LOVE LEGOS!!

My name is Eric and I just stumbled on your site yesterday. Great information and it is exciting to find a hobby like this. I dabbled in this a year or so ago. I bought a big lego lot on craigs list, took months to sort and put back together and was amazed at the prices people paid. After some reaserch I flipped my investment into 8 death stars and have been waiting for them to go out of production. I talked to someone at Lego in 2011 and they said Feb of 2012 is projected end date. Well.... It is ok I am starting to aquire smaller sets just for fun.
