Hello All!!! My name is Kyle, and I've been a LEGO fan since I could remember, but over the years the flame dwindle down and I became busy with other hobbies and interests until last year when my daughter (10 at the time) got interested in LEGO.. Her interest and passion in LEGO got me back in the game/industry/fun, whatever you would like to call it. We started off with mostly friends lego, I think we got every set since the inception of the line, and we moved onto some of the other lines ( CIty, Technic, DC, Star wars, etc.), yes I had some influence on moving to the other sets. HEHEHE.. This Christmas, Santa was very generous with the lego sets, I even g…

When adding in new items to your brickfolio, the fourth question is "condition". Are they asking the condition you first purchased i.e. did you purchase a new or used set or are they asking what condition is it currently in (i.e. did you open it, assemble and play with it)? If it is the latter, then the question seems redundant since in question five ("item specifics"), they ask whether you used it as a display set (light use) or played with it (heavily used)?

Hello, I'm new here, looking for any info on a lego set I have. It is still in the original box and it says Lego building toy 615. I am unable to find out much information about this set, it also has an original sticker price of 14.99. There are 615 pieces, I guess that is why it is called 615?

Just a quick note to say hi. Very much enjoy studying and reading here, lots of good advice. Just starting to purchase a few sets for hobby investing, we'll see how it goes. I can't possibly add anything here as I'm the newbie. I'll just read-read-read to gain some understanding and insight. Speaking of kits I've picked up, I stocked up on a few Pet Shops and Tower Bridges, picked up a couple of Cranes (42009), the Maersk ship, several camper vans, and a few other modulars. I figure I'll by what I like to build, mainly larger kits aimed at older/adults. I noticed that LEGO Shop at Home showed the City Mine set (4204) is showing as "sold out". Based on o…

Hey all. So I would have started collecting Legos years ago, I believe, if I had a boy. Instead, God blessed me with 2 girls. For Christmas this year my youngest daughter asked for the Lego Friends Jungle Rescue Base. I had a BLAST building it with her. She got some money from grandma to buy whatever she wanted, so we headed to the local walmart to buy some more Lego Friends. I notice a Millennium Falcon (retail $139.99) on clearance for $99. I figured it might be worth something in resale so I looked on ebay. Looks like this set has sold anywhere from $160 to $220. Called a friend of mine who knows Legos to verify this is legit. He confirmed it is factory sealed. A…

Hi Everybody, Happy New Year. I just joined brickpicker. I am running a small shop in Hong Kong and I am an authorised retailer of Lego HK. Besides buying from Lego HK, I also would like to buy Lego items such as sets, polybags etc from USA wholesalers at wholesale price. I shall pay by my credit card and the other party needs only to deliver my purchase order to an address in California. I shall then ship the goods to HK by sea. I look forward to receiving your replies and thank you for your support.

I'm a fairly new investor in Lego sets, and newish on this site. A friend of mine has built all the big Star Wars sets, which got me interested in what's going on with modern Lego. And Mrs CRAZ8 has built a bunch of recent sets over the last year or so. We also have a 10 year old Yoda as part of our Yoda collection. My investing is to try to offset the cash outlay of the sets we build. There's lots of help here that I'm grateful for. One thing I just realized I can't find is: Who is here who sells on Amazon / Ebay etc. How do I find someone on this site (who I'm likely to trust a bit more) so I can buy from them online. I don't have access to the beta Cl…

Hello, I am reading this forum for a time now and want to introduce myself. My husband and I are small brickvesters from the Netherlands. We do this for a year-and-half now, and we are a little addicted to it now. We have about 150 sets and 50 polybags and minifigures. Also we have sold about almost 50 sets in less then a year, which we are quite proud of. We have learned a lot through this time, and bought Some sets with no growth potential, but also Some sets with a lot of potential. So that is our story, and I hope to learn a lot here, and also make my contribution to this forum.

Hi All, I'm a new member from Cardiff, Wales. I recently joined brickpicker.com as i'm after some advice. I've collected LEGO for a good 6 years in my childhood (i'm now 17) and aquired a total of about 25 sets. Most of which were LEGO Star Wars with some other bits and bobs. The most valuable model of my collection is the 10189 Taj Mahal, which i gather is now worth alot more than i originally bought it for! What i was wondering was, should i sell-up my LEGO now, or wait? Will it increase in value over time? Is there a peak time to sell? Who/Where should i sell it? As you can probably tell i have no real idea when it comes to selling LEGO, so any advice wo…

Hi, I'm new to this site. I've just been given a present that I was supposed to receive 36 years ago but it was left in a cupboard and forgotten about. It is a Crane Set (New Technical Set) code 855 and it is in absolute mint condition. What's something like this worth?

I was doing searches to get info about sets and kept getting links to this Brickpicker place, so it was definately time to sign up. Kind of backed into the Lego world this summer when we bought 17 sets at a garage sale for $165. No boxes, but pristine and complete with manuals and each nicely in a plastic container. I recognized some themes like the Star Wars R2D2, but didn't have a clue about the others. Ended up that in there was Skyline, Sopwith Camel, Creator Ferris Wheel, and a number or retired early-mid 2000s Star Wars like a clone tank and AT-AT. Actually feel cheap that we haggled on price a bit, the asking wasn't much more but we really didn't have a …

Hello All, I am new to this group and wanted to give a big thank you for all the good information found here. I found this site after a great garage sale season where I was able to pick up a lot of used sets. I wasn't even sure how much Lego's sold for when I bought them. I was just happy to have something to put together!! My first garage sale purchase was a whole box of Legos for $20 (some with instructions and box). I learned my lesson that when they say they are complete, always expect they are missing some bricks!! After building them I was able to sell them all for $150. At this point I was hooked. My next find was a lady who sold me a whole collecti…

Hello all, I've seen a couple of posts from people from Atlanta so I know there's some of us here! I've been a Lego fan since I received set 6054 when I was 5 years old. I've owned quite a bit of sets over the years. They were mostly Forestmen, Exploriens, Ice Planet 2002 (6879 is one of my favorite small sets ever), Castle sets around that time (6081 & 6082), and random others. Once I turned 15 I stopped caring about them, at 18 I moved out of the house, and at age 20 my parents gave (GAVE, not SOLD) away every single one of my sets and parts to one of their friend's kid without me knowing it. It was their house though, and they had purchased those for me,…

Long time lurker and a LEGO life-time lover since my childhood thanks to my father's passion for the (plastic) bricks. This is the very first time I write here after I've started collecting some sets last month. I'm at the very beginning (as a collector) but I'll do my best to grow and become more knowledgeable as the time goes by. Thanks for this website and its forums, it's a great place. Since building LEGO and space exploration are my preferred hobbies, I've recently posted a little humble contribute to the Rosetta mission on ideas.lego. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/86582 Ciao and thanks for your time! Emanuele

Hello everyone, My name is Paul and I am from Oregon. I have been following this great website since early in the summer. There is great insight from all of you, as well as some great humor. I lost my job earlier this year and started selling my own items from around the house to create some extra cash. I am using ebay, of course. I have done this from time to time over the years and have always wanted to start my own business selling online....so I have done just that...just getting started. I have found that Legos, and toys in general, are the route I want to take. I hope I can pick your brains from time to time. I do have a couple of questions to s…

Hi I'm a lifelong Lego fan who has many great memories of playing with Lego during my childhood. My modest collection included the 6274 Caribbean Clipper which I have less fond memories of the mast keep falling off, and the pride of my collection the Lego Model Team Sea Jet (5521) - I was young and easily impressed! Unfortunately I let me whole collection go when I went to University for what now seems to have been a rather paltry sum. Like many others though I have to also credit Lego as a major influence in becoming an Engineer and love the opportunity to use it whenever I can! I recently started thinking about investing in Lego as a 'passion' investme…

Hi I am Stacey from Hong Kong. You know most girls love Christmas so much, because of those ad pictures, the design and color they used are really eyes catching. Because of the Christmas sets, I became a Lego fan. I wish I could have more space to display all Christmas set and 10211, 10224, 10197, 10214 etc, however Hong Kong is a really small city with over 7 million people. Even we don't have space for displaying Lego, we still buy a lot, but never open it. Haha Now i start to invest in Lego and thankful that so much useful information in here. Thank you and nice to meet you all

Hello, I am totally new to the site and have spent a week or so browsing before deciding to post! My husband and I have five year old twin boys who are Lego fanatics. They started with the Lego Architecture series just before they turned four years old and by 4.5 they had completed the Robie House- "reading" the directions and laying every single brick with their own little fingers! So here is why am here- Our sons have desperately wanted the London Tower Bridge for nearly two years now and the Sydney Opera House since it was released. Given their age we have not jumped at the idea! Our boys are learning about how sets retire and increase in price. The…

I had a very LEGO heavy childhood. If I look at old catalogs from the late 80s, I remember having like 90% of those sets (minus DUPLO). I used to play with almost everything, from Fabuland to all LEGOLAND series, Technic and Model Team, you name it. Just recently, I started buying LEGO again. I was tempted to automatize many things in a City scenery with PF and an EV3, Trains, signals, switch points, conveyor belts, maybe vehicles? I also like Technic, the freight plane was a total blast. Would love to get an RC car with controllable transmission. Maybe I'll open one of my 4x4 crawler or pick ups and try a MOC. I'm a casual investor at best, just picking up some…
