New member here, just wanted to say hello. I love the site so far, there is TONS of information here! From reading my limited posts so far, my scenario seems a bit different from most. My goal is to buy sets as cheap as I can, build them with my son and daughter, then re-sell them used for as close as I can get to the original purchase price. I'm fine paying some money to build a big set, I wouldn't be upset at all paying $10 - $15 for a large set. We'll see how it goes! The first set that I plan on 'flipping' is The Simpsons House. I just picked it up for $160 on Craigslist. I wouldn't say it's a bargain price or anything, but it seems like resale on ebay for a us…

Hey guys, I'm 21 years old and from Germany. My Lego fever started approximately 16 years ago but froze in the last years. In february 2014 the volcano erupted and now I have started to reactivate my "little" Lego collection. Then i asked myself: what about new sets?? After buying a LOT of Lego and of course selling some smaller sets, I'm very excited about my collection At the moment I have ~80 different sets, most of them Technic and their flagships. This site is very helpful for me in which sets I will invest! If you want to know something more about me, just let me know. PS: sorry for my not perfectly written english, I'm not a native …

Hi folks, Probably a standard story... Nearly bought of 10179 quite a few years ago, literally hovering over the buy button and stupidly didnt - regretted it ever since and even more when i noticed the current prices. Bought a 7965 for myself for christmas. Loved the build but it wasnt enough, I started bricklinking the 10179 and am now about 95% there. All this seems to have awoken some kind of lego daemon within me that has lay dormant for ~30 years (im 37) Sooooo I decided I would have a bash at Lego investing and here I am. Any wisdom is very much appreciated. Cheers Bryn

Hi Everyone! I live in Florida (Miami), but I am originally from Brazil. I recently found this website after some googling! The content, features, and community are fantastic (extremely addictive). I wanted to start building Legos again but I wanted it to be a self-sustainable hobby... so the investing information is very interesting. I bought two sets to build (Slave I / AT-AT) and a couple others to store and see what happens! (after some buying and forum reading... I already see I made some questionable decisions ) The last time I built a Lego set was probably around 1998. It is pretty amazing to see how the building process evolved and the cool mech…

Hi there! A year ago, I had another account (forgot the username though). I have always found this idea of investing in LEGO sets to be fascinating. I have said to myself for a year now that I would get into LEGO investing, and I never did it. Now I have a nice amount of money, and I am willing to take on this hobby. I am sixteen years old, and I look forward to seeing you all

My name is oconnorj2015 and I just signed up for Brick Picker. I was directed to Brick Picker when looking for the new Lego Creator Blue Power Jet set#31039, and seen that you can look at certain sets, and the whole website looked very informing to me. It was a pleasant surprise since I've never yet heard about this website!. I was so impressed when I was first visiting this website, and you are given 3 complimentary set checks so you can try Brick Picker. I liked it and just setup a new account today about less than 25 minutes ago. I love this place so far, and will return as soon as I can!. Thanks, Jeremy

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on here for a couple of weeks reading, reading, and reading some more. I have been into Lego for a few years, but never really thought about investing in them until recently. My husband fully supports my Lego obsession although I think some of my friends and family think I'm a little crazy. Anyway, I appreciate all the helpful posts and look forward to reading them all.

Hi, I'm from Belgium, Europe. French part. I have just started in November to collect my first passion, lego :-) I started to buy some gifts for my nephew... and after for me :-) Before it was the retro gaming NES, SNES, megadrive, neo geo, etc., during 2 years. But I stop for lego now. So now it is Lego star wars.... yes... one more :-) Simpson's and all nostalgic ideas like Ghostbusters, Back to the future, etc. But when I start something, I want to be well informed. So just a few information about what I read today on the forum: - YES, people from Hong Kong, Malaysia, US, etc have a big stock of UCS, etc... I met Chinese to my provid…

Whats happening lego people? I found this site On Sunday, lost all semblance of reason becuase I read it until 3 am (7am start time at work) every night since and just blew my 1st thousand on legos to invest in. This is the place of my people. I love my job, but I LOVE hunting down diamonds, and turning a profit. Its the rush. Just wanted to thank everyone for contributing to this awesome site. ITs definitley led me to make some purchases, and I hope that I can grow it readily. ...So far, I found 3 sets of series 2 mixles, 3 sets of series 3, 2 t1s, 1 mini, 1 DGB, 1 Blocktober set, 4 Ecto-1s, 4 Exo-suits, 4 treehouses, and a few Star wars mins to play with. …

Hello all, I'm thrilled to be with such like minded people. I have been a lifelong fan of Legos and love building them with my kids. I have just started an investment collection and would appreciate some insight. I currently have Robie House, the Burj Khalifa, the Willis Tower, Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Research Institute, the full size R2d2 and a Sopwith Camel. How am I doing? Many thanks in advance and again, it's great to be here. Parisbrix

Hello everyone, Just thought I'd post and say Hi as since Xmas, I've started buying a few sets as investment but also as a bit of a hobby. 8 sets purchased and not a single one of them opened! Mostly LOTR, Hobbit and Star wars for now but who knows where it'll end up I've also decided to dig out my old box of lego from when I was a kid. I have no idea whats in there altogether so may need some help identifying pieces. Talk to you all soon.

Hi there, I'm a new potential investor from the Tampa, Florida area. I have been enjoying reading this site for the past few days. There is a huge amount of information, it puts any investing website I have ever seen to shame. Kudos for the good work. I won't bother anyone with any questions yet, I'm sure there is more than enough information on this site to answer all I will have. I look forward to lurking on these boards and picking up some of your experienced thoughts. Happy investing.
