Just wanted to say hi and thanks for such an informative site. I've been collecting for years and had been cataloging my collection in excel spreadsheets, but this is way easier and much more interactive. I'm looking forward to snooping around and learning more! Thanks!

Hello everyone! I'm Mark, I'm in my late 20's, I absolutely loved Legos growing up. I recently started drifting back towards them in the recent years, and especially in the last year or so I've gotten the bug again. Being an engineer I love building with my hands, and having experience with injection molding means that I love seeing all the different shaped pieces and how they were designed for the molding process and how the molds were set up. I recently started collecting Lego sets after I discovered all the Winter Village sets. I have gone a bit crazy in the recent month collecting sets and picking up random or less common items that I've come across. In doing all m…

Hi Everyone, Just thought I would say hello, and say how impressed I am with this website. I rediscovered Lego again over the last couple of years - The BTTF Time Machine started it off along with Ecto-1......they reignited the big kid in me. I would describe myself as a reborn collector who will dabble in a bit of flipping to help fund the collecting. I began to build the portfolio last week. My current collecting/selling portfolio now consists of 3 x Tumblers - 2 of which will be for immediate sale to fund another purchase. 2 x Ecto - 1 (1 built) 2 x Easter Bunny (not built) 1 x BTTF Time Machine (seal broken, but packs not open…

Hi there, I just receive Wall-E as a christmas present, Santa bring it to me (my brother). He told me that it is from a special collection, Ideas, and searching around, internet bring me here. I did not know nothing about this world and I find it interesting. I´ll try save like 50€ every 3 months so I can make my little collection, I don't want to get rich, just save some money to spend it in an other lego. I really love lego and I find this a good way to keep in touch with this world. (Sorry for my writing I don't have the best spelling )

Hi Everyone, Brand new to BrickPicker, but couldn't be more excited to get involved. I'm in my late 20's but have had a love for LEGO since I was kid so to be able to combine that with my interest in investing is an exciting proposition. Looking forward to spending a lot more time on here!

Hi everybody, After some casual encounters with Brickpicker I've recently become more interested in the deeper workings of the whole Lego world I must have been around 10 years old when my dad bought me two big piles of second hand Lego, all fitting in the chest he made for me. We spend many hours together trying to turn the big pile of bricks into anything we could imagine. During my teenage years my focus shifted to other interests like video games. And that is where I encountered Lego again with the Star Wars and Marvel Lego games in recent years. Now I'm 27, married and able to buy the sets I dreamed of as a child. Although I want to explore the idea of inve…

Hi Everyone, My name is Cody, and I stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago. What a wealth of information; it's fascinating! I'm intrigued by "Lego Investing", and decided I might try this as a a side hobby. It's also an excuse to buy Lego. I loved Lego as a kid, but sort of put it aside in my adult years. I always browsed the stores, but I just couldn't justify spending the money, and finding a place to display it. This all changed over Christmas when I was building Po's X-Wing with my brother...the detail of the mini-figures, the overall look of the ship, and the fact that it was just plain fun. Some kind of mental dam broke, and I was like, "Why not…

Hi there, Until now I didn't find the time to introduce myself on this forum. I'll try to keep it short, which won't work. I'm a 38 year old bloke from the Netherlands. Like most of us, I loved playing with Legos when I was a kid. It was my favorite toy by far. Here a little timeline: 1999-2007 In 1999 I started collecting Star Wars Lego and other Lego insofar more or less heavily discounted. Till that time I was a boxed-Dinky Toys collector but my interest for Dinky Toys was running low. My plan was to keep all Legos boxed and to sell them at a profit later on. I was in college then and literally none of my college friends would unde…

Hi. Just joined up. And have been loving it so far.(after this I'm gonna read about that new ghostbusters firehouse). I've been a Lego fan for at least 20 years. But done most of my collecting in the past 8. My favorite thing is to buy a Lego collection at a garage sale and try to build as many sets out of it as I can. I usually use peeron to figure it out. Unless it's a tiny set I almost never get all the pieces, but it's really fun for me. But I also " invest". Buying new sets and not opening them.... Well my wife is sick of the Legos. Mostly just the ones in boxes. Has anybody sold a bunch on here. Got any quick tips. is it worth it to wait for next Christm…

Hi all! I found out about this forum on a Lego subreddit. Been lurking reading reading colecting info and trying to locate myself: i'm a fan, an investor, both? I recently returned from the dark age. The vector was the Simpons cmf series 2, available at my local grocery shopping place. After starting collecting those i went to find others collectors in other to trade and buy minifigs. The apparent liquidity of these colections atracted me, i could withdraw money from this with some effort. Why is this important? I came from a background of many years playing Magic the Gathering, an expensive card game where you need to manage the finantial aspect of your card collectio…

Just a quick introduction: I live in Bordeaux (France), I am 41 years old, I have 2 kids (6 and 1). Since my kids is 4,5 and is interested into SW Legos, I have re-discovered the fun and the addiction of the legos... like when I was 6, myself. Since a year and half, all the family is involved in "OUR" Lego collection: I am trying to find the best prices for some of our favorite sets, mainly SW, my wife is building them and my older kid is playing and breaking them! I am more and more interested in the Lego Investment and I have discovered your website via some very interesting articles. I wanted to be part of your community as I have l…

Hi, after a few years of buying sets on sale and selling the a bit more than a year after, I learned of the existence of this website. So here I am! I do this as a minor source of income, as I started when I was 16, but also to pay for the sets I keep. My biggest regret at this point is probably selling my 6866 for 45€ and realizing a few months later that it is worth way more... I promised myself to never make that mistake again, so eventually I sought out a solid source of information on what to buy or sell, when, and where. Once again: here I am Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing/receiving good information!

Hello fellow brick pickers! I'm new to lego investing and have a question. I bought some sets a while back and have seen the value drop leading up to xmas. Is this a common re-occurring trend that happens this time of year?? Thanks in advance for feedback and have a great new year!!

Hello everyone, my name is SteveAlaska. It's great to be a part of an awesome Lego site on the "interwebbings". I've been into Legos off and on for the greater part of my life and I think it's fantastic that the brand continues to grow and improve. I buy mostly to build and occasionally as an investment. I've learned a lot from quite a few of you in the past few days of reading here. Looking forward to the future friendships that develop through correspondence here.

Hello everyone My name is Theis and i just got into this whole LEGO-investment universe and i have some questions I hope some of you can give me the answer and/or guidelines to, Since i'm new and LEGO is a huge deal, does a long-term investment require a whole lot of money for multiple of each Lego-sets, or is it also for those who have 300-400$ for LEGO each month? If you are new to this like I am, which themes/sets are the best ones to grab as soon as possible? Retiring sets? Do you guys recommend me to pick 1-4 LEGO-themes to start with and then eventually expand my collection? Maybe such as: Star Wars, Monster Fighters and Creator? L…
