Hey Guys, So I have been collecting lego men for a few years and looking at buying something special for Christmas? I have $200-$300. I was thinking of a SDCC figure but not sure what will hold its value. Love to get some advise

I am new to the site. I learned about BrickPicker.com after buying The Collectible Lego MiniFigure book. As a child growing up in the 80s, I was a huge fan of the Lego Space sets and fondly remember using the pieces of several sets to make my own creations. I have a 3 year old daughter who is fascinated with all things lego--especially minifigures. Her interest has renewed my own interest in Lego. As an avid photographer, I am especially interested in combing my interest in Lego with photography to produce images. Well here's my introductory post - just found about this site through surfing on eBay. Been on BrickLink for about a year and a half or so, but somehow never knew about this site. Hi, So as all the forum rules say, let's introduce myself first: I am french and live in France (don't know if there is much frenchies around), I went back into lego start of 2015, essantially collecting Star Wars theme. I kept a few boxes sealed planning to build them later, then I saw the value of those boxes rising and decided to sell a few, made a bit of profit with the cantina set in particular, that's where the idea to auto-finance my collection started. He discovered the SW character encyclopedia a few months ago and it's been all downhill since. :-) As of September, I have started to collect/invest and stumbled upon BP after seeking helpful advice/insight into this art. Hi All Just joined the site after finding my lego love affair after 27 years of being away. For many years I kept thinking about buying for fun and maybe a small bit of set storing for later selling and then accidentaly purchased the UCS Tie-figher after falling though the lego store doors coincidentally with my visa card in hand (strange but the same happened again with slave 1 and sandcrawler, just very accident prone), built them and the bug has started. Purchased a couple of the new larger sets and a few medium size sets so far. I'm somewhat new to the collecting and mostly reselling or trading for other sets. I do have a nice collection of Legos MY Brickfolio increased by 28% last month and I've got roughly 80 sets so if you're wanting to trade, I'm the guy! As that's what got me into sports cards! Hi, I've been lurking on here for ages and I thought I'd better get involved. I'm trying to be good at selling Lego, but I mainly seem to be good at stockpiling it and not much else. Wife has explicitly banned me from buying any more lego, so last week I spent a grand on Tesco 3for2's. She took it surprisingly well as it goes! I only aim to make 20%+ as a bank beating savings scheme, so far it's working from the two sets I've sold (42009, 10188) but I need to find a better way to sell than Amazon who charge eye watering fees!
