OK, at the risk of repeating a topic (sorry Alcarin) as I think this has been discussed before. And I suspect the answer will be subjective

So far, I have been selling newer sets and flipping them for cash, which is great. I have sold more popular sets through eBay (Mine Craft, Star Wars and other big sets), but the gauging of the fees sucks! Haven't tried Amazon yet, but I will once I figure the best way to handle the traffic in the future. I'm hoping for less fees, but from researching, it appears it will be the same or more (depending on certain things). Craigslist is obviously the cheapest route, but not enough exposure. You have to deal with some really special people, which can suck! Would love to sell more sets through my site, but need more exposure and with some planning, I ca…

So I had an auction on eBay for simpsons house without minifigs or original box. I sold item , the seller paid and everything was fine. Since the original box was not included in the auction I asked the buyer if they were interested in getting the original box for $12 more because the box was bigger and shipping cost with the original box would be higher. Now the buyer think that I'm ripping on ripping him off because the set didn't have any mini figures or original box and wants to cancel transaction. When i said no returns were the terms.. he said that he will not accept the pavkage when I mail the Lego set out. What do I do now since I have opened the set already.

I was wondering if, outside of the european amazons, there were any retailers outside the UK that UK collectors are able to use? I've seen that toys'r'us + barnes & noble deliver to the UK but the problem with them is that once you add on delivery & duty you end up with prices that are the same as here or even a tad more. So are there any EU retailers (since we don't pay duty within the EU) that post to the UK or anywhere else with a good range/reasonable prices that do so? Anywhere that has the 10xxx sets would be even better as those are the ones that we tend to get taken advantage of in terms of MSRP (eg 10217 was

I just wanted to share an idea with adding pull out drawers with stack on's on them to my current storage shelves. Before I made the shelf unit I could only fit 2 stack on's per shelf now I I can do 4. It cost me $17 for the 2 sets of full extension drawer guides and all the lumber I had in my garage. I took a few hours over a couple days to build. Next time I build them I will make the base a little bit more narrow.

The newest style Stack-On DS-60 60 Drawer Storage Cabinet does not come with slots for dividing the drawers. Sucks since I just ordered a couple of the DS-60's and automatically added the dividers to the order that are useless now.

Hey guys, Today I won an item on eBay for 10 Lego sets from the construction series. Most of the sets have been retired for quite a while, all of them new and sealed. Here are the sets that I won and the price indicated on the set site over here at BP: 7746-1: Single-Drum Roller: $ 23.96 7685-1: Dozer: $ 46.67 Here's where the juicy part starts: 7998-1: Heavy Hauler: $ 72.58 7344-1: Dump Truck: $ 72.94 7632-1: Crawler Crane: $ 76.80 7243-1: Construction Site: $ 115.46 7900-1: Heavy Loader: $ 139.89 7249-1: XXL Mobile Crane: $ 146.72 7633-1: Construction Site: $ 175.34 7905-1: Building Crane: $ 196.22 This all adds to roughly $1061. I got them all…

Just a heads up I will be selling a handful of older UCS sets. They are used but minty with boxes and unused sticker sheets. Will list 7181 and 10026 first. Check them out on eBay under user Deyorew this coming Tuesday. Will probably get around to selling 7191, Yoda, Darth Maul, Y Wing, and a few others... Danny

You may have seen on TV or sometimes when you're surfing the web, ads for sites like QuiBids.com or Beezid.com. If not, then put simply these penny auction sites promote themselves as giving people the ability to bid on a brand new item straight from the manufacturer's warehouse and in the end the winner pays insanely little for said item, like say getting an iPad for $24. When that is very VERY far from the truth. The way how these sites work is every time you click on the bid button for an item, you bid one cent. There is no way to change your bid amount at all, this is set in stone. And for every penny you bid with, they charge 60 cents up to a dollar to your credit c…

I've recently been granted my sales tax certificate for resale so that I can purchase items without paying sales tax. I've found that there are some stores that this is a great savings and/or avoidance of headaches, but not all stores accept it. Here's the list that I currently have of stores that have accepted my tax certificate: Walmart Amazon Best Buy Here's the list that I've tried and they just give me funny looks (they're used to seeing educational/non-profit tax exempt forms, but not resale) Toys R Us Target Barnes & Noble KMart Does anyone else have experience with this that could add to the list or make s…

Subject says it all... I have a box full of 30-ish (still bagged and sealed, mostly different/there are some doubles) mini builds from the LEGO store(s). They range from 3-4 years old to a few months old. Would love some recommendations for the best way to sell as a lot. Thanks bp!

Hello everyone, I am new to lego investing and am curious about some suspicious activity from an online store. I have placed two orders from them and so far nearly all of the sets of have arrived. One item, prince of persia 7573 which was 50% off was out of stock and I received a full refund through google wallet. The other items all arrived but from various retail sites suck as B&****** and ToysRus with gift receipts or higher amounts listed as paid than I did. Everything arrived promptly in great condition but the circumstances are very suspicious to me. What am I not seeing here? All of the orders are placed by someone else, so far 9 items have arrived.

I have heard of buying sets with no minifigs in them but when I got home from Target and opened this set it had a black trash bag, a hardback novel and a bunch of cardboard puzzle pieces in it. The thing is the box was MINT and all four seals were perfect and intact. Is that something particular to this set? I feel pretty stupid as I had no cart and held the box in my hand and didn't even realize it. Well I had the Z 95 headhunter and an arch set all stacked up all taken to customer service for an ipad PM with target online.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I did my due diligence and couldn't find an answer otherwise. Is there a forum on this site where folks can offer sets for trade? I've actually swapped a couple sets through conversations on the site and have found it a great way to access items that I can't find here in my somewhat limited market. Any help would be appreciated.

I found a listing on Craigslist for the Taj Mahal (10189) going for $450 obo in San Diego. If anyone lives around here, this might be a good deal. I might've went for it if I wasn't in the middle of buying a house right now. Maybe some lucky member here is able to get their hands on this set. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/tag/3580654668.html

Hey all, I'm sure nearly all of you have had to deal with taping up your shipping boxes when mailing sets off to customers. I've reached a stage where I'm tired of wrestling with those disposable red dispensers from Staples and would like to purchase something more professional. I'm looking for recommendations, advice, pros, cons, loves, hates. Thank you!

If I refund a buyer money, is that factored into my total sent to the IRS at the end of the year? Or do I have to write it off as a loss? Are partial refunds treated differently?

I have started watching ebay listings a little closer lately and I have noticed that there are some listings that are truly awful. I saw an incomplete Imperial Shuttle, only a month ago, go for just over $100. The picture was poor and the description was near non-existent. Just wondering what everyone thinks of this, I will try to find the link of the Imperial Shuttle.

Just got a letter from Tesco regarding their double boost they do with club card vouchers. As we know Tesco have been hit hard with all the other lower priced supermarkets, so I imagine thats the reason for this. Come this May and June 2016 - It will be the last time Tesco double the value of your vouchers. So £5 becomes £10 etc. Useful of course if you buy LEGO from there. So get those purchases in between the 16th May and 26th June

I just wanted to say thanks to the people on Brickpicker who have been offering great deals on sets for other Brickpicker members. I think these transactions will only strengthen Brickpicker in the future. Thanks again.

I remember reading on the forum some time ago a comment that "you are not an investor until you actually sell some of your lego. Until then you are simply a collector". I have been "collecting" lego now for about 12 months. Like a lot of people I am very much focused on the larger more exclusive sets as long term investments, however, a long the way I have picked up a number of freebies with purchases, such as the elf workshop and some polybags. I also purchased some of the original minecrafts sets with a few to trying to flip some around Christmas. Anyway I decided to list some of the freebies and minecraft in the lead up to Christmas, on Ebay. It has been…
