Mine was crushed in shipping. They put it diagonally in a huge box with no padding at all except in the bottom under the set. Top of the box was smashed in really bad (caved in) and the set itself had some wear and all the seals were broken from the air being pushed out of the set. I am going to build it anyway, so I am not too worried about it. Anyone else have problems? I was going to see if anyone went to customer service about it.

I had an auction last week on ebay. I shipped it with USPS priority with signature confirmation last Wed. Today is Thursday, the package is in status "sorting complete" and was supposed to be delivered on Sept 30. It did not show any attempt delivery. If the USPS lost my package, what do I do? I did not buy any insurance but it came with a $50 insurance. The auction was for about $200. Do I need to refund the buyer if USPS lost my package? I contacted USPS but I have not heard back from them yet. in the future, should I always ship it with insurance and signature confirmation when over a certain amount? Thanks.

Is it best to buy bulk mailers and put two stamps on each? Any tips are appreciated.

Hi folks, I need some help. Basically I sold some stuff over ebay and now couple of the buyers come back to me and tell me that the shipping cost shows up $9 something in the product detail page, but after they won the bid and check out, the shipping cost from the final checkout shows $10 something. I just checked other recent transactions, it seems like other buyers may have this issue also. I selected Automatic Calculate and FedEx Economy option when create listing. Does anyone know why the shipping cost in product detail page is different than the checkout page? Is it something configurable in listing page? I tried to contact ebay but I only see the C…

What shipping service do you use to ship internationally? What service offers the best rates along with tracking/insurance options? Thanks in advance for the replies, my wife and I are long term sellers on Ebay and have shipped things via the USPS but recently have had problems with buyers claiming items haven't arrived or they let the stuff sit in customs and we get it back after 3-6 months. Of course Ebay requires us to refund the buyer in all cases since they claim they didn't get their item. Just wondering how others deal with this.

So I guess everybody know's if you make over $20,000 and have over 200 Paypal Transactions Paypal sends you a w2 Statement to you and the IRS. When this started 2 years ago I called Paypal and asked them about Chargebacks, Chargebacks are when you buy something with your Paypal credit card and then you return it to say Target Etc and you get your money back, well thats a Chargeback and that count's toward you receiving money, Paypal told me it didn't count, but guess what it does count. I am shipping an architecture set. Although it is quite heavy, the box is about 12 by 15 inches. I know that UPS seems to be cheaper on an oversize box , but how about where the box isn't huge, just heavy. any ideas which shipper is cheaper? Who appears to be cheaper on heavy items. I have a fellow investor that has had a bit of a hard time and needs to unload his collection. Is CL the best place. Ebay is no go because he needs the money soon. i am buying a bit from him today. Do you guys ever know you have something, but when you look for it you can't find it? I know pretty much everyone has experienced this. I'm starting to sift through inventory for listing stuff this holiday season. I've went through what I thought was my entire inventory 3 times and I can't find a Ninjago Destiny's Bounty that I know I have somewhere. I've searched for it for over 2 hours and my searching has pretty much negated any profit that I'll ever see even if I do find it. I have a bad habit of putting stuff in boxes and totes and I have to open all of them when searching. Oh well, it will be a nice surprise maybe someday in the future.

I made a point to be at my local Kmart this morning when they opened with the hopes that their 50% off clearance sale would be starting since their last promo ended yesterday. No dice. What they have going on now is 10% off the clearance price and then then you get 30% back in points. Not terrible, but not as juicy as the 50% off sales we all know and love. This new promo runs through 8/24, so I will be back early next Sunday morning to see if they finally go to 50%. I recently bought a lot that included almost all of the parts for a set still sealed in the original bags. I would like to find a source for the other bags of parts so that I can package them together as a "new" set, but am not sure how to find someone selling in this manner. I am sure that people part the set out for sale on BrickLink, but I am not sure how to interrupt them in the process of parting out the set in order to get the full bags. Anyone have thoughts on methods to do this?

I was going to see if anyone else had this problem and if it bothers them: New bigger sets normally come with a piece of cardboard and the instruction booklet inside a package - book doesn't get bent up. However, in smaller sets, they just toss the booklet and sticker sheet right down in there. I have had a lot of problems witht hem being bent so bad they wont stay open, the stickers coming off the sheet, pages torn, etc. Does this bother anyone else? Lego needs to find a way to keep this from happening.

After reading the comments on the purchase thread about the steals at Shopko, and finding myself in a town tonight with a store, I went to check it out. yay or nay? They are "sponsored" links on Ebay for most lego searches. I had a $1200 order ready to click---they are verified paypal---but that doesn't mean much I found out. The phone number is no good...so I am going to pass. I'm going to be selling off a few of my sets. I'm looking for advice on shipping. Particularly, what is the most cost effective way to ship without damaging the product. Also how much to charge I looked at priority mail flat rate boxes but they seem sort of expensive. I see people charging 6 bucks for items that would fit in a $12 priority flat rate box. Also, does anyone have more specific advice for different sizes of sets? My thinking is that I need to have 5 different size boxes and shipping rates calculated based approximately on pcs - i.e. the 100 pc, 200, 400, 600, and 800 pc sets. I was at TRU yesterday picking up a few polybags. I am always in there checking stuff on my rounds so they know me quite well. I was informed that word had come from corporate stating that they now have a purchase limit of 10 of any one item. She (the manager) advised me it had something to do with resellers. Not there is ever a real opportunity to buy 10 of ANYTHING there, but I am wondering if this ultimately came directly from LEGO.

So I've put together a "Wanted List" on BrickLink (for pieces from the Taj Mahal), and was able to find a list of sellers who had the highest amount of "unique lots" on my list. Once I click on a store, there are two options for "mass adding" items into your cart: "Auto-Fill Cart Max" and "Auto-Fill Cart Min". I'm wondering what is considered acceptable from the standpoint of the used condition of bricks in a built set. I am currently piecing together some sets from a massive CL haul. I am discarding any broken, discolored, or gouged/dented/deeply scratched pieces, but almost all have numerous hairline scratches on them that can be seen when looking at them at a certain angle with decent lighting. For the modulars I'm building, I'm thinking about just pick-a-bricking a ton of 2x2 and 1x2 tiles, since these seem to be the most noticeable (on the sidewalk areas, mostly).
