The newest style Stack-On DS-60 60 Drawer Storage Cabinet does not come with slots for dividing the drawers. Sucks since I just ordered a couple of the DS-60's and automatically added the dividers to the order that are useless now.

I put this together a couple of days ago in Excel. Basically, it is a 3 in 1 fee calculator including the three major LEGO selling sites in the US: 1- eBay 2- Our own Brick Classifieds 3- Bricklink They are all in the same worksheet making it easier for comparison and for you to play around with different prices and so on. On the eBay one, you can select some options from the dropdown lists (store, Top rated and such), while the other 2 are much simpler since there are no tiers in their fee structure. Please note that this is to be used only on LEGO listings. This is especially important for eBay since different categories have different Final Value Fees and I wanted to m…

We all have a strategy when it comes it selling NIB sets vs. selling the minifigs and "vehicles" separately. We probably do a mix of both. - When do you feel it is a good time to move a slow selling NIB set and start selling the minifigs and other items within that set separately? - Does your strategy incorporate minimum starting retail price points on sets you decide to 'part out'? - Do you only do this on high priced sets (and do you even mess with lower priced sets)? - Does your strategy take into account maintaining your TRS status regarding # of sales in a 12-month period? - What about parting out sets early in their life and stocking up on NIB sets 'befo…

Hey folks! I'm relatively new here and have, up to this point, just been selling complete new and used sets. It's been going okay, but I think I'm ready to get serious about parting out some of my sets. I hope I'm posting this in the right spot, but I figured I'd start a thread which is a bit of a Q&A for Newbie Parter-Outers like myself. I've read quite a few threads (on Brickpicker) and articles, but I have a few extra questions that weren't addressed. A few questions I have to begin with: 1) New vs Used (Bricklink) - I'm seeing where it's around a 20-30% difference in Part-out value when you specify whether your pieces are new or used. Now, obviously "New" wou…

Went to the Lego Store today. Here's a few pics. Most everything in stock, including Death Star, Ewok Village, Slave 1, and Tower Bridge. They had all JW sets except Raptor Escape and Indom. Rex. They also didn't have TOO and the Lego guy said they won't see that one again. No series 14 minifigs; he said those disappear in 2 days or less. Picked up 5 Trick or Treats. Seal on TRex Tracker was 30R5, on Raptor Rampage was 34R5.

In the "What Lego set did you buy today?" thread, I mentioned a lot I got over on Shop Goodwill, and how my bulk lot was confused with another bulk lot (that ended at the same time). My lot was for 35 lbs for $225 and the other lot was 31 lbs for $111. I suspect that my lot has a Market Street modular in it. When I received the lot yesterday, I went through it and discovered I got the 31 lbs lot. I contacted Goodwill today, and they mentioned that the other buy hadn't received the lot yet. This afternoon, Goodwill contacted me and told me first, that I did receive the correct lot, and they just misweighed it - they'd be willing to refund me a small amount for the mista…

I recently received two packages of retired sets via UPS from two separate stores, and the shipping boxes and sets within suffered from significant damage. So I started a claims process and was wondering how long the whole process is going to take. And if I'd receive the items back if the claims were rejected since I read that UPS has a stringent claims policy.

Anyone had this? I am selling my 9470 Shelob Attacks sets. Sold 3 so far, on the third one buyer says it has 4 parts missing and cannot be built. He's asked for a refund. I've asked which 4 pieces are missing after sending him the inventory list from Brickset.

Delete if not appropriate. Our friends 13 year old son is amazed by my lego stash and is a little lego crazy. He is also very bright and brought over a pad and pen and took notes on how to become a lego investor (to fuel his collection). His first ebay auction ever is live, and he set up everything (paypal, ebay. Etc) on his own, and did it 100% by himself. http://m.ebay.com/itm/141750896880?_mwBanner=1 Here is his listing, I'd buy it, but he would know it's me. Would be happy to return the favor to someone similar or help out. Thanks

Hi, I just sold a star wars set worth a few hundred dollars (I would prefer not to state which set or the price). However the buyer has zero feedback and a very unusual username, like random characters. Would you be concerned about shipping the item to them? Are there any precautions that you would take? I'm thinking of the shipping insurance, or maybe requiring a signature? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Robert

Hi guys I'm a big fan of Lego Pirates. I own some of the original classic pirates sets and the newer models. I managed to pick up some of the potc sets like the QAR and Whitecap bay but sadly missed out on the Black Pearl. I'm really eager to pick this set up but its so expensive in the after market right now. Is anyone on here looking to sell there's or know some one or somewhere that isn't selling it for a ludicrous price. Thanks. Admins if this is the wrong place to post this please take it down, thanks again

Hello fellow Legophiles. I have found one bad thing about clearance sales on Legos--those stickers they put on the boxes with the clearance price. I got a Diagonal Alley and the tag was over Harry's face. He now looks like one of the dementors got a hold of him. On a subsequent one I had good luck with Goo-Gone but it made me nervous using it. Anybody have any other ideas to get these pesky boogers off?

Hi I just received the new lego 42042 technic crawler from Amazon UK today (not market place), and the box came with no packaging. Ie it was just a lego box with the address label and various other bar codes stuck to the lego box. Obviously the box is damaged, with scrapes and damaged corners - bit of a mess really. Has anyone else had a problem with Amazon not using any delivery packaging for Lego, clearly this is a no-go - at least it is just for myself, not a gift or for investment. I have complained of course, and am waiting for an answer.

Just wondering if there's anyone around Fort Wayne,(Indiana)who I can purchase some shipping boxes off of. I'm not the power seller that would need 50 of one type, but 3-4 of a few types would really help me out.

I see tons of postings on here of people driving around to Walmarts, Targets, Kmarts, Fry's, etc etc to save 10% or 20% off advertised price which is sometimes inflated. Why do people do this? You can easily get better deals online from the comforts of your home and you can buy massive quantities versus the limited supply on the shelves at the stores. Am I missing something? Also, any serious reseller with a fair amount of cash, why not just reachout to the fulfillment centers at Amazon and negotiate a better price if you buy 100x a month, or whatever it may be. I did this out of Avondale, AZ on the 60051, I purchased 100 on June 11th, it took several phone calls from Ken…

Not sure if this is a topic that already exists somewhere else or if it belongs here (I did a search already), but the users here whom have stores, can you tell us if you take payments using a credit card reader? If so, which service have you found works best? Pay Pal, Square, your bank or some other? Just curious, since I plan on selling from home or when I'm on the go at a tradeshow or something... Thanks!

Hey all, this may seem like a dumb question but I can't seem to verify the answer myself. I've got some old 1990s sets from childhood aim looking to flip to make some capital for new stuff. Some are old poly bags and small sets showing very low resale values ($10-12 usd). What I can't see on the Completed Listings link (through BPs price guide) is shipping costs. I'm unclear on whether the sold prices are including what the buyer paid in shipping, or if that's always extra and not reported? If a set goes for $10 total and shipping costs $7, it's hardly worth the time to even list em. If shipping is always extra however, that's $10 profit (seeing as a kid my buy in was $0)…

Hey all. I am looking to buy some elements, mainly technic, for some mocs I am planning on creating. I am looking for power functions, pneumatic, wheels, tires, actuators, suspension, etc. Who are some of your go-to sellers for lego elements at a fair price and on what websites are they located?

Hi all, I recently bought a bunch of used Technic sets for a good price with the intention of flipping them. I've taken them apart to clean where necessary and to make 100% sure all parts are present. Now I was wondering whether it's better to list them as assembled or not. Personally I would rather build a set myself if I buy one but I see a lot of assembled sets being sold. I guess the advantage of selling an assembled set is that the pictures look better than sorted bags but it would take extra time to rebuild them of course. What are your experiences regarding this? Do assembled sets sell faster or for more money because of the convenience factor? Or isn't it much of …

So it finally happened, I sent the wrong item to one of my eBay buyers. I'm going to send the correct item to them of course, but would you ask for them to send the item back to you? And generally you would pay for shipping back? Or would you just send them a refund, minus shipping costs? It was a small item, just a minifigure (thank goodness) but was just wondering what people usually do.
