Hi all.. I bought a used Market Street a few weeks back off eBay. Seller described as 'used once, bought as original, great condition, no substitutions' etc.. Price was good, but catch was 'missing box, manual and minifigs/fruit'. No biggie there... Now I've come across something while organizing pieces. Some of the pieces are not consistent. Here's an example (and actually the only example I noticed thus far..) For light blue 1x8 brick (3008), there seems to be a mixture of at least two types: Solid bottom tubes, 3 cross support at the position of bottom tubes, and Solid bottom tubes, 5 cross supports at the position of bottom tubes. I know this is getting tech…

Hi. Anyone have a source for collectible minifig inserts and or foil bags? Any series. If you've been hoarding them for some reason, I'll pay for them. Not much mind you. But happy to pay a reasonable price.

  4. I'm new to LEGO and have to admit to being overwhelmed at the number of Star Wars sets now 20% off this week (and, by overwhelmed, I mean both me and my wallet). I've already bought a few of the smaller sets, but I don't have the history to know whether now is really the time to pick up some of the premium sets or if I should be waiting for bigger deals, such as the 25% or even 30% off deals that I see being posted in some of the non-Star Wars areas. I'd appreciate the perspective of members who've been around for a few years!

I purchased 3825 (Krusty Krab) off a local CL seller. It has the older style box with no seals, but rather "punch holes"???? Anyways, on one of the box seams, I noticed a little glue residue which appears a little out of place. The box weight is 488 grams, so that checks out. I don't want to open the box, as it's in real nice condition, but may be forced to do so unless I can get some verification that a little bit of sloppy box glue may be normal. As you can see, the glue is at the right edge of the "punch hole"

I am curious if there is a specific date that sets retire? I was looking at the Ferrari F40 (10248-1) on Lego.com, but it was showing on backorder. Now it does not show up at all. This brought me to 2 questions- 1.Has the ferrari F40 officially retired? 2.Is there a set date for retiring sets to go away (ie: Jan 1)? I searched this set and didnt see any threads, which I don't believe, but I am also a Noob, so please be patient with me.

  7. I have quite a few of the old catalog pamphlet inserts that you would get with a set you purchased. They are all in very good condition. Just curious if these have any value to any collectors. These are the bigger ones, there are several of each, plus lots of smaller ones.

Not sure where to post this. Wondering if anyone has info on 2021 GWP for January 1st and if there is any gift exclusive to in store only. Trying to decide if there is anything worth planning to get right away.

I've been holding onto my Imperial Flagship 10210 I knew it would increase in value due to its early and unexpected discontinuation. I said Ill keep it for a few years see if it gets to $1000 idk if it well but it looks likely. Is it worth selling and getting a used one because I seriously do want the set I think it looks brilliant. Im going to keep it sealed till at least christmas of this year. But it just doesn't fell right leaving it alone. Box is in good condition as shown in the photo above

Hey all- My house has pretty deep closet shelves. To this point I have been able to stack three to four sets one in front of the other (so essentially you only see the front set). This has worked out but has the disadvantages of not utilizes full space potential because storing horizontally take up about 20" per set, and also I can only see the front set. i would like to turn the sets sideways, increasing storage space dramatically, allowing me to see all of my sets, and only taking up a few inches of horizontal space per set. The problem is that by doing this I will overhang the shelf. If I stack the set vertically, the overhang is only 2-3 in…

I recently have inherited over 1000 new sets of legos from the 1990's to 2016. They were from an estate of a gentlemen that bought them and hoarded them. I have been looking up the value of them on this site. As someone who is new to lego's, other than buying them for my son's. What is the best way to sell them? There are lots of Star Wars of sets, Holiday Trains, Green Grocers, Corner Cafes, just an overwhelming variety. Any information would be so helpful.

Hope this is the right place for this kind of question. If not, maybe someone can point me to the right forum. I've never tried a STEM-type build but realized an upcoming DIY project I'm planning would be amazing done in brick. Happy to provide more info if needed but, for brevity, my end goal is a motor and gear ratio setup that can do 6 Nm and between 120 - 300 rpm. (Anywhere near that range would be acceptable.) I never would have thought of going LEGO for this project but recently saw a video that used LEGO to twist a steel axle. I had no idea it could generate that kind of torque. Thanks for any help!

I didn't think this would be so difficult when I had an idea of how I wanted to display my minifigs. I want to display some standing on a studded floor and some attached to a back wall as they look better displayed with their backs to a wall. (It's the Muppets minifigs) I've looked at all kinds of display boxes and none really do the trick. I'm on the verge of just attaching 2 bases to a square rod but I'd like to see it as a wall and a floor. I even looked for hinges but can't seem to find anything that will allow studs on wall and floor. --this way I can fold the grid flat if I need to move things. I have a simple idea in my head but I can't execute it. I would reall…

Hello. I'm new here and seeking some advice. My son is wanting to sell some of his Legos. I am having a yard sale this coming weekend and am trying to decide whether or not to add them in the sale. He has various product lines--space police, alien conquest, Star Wars etc. They are in tubs but I'm not sure if all the tubs are sorted by product line and all the pieces are there. Some manuals are available. These tubs were used just to keep different lines separated. Sizes of the tubs vary from shoe box size and 25qt. Should I cut my losses and sell them as is at a yard sale? If so, what would be a good price? Or clean/sort and potentially rebuild them or sell…

  16. Hi all, I hope I have posted this in the right place. I'm planning on building A Game of Thrones MOC, but having never designed a MOC before I am looking for tips. Is there any software available to help plan out a MOC?

I'm fairly new to collecting lego but have collected other items for some time. What I've found interesting is that thru production there are always variations, intentional and unintentional. We see many variations of a figure from set to set, but are there any figs that have changed their design elements in the same set? A recent example of an unintentional variation (error) is the Flux capacitor emblem spelling in the DeLorean. The stickers for the monster fighter sets were intentional variations. Anything else come to mind?

I bought this today assuming had long been opened. Then looking closer I notice the tape –very yellowed and poorly aged– hasn't been cut. This does not look like something that would have been at retail but since I don't know how these were originally packaged and sold in 1977, I figured I'd ask you experts before I open it up. On the unlikely chance this is actually legitimately sealed. Thanks for the help. I've been a long-time LEGO fan and a casual collector. It's always nice to learn more about my one of my favorite companies.

Hey folks, A friend of mine is willing to sell his loose LEGO in a superlot and asked me an evaluation I guess a lot of pieces belong to City but I am not quite sure what the value could be and also if there are rare/expensive pieces in there. He said the pieces are in overall good shape and whites are not yellowed. Which could be a reasonable price for the lot? Thanks a lot in advance for the help.

Today I saw some Limited Edition WWT sets for sale, these are official Lego but lack set numbers as they seem to only be on sale wherever the WWT in the UK is currently hosting a Lego animal trail. I didn't purchase any as the cost/brick seemed a bit on the high side, but looking at eBay now there's been a few that seem to have sold for roughly double what they'd cost to pick up (as a complete set of six). So, am I an idiot for not getting some or is awareness so low that nobody would have heard of them so demand would be weak? Here's a link to a completed listing so you can see what I'm talking about: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-WWT-Wet-Lands-Animals-Limited-…

I just picked this up and am facing a bit of a dilemma. Do I open it or leave it sealed?? Any idea of value open vs sealed? I believe they are the 1999 Shell promo vehicle sets (6 small vehicles in the set). Guy said there are 6 complete sets in it. He also gave me a full set that he took out of a different box. Not sure if I am going to sell them or not but can't find anything online similar to get a rough value. Any info is much appreciated.

Does anyone have experience in gluing Lego pieces together? What is the best method? I know it is taboo to glue pieces but I have the need for a project. Thanks for your help.

I'm rather new in the Lego world, but I read that Lego is a possible good investment. I have a couple of unsealed boxes that may be interesting to sell in the near future. I have only one problem, I have no idea where to sell those boxes. Are there specialised sites to sell your Lego boxes? Greatings, Günther

Back around July of 2015, my friend's daughter (8 years old) was over, and mentioned that she liked LEGO. I was feeling slightly generous, so I gave her a few polybag sets. I saw her again the other day, and she told me that she still has them and that she has built the "Dr. Who one" many, many times. I know I did not give her an actual Dr. Who, but I cannot figure out what she is talking about. I'm pretty sure it was some sort of promo, monthly mini build or general polybag. Any ideas?
