Gluing Lego Pieces together

When my son was little, I used to glue all his sets that he played with.  They are just too fragile.  This was of course before I got serious about Lego.  But I bought superglue and put a VERY SMALL dot of glue on the raised Lego part.  Then you attach.  The pieces will not come undone unless you want them to!

Does anyone have experience in gluing Lego pieces together? What is the best method? I know it is taboo to glue pieces but I have the need for a project. Thanks for your help.

I would use clear RTV Silicon II.  It will hold the pieces quite well, but you will be able to peel it off in the future.

Nooooo......not without the piece of resistance! Okok I know what you stated above.....resist more or just use a small drop of super glue but it will never be the same ever.... I mean there will be a but of scaring on the precious pieces.
