Content of numbered sachets? At the back of building manuals there are content pages of the bricks used in the build. Is there such a place in the Lego site that details the contents of the various numbers sachets with sets? Also I notice that some parts are accompanied by a number in a bubble. Can someone tell me the reason please? I'm new, so please excuse such a basic question. Ross

I was in Costco yesterday and they had 1 Marvel Advent calendar, 1 lol. I was shocked they didn't have any other themes, let alone just 1 single box on the shelf this early. Did I miss out and they blew through all their inventory? Last year I got several HP and star wars on clearance they had so many...

  3. Hello there, I am new to the world of LEGO investing and have been doing some research on various strategies to build a profitable portfolio. I have noticed that a lot of experienced collectors and investors on this forum seem to have a deep understanding of the market, especially when it comes to retired sets. I am interested in starting my investment journey by focusing primarily on retired LEGO sets. I believe these sets tend to appreciate faster and more consistently compared to currently available ones; but I would love to hear your thoughts on this. What would you recommend as a reasonable budget to start with if I am focusing solely on retired sets? …

Hey everyone, Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, but I was curious if anyone knew the top of the line (industry standard so to speak) of programs used for MOC's. I know bricklink themselves has a program built in their website, and I have heard of Lego Digital Designer, LDraw and Mecabricks. I also believe I have heard AutoCAD used. Just wanted to get some solid information on which one is the most popular out there right now. My main goal is obviously to create detailed instructions for my MOC. I work off of a MAC too if that has any significance to what programs I can or cannot use.

  5. I'm pretty new at this and I'm trying to understand, why have certain current sets decreased in value over the past year? And is this indicative of their future, post-retirement performance? I know they're not going to increase while they're still available, but some of them seem to have dropped quite a bit. E.g. http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=75094-1 http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=75102-1

Picture below. I'm pretty certain that I have Dark Bluish Gray on the bottom and Dark Gray above those, but the two in the middle that are off-centered, what are these? They seem lighter than the Dark Gray around them unless I have my colors wrong?? These are my 1st Dark Gray and later on I'm sure I'll have a question about LIght Gray. Thanks for the help.

Is there a place where I can download set information? Set number, Year, Name, RRP, I would love to get the amazon ASIN, URLs, etc too, but that's a pipe dream I think.

  9. Hi all, I picked up a 10143 Death Star II open box but with the 4 inner boxes sealed, inside the open box was the following: 4 Inner Boxes, Instruction Book A cardboard divider that looks like it is supposed to hold the instruction book. I have received conficting information as to where the sticker sheet is supposed to be. Some have said it is inside the outer box but outside the inner boxes. Others have said it is inside the inner boxes. Also does anyone know where good info on a bag count for this set would be? Information is rather lacking on a set of this age. Thanks!

So I'm new here and I don't know if this was asked already or not. I know the lego 16 Minifigure display cases are discontinued and all but does anyone know where to get them without paying $50+ for one? Thanks in advance.

  14. Hey guys, I've gotten in to designing and building MOC's only recently and have been loving the speed champions series so I wanted to make something in the same sort of style. However for the car I am currently designing to work I need to use piece 50745 (the lego city type of wheel arches) for some colouring detail. Now in LDD (Lego Digital Designer) they allow me to use the speed champions style of wheels (part: 18976 with rubber part: 18977) underneath these, however I can see a little bit of clipping. This might just be due to it being low poly models (low detail). Now I was wondering if someone could test in real life wether or not these wheels would fit or…

  15. I'm rebuilding sets out of bulk lots I purchased this year use bricklink's inventory. I typically include the extra pieces in case I ever resell as I would consider that complete. But is it worth it? Should I just ditch including the extra pieces?

  17. Does anyone know what time in the US does TLG release new sets on release dates? For example, the sets due to release on May 1st, will those be available at 12:01am Eastern Time in the US? Or is it random?

  18. Was looking at the T1 on SAH UK and saw that under the price was a drop-down box giving different numbers (6144520 & 6039709), the latter of which showed the T1 as being retired. http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Volkswagen-T1-Camper-Van-10220 Does anyone know what these mean? Thanks /// Paul

I have not seen any mention of DVDs that come with a minifig -- they are LEGO products, but they do not have set numbers. I just got a "Justice League Cosmic Clash" DVD with a Cosmic Boy minifig. Searching the site, I only see Cosmic Boy listed in a poly bag. Is the figure in the bag different than the one with the movie? How about the minifigs that come with the books, are they unique?

While cleaning out some boxes in storage recently, I came across two LEGO pieces that my wife got about a decade ago from a friend. She had completely forgotten about them, and we knew nothing about them other than where they came from. I have the male and female Nvidia LEGO keychains from E3 in 2005. I tried to do some research on them to learn more them, but there was a surprisingly small amount of info on the internet. All I learned was that they were a promotional give away at E3. The only real article on them that I could find said that they were "extremely rare", and currently there is only one of them listed on eBay, and it's just for the male. Anyways, c…

  21. Short and to the point, I have one end of a trans bar (lightsaber blade piece) stuck in a single stud clip and the bar will not come out let alone budge. The end is not far in at all yet seems to be caught in a sort of vacuum and will not move which doesn't help considering there really isn't much to grab on to because it's a bar. I tried doing a search for "lego part stuck" and almost all articles are about kids' noses. I've never really had a LEGO piece clutch this strongly before and would like to save both pieces if possible. If anyone has some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a Thread dedicated to Exclusive? It would be helpful for people who don't keep up 100% with all the sets released. I think knowing where Exclusives can be found would be great! I searched for a Exclusives thread, could not locate. Thoughts?

  23. I wonder, as EU citizen, and the Netherlands in particular, the benefits of exporting lego to other nations in the EU or abroad, like a hobby trader with few amounts It seems a lot of duty fees are set, not to mention shipping costs. Is there any trade route that doesnt eat up all your profit right away? I question if the differences in retailer prices can be exploited in this way. , so one should wait for articles to get real collectors value to be worth of exporting? sincerly CZ

I bought this today assuming had long been opened. Then looking closer I notice the tape –very yellowed and poorly aged– hasn't been cut. This does not look like something that would have been at retail but since I don't know how these were originally packaged and sold in 1977, I figured I'd ask you experts before I open it up. On the unlikely chance this is actually legitimately sealed. Thanks for the help. I've been a long-time LEGO fan and a casual collector. It's always nice to learn more about my one of my favorite companies.

What do you guys do with these? Are they even worth anything or can they be cleaned? Right now when I go through bulk stuff, I try to pull these out so that they are not included in anything as to my eyes these are no better than megablok as the color is distorted. I have about 30-40 castle wall pieces that are clearly distorted or some ugly grayish color.
