  1. If Any negative or neutral feedback is left it will be removed. Now as far as getting the items to their correct buyers cross shipping is not an option for you because of customs. Your only hope is that eBay provides them with return shipping labels then reships the sets to the correct location this time. Wildcard option: you ask the receiver of the valuable sets to make an eBay listing for say $1K OBO and they accept a $1 offer from your other buyer and ship it to them if both countries allow for this on their eBay platforms. You would have to cover shipping and fees.

  2. You will be protected from negative feedback. Do not refund the buyer yourself. Let GSC/GSP handle the situation. It's literally not your problem now and anything you yourself do may just complicate it further.

  3. 2,3%, and about 50% of that in sellable condition, but I think that is due to shipping to/handling in FCs.

  4. I agree with your point, it is well taken, most extra pieces are 1 x 1 and I would drive myself crazy if I had extras that were not 1 x 1 (like a 1 x 2), or something small. My example was typical of the extra pieces found in most sets. Sorry about your Titanic Box 1 building experience and needing to contact Lego. In my experience Lego has made it easier to build sets by showing the pieces and the piece count needed to build at each step. I love the instructions from 70’s -90’s sets, though I sometimes miss pieces because of not looking over each step carefully enough. Building vintage sets from PDFs can be even more challenging.

  5. One of my issues was finding the piece in the next bag, but I had stopped between bags and forgot that I replaced the "missing" piece. It took a minute, but I finally remembered but not before checking the instructions multiple times. The other issue was for the Baby Yoda build. I had two extra 1x2 pieces, so I was sure I missed something, but I retraced every step multiple times and never found where they went. I'm still not convinced I didn't miss something, but it looks right and everything went together without issue so I don't know what else they could be but extra.

  6. Yes, but in the X wing link that you provided what extra pieces are there that are not 1 stud other than the rubber band holder not used in the build but used to hold the rubber bands that control the wing open and close mechanism or am I missing something? I am missing 2 of the same elements from Titanic Box 1 and I know they were not lost, dropped or still in the bag, but in the same bag #9 there is an extra piece a light grey headlight brick not used in the build so far and I checked the extra pieces on BL and it is not there. I ordered the replacements from Lego as they are dark green and I don’t have spares. They were not in the next bag as that sometimes happens if it is an instructions issue. There are 10 more used in the build so perhaps I may find them in a few weeks. Luckily they don’t hold me up on the build and can be easily accessed when the replacements arrive.

  8. Yes, I understand that, but it doesn’t feel right just saying “oh well, not my problem”. The guy spent $300 on three vintage sets that are now on an entirely different continent than they should be, all because some dope at the shipping hub swapped two labels. At the very least the items in question should be returned to the hub and then sent to their correct buyers. What about feedback? I have over 1100, 100% positive. I’d hate to get my first negative over something so stupid and not even my fault. I appreciate the replies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. LEGO is experiencing whiplash. Couldn’t keep up with Covid demand and now people cutting discretionary spending to pay for basics. So, what do you do if you are LEGO and there is inflation all around you as well? If you don’t raise prices, your premium status starts to drop. Something you don’t want to have to recoup in the long haul. But if you do raise prices, you’ll lose sales in the short term and all that expensive factory capacity you just bought sits idle for awhile. Tough call. Good time to be an investor though — buy right after the Covid newbies are still licking their wounds and vowing never to invest in plastic bricks again — buy right when people don’t have the money at the moment to get the sets they may normally buy before they retire — buy when the retailers are pressured to discount the sets to move to anyone — and then hold a few years for those factors to reverse themselves and demand/supply conveniently flips back in our favor. phase 3 — PROFITS!!!

  10. I look up the set number of BrickLink, click on the parts list and check the extra items section near the end of the list to check if I missed in any pieces in the build and the extra pieces I have are indeed extra. Example using set 6212: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=6212-1

  12. Here is a new one. I have no idea how I’m going to solve this one. In this circumstance eBay themselves are the fruitcakes. I made two international sales through the eBay global shipping program over the Christmas weekend. One to Australia for a Newt’s Suitcase set and the other to South Africa for three vintage Western sets. Both were shipped to the eBay global shipping center in Illinois on 12/26. Today I get a message from the Australia buyer stating that they received the wrong item. I ask for photos of what they received and sure enough they got the three Western sets that should have gone to South Africa. I asked for a picture of the shipping labels on the top of the shipping box and it appears that whoever processed the package at the global shipping center put the wrong international label on the package. I double checked the labels that I put on to get the item to the shipping center in Illinois and everything was correct. Name and routing # both matched to the order details. The package with the Western sets they received had the other persons name and routing # on the label I filled out, as it should have, but the international label that eBay put on at the shipping center had the other persons name. They must have received both packages at the same time and swapped the labels in error while processing them at the global shipping center. The buyer in South Africa who is expecting the Western sets hasn’t received their package yet, which will contain a Newt’s Suitcase. Now I’m going to have two upset international customers because eBay put the wrong shipping labels on the packages. Newts Case was around $80 after shipping. I can replace that. The three Western sets were around $300 after shipping. Those I obviously can’t replace. I have no idea who to even try to talk to, since it’s impossible to get ahold of a human being at eBay, and I have no idea how I’m going to get those Western sets back so I can resend them to the correct person. Finally, eBay better cover any and all expenses regarding this fiasco since it was their screw up. Any ideas? What a mess… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
