  6. Amazon has some weird Dimensions bundles, for some of the packs not part of the 99 cent store haul. The Harry Potter one is a nice deal, Fantastic Beast story pack, HP team pack, Tina Goldstein Fun pack, and a Legolas (?) for $36. https://www.amazon.com/Warner-Dimensions-Bundle-Not-Machine-Specific/dp/B01N8YNWWX/ref=sm_n_se_dkp_US_pr_sea_0_2?sigts=1488850114078&sig=5aeff5e9a7563b3ae0f82f2b6ca4392f27344cb3&adId=B01N07UOM9&creativeASIN=B01N07UOM9&linkId=4fa7899bb4d6b15a709eee42cefb15c1&&linkCode=w42&ref-refURL=https%3A%2F%2Fcommunity.brickpicker.com%2Ftopic%2F16847-lego-dimensions%2F&slotNum=0&imprToken=NHB00ht0tba6it-qGkfSCA&th=1

  7. Same here. Won 4 times, about a $1. Thanks @TacoCat!!! also Visited local Kmart today and found all this, is snything worth picking up at 20% off of the (already lowered) sticker prices? Those battle packs? How about bionicles? Additional magic (coupons, points) apply. Yeah, SW Battle packs for sure... i know, some of the sets made me feel like I'm at one of @exciter1 local stores lol

  8. I haven't read all the comics, novels, graphic novels, teen books, kid's books, etc to know all the details, but the Jedi purge was not complete. We know at least that Quinlan Vos survived and even had kids, and how many Knights and Padawans were away from the temple on one-off missions, not all of which would have required clone escorts? Given any warning at all, any of the Jedi could use mind manipulation on the clones that later showed up to find them and lived comfortably for a long while, especially in the outer rim. I would also assume that Jedi would be able to live relatively normal lives free of suspicion if they suppress their use of lightsabers and use them only in situations where they know there will be no witnesses or people willing to turn them in. You can fight in normal clothing using mental manipulation, force pushing, and other techniques without drawing attention on holovids by wearing voluminous robes and waving around a burning blade. I do have a few of the graphic novels, and recall some of them explicitly showing Jedi going to the temple and seeing hopeless odds, so they melted back into the crowds of Coruscant. Perhaps the order still has pockets of relatively minor devotees in loose affiliation with each other, or maybe they all went separate ways and severed communication. The only ones we really see die in RotS are the masters on the council; it's implied that all the Jedi had their clone escorts turn on them. Back to the topic: Rebels. It's not inconceivable that Kanan and Ezra, knowing the draw that Force users exude on other Force users, would use mind manipulation to erase memories of their rebel friends and retreat to a remote location away from the Galactic Civil War to help their friends evade detection. Maybe after the Battle of Scarif, the Ghost crew went to help Sabine take control of Mandalore and use that army's might to help free another sector of the galaxy, but the Emporer and Vader were so obsessed with Skywalker that they didn't spare a thought to that conflict. Wouldn't that be a fun adventure: Sabine and Mandalore in league with our rebel crew trying to stage an uprising in a large area to which Thrawn has been dispatched. Thrawn's capacity for strategy and analysis vs. Mandalorian ferocity? Yes, please.

  9. Well I don't know about the rest of you but when there is no good clearance or sales or anything really going on I get an itch to buy stuff. All I have left is 2013 SDCC stuff. I only buy the marvel stuff from each year. Some more in the mail over the next few days!

  10. Just got back from the Lego store where I bought the 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate for $63.59 after redeeming $50 in VIP points. I really like the Ahsoka minifigure! It is for investment. I also bought the Palace Cinema my wife wanted along with the Captain America and Joker BrickHeadz my kids wanted. My wife is on board with our Lego investments and bought the Buckingham Place for herself too about two weeks ago! The best part is I still came out with 300 VIP points thank to 2x points! The City helicopter polybag was a bonus.

  13. Totally forgot about listing a 75021 Republic Gunship on Brick Classifieds last year. Sold one today for $190. Oops. Cheapest prime is $314. I have 2 more. They all look like I got them straight from the LEGO production floor. I wish I could've accidentally sold a 75918 for $75 instead. I had to deactivate around 10 listings that I had forgotten about.

  15. I left a negative yesterday, and only feel a little bad. I bought a book I needed which was $91.00. Seller waited 1 week then cancelled the order due to a price increase or some crap. I paid for expedited shipping too. They could have let me know sooner so I could have ordered from someone else. They did not have a perfect rating anyway around 94% so I doubt I changed anything out of the 5000 or so sales ratings they had.

  16. From what I heard, Dragons seem to be pretty sure-fire investments, and 50% off is a good starting point for profit :). Just a few warnings on these two sets: 1) Neither of them are currently sold out or retired from LEGO Shop at Home. The real gem in the line is 41178 The Dragon Sanctuary which retired after only 4 months and never saw broad distribution at retail. So you might need to wait a while before these sets start increasing in value (potentially another year). 2) Speaking of retirements, out of the two Dragon waves (March 16 and August 16), the following sets have retired: 41171 Emily Jones, 41173 School of Dragons, 41174 Starlight Inn, 41176 Secret Marketplace, 41177 Precious Crystal Mine and 41178 Dragon Sanctuary. 41172 Water Dragon, 41175 Fire Dragon, 41179 Queen Dragon and 41180 Shadow Castle are still available at LEGO Shop at Home and in stores. Given the surprise post-retirement increase of some of the other sets these last remaining ones are going to be pretty hoarded, so they are less likely to increase in value (or at least not as rapidly) as the others. 2) Target did sell 41179 for $22 in some locations - I've got 3 at that price You'll be competing with some at those buyins.

  17. Got offered €170 (including shipping) for the combo of NISB Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion + Mystery Machine. Buy-in was less than 100 for the combo, so I'm taking the offer. I have another combo of these that I'll be holding for the future.

  28. I was digging around CL, Let Go and Offer Up looking for new LEGO sets. I had not purchased any used bricks (except minis) since I started back in December '16. A guy had a couple pics with used bricks piled up, but something caught my eye that looked Star Wars ish. Most bricks were black, dark and light gray and no neon colored (not looking for Friends/Elves and such). I bought them a few days ago, but ran through the process of completely breaking down what they had, sorted for color and began washing them. They did not have any boxes or manuals, so goes the challenge of identifying what I had actually bought: From my research (learning how to identify), it seems I have these sets going for me so far: Batman I: 7785 Arkham Asylum (all six minis) Monster Fighters: 9468 Vampyre Castle (all 7 minis) 9461 The Swamp Creature (both minis) 9463 The Werewolf (both minis) Alien Conquest: 7050 Alien Defender 7051 Tripod Invader 7052 UFO Abduction Lone Ranger: 79107 Comanche Camp 79108 Stagecoach Escape 79110 Silver Mine Shootout 30260 Lone Ranger's Pump Car poly 30261 Tonto's Campfire poly City: Space Port 3368 Space Center Minis: Battle Damaged Darth Vader with broken helmet/neck piece and normal helmet (maybe 7672 Rogue Shadow, but do not have the other 2 minis) Crazy Scientist (Series 4 mini) Punk Rocker (Series 4 mini) I still have many left to try and figure out. I know some Chima, Ninjago, Minecraft and City still blended together. It was about 18lbs of bricks and a bag with about 65 minis. Will update with results in a few days as I start combing through the parts lists for the above to confirm completion rates.

  34. That's why it's on Craigslist and not on BL or BP Classifieds. On CL I'm looking for a local end-user, not an investor. Your average person doesn't know that VIP points exist, let alone when they are double. Like I said I'm fine with holding the set for the long run, but I'll take a nice profit in the short term to essentially make the one I bought for myself half off.

  38. I was out of town today at the vet for Lily's monthly allergy shot and decided to stop at a Target in Northborough , Ma. I found 2x 41175 Elves Fire Dragon's Lava Cave for $19.98 ea and also 3x 41179 Queen Dragon's Rescue which rang as "item not found". The toy manager ended up selling them to me for $34.98 ea. He said they were marked as salvage. All 5 were in pretty mint boxes. From what I've read here on the Elves, the Dragon's are no brainers at 50% off.

  41. I call this my "poor man's temple" My son received Tiger widow Island and dojo Showdown (70756) for Christmas. We're throwing a ninja themed birthday for him tomorrow and my wife wanted a Center piece. So I looked through my inventory, but I didn't have any thing large or nice enough. So I decided to MOC one using what we had. Not bad for 15 min worth of work.

  42. Another UCS set to add to the collection. Not universally appreciated due to it not instantly being a winner from a investment perspective but a great build and definently a classic Star Wars ships that is universally recognised and Lego have done a good job in recreating.

  43. Sorry to be quoting something 2 weeks old, but I wanted to come back to give details about what happened in my case. This morning, I got an email from PayPal telling me they had resolved the dispute in the buyer's favour and I would therefore lose my £179.95 as well as pay a £14 fee for there being a chargeback and the case was now closed! Needless to say, I was f**king livid. I had supplied all the proof of delivery they needed to show I was covered with Seller Protection and explained how I had an eBay message that confirmed to me which postcode to use from the two that had been entered as the PayPal delivery address. I think some moron must have handled it because the status details were set to: We have reviewed the case. Because you have not met Seller Protection performance requirements, the transaction will be reversed. The case is now closed." I phoned them up (freephone number) and thankfully it was a competent human being on the end (Gary was his name) who listened to all the details and said that I should be protected and he would escalate it. That was about 6 hours ago. I just got another email from PayPal telling me I was being given back the £179.95 and the £14 chargeback fee. It now shows up my account as a transfer from "PayPal Balance Adjustment". Thank you, Gary at PayPal! So it basically all worked out in the end. Phew! I can't afford to be down £200 right now.
