I am suppose to be taking care of yellow subs today but I got distracted and went on offer up and well you know how that goes. I think I did ok! Everything pictured for 380. Hard to tell if it's 100% complete (she was selling it for her husband who hasn't touched them in like 10 years) if the 10143 is close to complete I'll be happy! Lol Now I'm going to get back on track and start getting ready to ship these 90 subs!

My girl has been buggin for years to see the grand canyon and when I heard about these dimensions for .99 I told her ok we can go check out the canyon as long as we stop at every .99 store on the way. Just got back from the road trip and heres what I got. Not sure what to do with them yet but now I have dimensions and tumblers in the shed.

My daughter and I finished up the UCS R2-D2 that we picked up on eBay for $89+ a few bucks for the missing pieces. I have to say, it looks great! It was tough for my daughter to tell the difference between the two blue colors in the instruction book because they look so similar, so I think she ended up with a couple of 1x3 blue pieces switched around, but not really noticeable. After no UCS builds in the past we have done two in January and are hooked! Up next is the UCS Imperial AT-ST 10174 that my son and I are going to build. We picked up used/complete (other than the box) on eBay last week for $130 shipped, which I figured is worth it for the build.

Choices choices, one less Joker Lowrider for me.

Finished building Batcave Break-In 70909. The actual batcave build isn't too bad. The boat, vehicle and some of the minifigures are more interesting though. Still the batcave functions well as play set.

Probably just sell them to unsuspecting Europeans.

But they both look like easy swaps. I don't know if you've built the Hot Dog Cart, but my daughter built it over the weekend. It probably takes less than 20 pieces (on the cart itself) to swap out the teal and pink for colors to fit a non-friends scene. It looks like the teal is unavoidable on the ski lift like the track from the roller coaster. But this is all easy to explain... LEGO WANTS AFOLS TO BUY FRIENDS SETS TOO! It is ingenious. How many AFOLs are buying these amusement park theme sets to color swap? Even if the answer is 5%, that is 4.5% more than would be buying these sets anyways. That means they get the normal Friends crowd and the additional AFOLs who have no interest in HL sets, Pop Star sets, the Friends Jungle sub-theme etc. IMO it is very smart...
