My girl has been buggin for years to see the grand canyon and when I heard about these dimensions for .99 I told her ok we can go check out the canyon as long as we stop at every .99 store on the way. Just got back from the road trip and heres what I got. Not sure what to do with them yet but now I have dimensions and tumblers in the shed.9 points

My daughter and I finished up the UCS R2-D2 that we picked up on eBay for $89+ a few bucks for the missing pieces. I have to say, it looks great! It was tough for my daughter to tell the difference between the two blue colors in the instruction book because they look so similar, so I think she ended up with a couple of 1x3 blue pieces switched around, but not really noticeable. After no UCS builds in the past we have done two in January and are hooked! Up next is the UCS Imperial AT-ST 10174 that my son and I are going to build. We picked up used/complete (other than the box) on eBay last week for $130 shipped, which I figured is worth it for the build.9 points

Lego sent me an invite for a free screening. I think this will work for anyone, just enter your zip. Up to 4 free passes, Tuesday 11am or so. Worth pulling the kids out of school imho. https://wbtickets.com/main/national_campaign/TEVHT2JhdG1hbg==5 points

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If Valentine's Day + Girl = Obligation, then Selling + LEGO = Money. Therefore, LEGO = Money = Girl x Romancing. Math checks out.5 points

Finally finished my Enterprise. I was missing 1 piece so I am going to try to email them to see if they will mail it to me. I have to say it was a pretty good build. Parts of it were tedious but overall it was fun. The final product looks great and any hardcore Star Trek fan would love to have this one. There are an unbelievable 150 printed pieces in the set. The pieces are definitely inferior to Lego but looking at the final product you really can't see that. This thing is a beast with the completed set weighing in at 9.5 pounds. Overall I would say this is a great set but I am glad I didn't buy any for investment because I think the risk of missing pieces is too great. Just realized my nacelles are on backwards. Oops. Easy fix. [emoji51]5 points

Hi. I'm a mom of 3. We've been building with Legos as soon as my kids could put pieces together. We try to go to Brickworld Chicago as much as we can. When they were younger they won Build Your Best Texas contest and we got to go to Kidsworld in Texas.4 points

In my opinion, I would skip on the IR just because it is RRP + there are a lot of members who got the IR at a very big discount meaning there you will have some competition selling it of course. It isn't worth it as an investment standpoint and plus it's selling on Ebay at RRP anyway.4 points

I was hoping Scarecrow was going to finish his farm-to-table conglomerate with the Mill of Malfeasance (to bridge the gap between the Harvester of Fear and the Special Delivery).3 points

Nice. I made my first ever sale on eBay a few days ago. Full set of Disney figs. After my cost, fees, and shipping, I think I made about $50 CAD.3 points

Accidentally made my first sale on Amazon, lol. Some Dimensions packs for $5 each. Yes, they were 99 Cent Store pickups. Accidentally, because I was just getting my feet wet looking at FBA and FBM selling, and wasn't even intending to sell LEGO in my Amazon Store. I just threw up something in there to test things out, and didn't realize I had made it live.3 points

I hope if they come out with another UCS playset, i'm in favor of the next one being a jedi council set from the prequels. The prequels need something, and that set would be pretty cool, if they supplied it with 10 jedi minifigures, episode 3 Palpatine in his robe, and some young padwans. If they are going to head down thew new movie route, then Maz's castle or a star killer base type set would be the next best treatment.. I personally will invest in the bounty hunter battle pack. While Dengar was in the freemakers set, he's not made very often. Bossk and 4lom are also figures that don't come out very often either, and if Ig88 has a printed head, it will make it worth investing in. That set will be very iconic, plus it's OT based - which have proven to be gold. Although, the Death Star Troopers is one that hasn't appreciated very much, so you never know.2 points

Now 15 out of 17 regular sets will contain a normal Batman minifigure (not counting suits like The Bat Pack from the Batcave set). So how many Batman minifigures does one need beyond the first?2 points

A plan? You're obviously new here, brickpickers don't need plans, we just buy first think later, how else can Joe Bloggs living in moms basement compete with established FBA sellers with warehouses and forklifts...2 points

My dream of having a Gotham criminal construction crew is one step closer. The Joker Steamroller will finally have some company. I'm disappointed that they didn't release any new batsuits in this wave.2 points

I've been obsessing about which parts are worth pulling out if these sets. If you are too lazy to start a Bricklink store but want to part some out on EBay, here are some pieces that are worth my time to seperate: Bart and Homer Torsos Homer's hips/legs Buzz Cola cans Bart's slingshot Axels on Bart's vehicle Ninjago throwing stars As someone who's still building his personal collection, I'm pumped by all the great pieces that are in these sets. Check out the white croissants in the Wu set.2 points

sadly when it comes down to Lego there is little protection to sellers, hence my decision to severely cut down on my number of offering on large sets on Amazon as those are the targeted sets ( no one is going to bother with a 25$ city set ). i only speak for my self and my business, others obviously have a different take on this issue.2 points

I don't understand how there's even a question if these $1 packs are worth getting. If someone offered me Scooby, Homer, etc minifigs in any quantity I wanted for $1 each, I'd buy a few thousand.2 points
