  1. Just picked up this cl lot for a hundo. 8 first gen friends sets, sponge party, crafting box new in open box, couple city trucks, and a couple tubs. The sets are all bagged individually. The little girl assured me they were complete, sure enough I built spongebob and it was all there including extra pieces.

  6. Finished! It's missing about 30 pieces that will be easy and cheap to buy from BL. I purchased it couple weeks ago for $240 on CL thanks to a tip from @terrymc4677 Will sell on eBay for $600-700.

  7. I asked my four girls how they would rank the Elves, Friends and Moana sets. They collectively replied: Elves first. Friends second and they have Moana sets? (they have all seen the movie) They are a pretty good microchasm of the under ten girls market. My son, when he heard me poling them chimed in, " dad, those sets are not any good". Just one families opinion LOL Paul

  9. Wow....guess I know when I fell asleep last night. So, second try.... Am I the only one wondering how to become a LEGO authenticator? I'd be happy to accept the fee to inspect the goods.

  10. All I know is that my daughter loved the movie and the music so we will be getting the sets at some point. Hard to count out any of the Disney "princess" sets with the way they have been performing after EOL lately.

  17. The losers are likely the 6 extra bags that filled up the full box of 60 bags to make it 3 complete sets + 6 spare bags. Those 6 extras are (in Europe at least): Pizza Planet Alien Mr. Incredible Stitch Mickey Mouse Genie Syndrome Winners are, as far as I know: Buzz Lightyear Maleficent Alice & Cheshire Cat Peter Pan & Captain Hook Ariel & Ursula Donald Duck & Daisy Duck

  19. Went to the local Lego store today with the family. Someone returned a sealed Lincoln Memorial earlier that day so I bought that for $23 along with some Batman minifig polys (2 Red Hoods I think). Picked up 2 replacement promo Batman movie polybags (wife 'accidentally' threw out the original ones from Jan 2. - made her ask for them).

  20. Not LEGO related, but my kids needed new sleeping bags for a sleepover. Bought some boy/girl colored ones at *Bleep*'s Sporting Goods but even after washing them 5x they still reek, so had to find proper cotton lined ones. Stumbled upon the Coleman Green Valley sleeping bag on sale at KMart/Sears for $34 and change. Played around a little bit between the three sites (Sears.com, KMart.com and SYW.com) but got the following to work both on SYW and Sears: 2x $34 for the sleeping bags (similar price as it sells for on Amazon.com) $10 off $50 coupon (9700073570204686 or 9700073575450545 or whatever code the "Go Elfin' Wild $10 off $50 Kmart" coupon gives you at http://shc.cpn2c.co/RecomService/web/bE3R ) $8 in surprise points that somehow appeared on my account for use at Sears only, didn't seem to have a minimum spend, and applied together with the coupon Total out the door: $50 (that's $25 per bag, 45% off MSRP) But here comes the kicker: I see more free LEGO in my future ....

  21. Lol "Kennobbi" I feel like this set is "action features with stuff built around them" instead of a nice scene with action features built in. Not a very good set.

Actually, I'm not sure how the second activity furthers the goals of the first, but I bet there's a secret plan in there somewhere.

  33. So, I was printing a label on ebay today, and the price was coming up a full $1.32 more than normal. Thought it was a little suspect, so I did some digging. Turns out prices increased across the board today, January 16th. https://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/assets/pdf/business/parcel-rate-action-overview-2017_en.pdf PDF says to share with the appropriate reps of my organization. So uh, here you go guys

  36. The low buy in is always my trademark. I'm really bad at guessing which sets will be true hits, so i make sure my buys are always 10% or more below the cheapest seller in Bricklink. (Which randomly means 25% cheaper than ebay listings) This way I can always dump sets and still break even at worst. (DS, TB, friends, I'm looking at you...) Bac to that cargo train, i managed to clear a shelf in a big dept store and score 15. They all went relatively fast. So a succes. Demand is higher than my average lotr or recent creater/modular. Take care

  40. maybe. i agree with the rationale that people generally don't miss something until it's retired and not available at retail. my investment expectations are low and only own one for the kiddies. i think the ghost ship (despite it's small scale and awkward design - great 1st design attempt by lego though) did well because it's featured in pretty much every rebels episode. the 75106 is another pretty cool star wars ship that shouldn't be refreshed anytime soon. i just it was shown more in rebels or made it into the rogue one film. it's still one of the 2 sets with agent kallus / fulcrum but the main selling point is still prob being exclusive for sabine's helmet...for now.

  48. I'm really excited to announce that my collection of LEGO labels has been significantly enhanced to include almost every current LEGO Technic element. This latest "Version 2.3" of my label collection adds 82 LEGO Technic parts for a total of over 600 labels across System and Technic!I added labels for 82 important Technic elements to this update.LEARN MORE AND DOWNLOAD AT: http://brickarchitect.com/labels/Technic Lovers, please give the labels a try and let me know what you think! I'm happy to add additional labels to make the collection more useful to you.Sincerely,---tomP.S. While Technic is not my focus, I recently built 42043 Mercedes Benz Arocs, which was my first modern Technic set. It was challenging, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot!
