  3. Here's some info that may or may not be useful. I've been offloading extra and damaged battle packs from KMart promotions on EBay. My lots of Kashyyyk Troopers sell at a much more brisk pace than my Death Star Troopers lots. I pretty much sell 3 KT sets for every 1 DST. I also plan on hoarding a good bit of Kashyyyk Trooper sets for post retirement.

  4. I like Vancouver, WA in the USA. No state income tax, and tax free shopping just over the bridge in Oregon. Easy to get a mailing address in Portland. Sure the weather sucks, but it rains money.

  5. Add 999 to cart, then click place order *normally people won't have credit limit over in 6 figures and WM should not have 999 in-stock. Once you click place order, WM will check its system and give you an error with how many they have in-stock.

  6. 5958 Mummy's Tomb Super awesome classic build. It feels more authentic than the new styles (cartoony?). I can't believe they don't just remake these or extend them, I'd buy em in a heartbeat.

  8. There are always some legit reasons for the drops (skyrocketing prices are usually a bit more hard to justify). Here are some for the ones you mentioned: 10187 - Yes, the 10187 prices really started moving when the Camper came out. There were probably more people who wanted this set after the Camper came out than wanted it during its retail availability. 10184 - The Modular Town Hall, and Cinema sets have made this once seemingly amazing set seem much less so. There would likely be a gas station modular as well, but the environmentalists may have killed that possibility. 10190 - The most rare piece (5 Dk Blue arch) was made available in the 10235 set (which immediately gave the set an $80-$100 haircut). Plus, it is a bit ugly, and lacks the official modular stamp. 4954 - Since 2007 Lego has continued to produce many Houses and Modulars that far exceed what this set had to offer - In 2007 it was incredible, but today - not so much.

  9. Not sure if it is a sign of retirement, but it is a sign it should do okay after retirement.

  10. The Mos Eisley Cantina is OOS at Lego.com, Amazon, and online at Target. A sign? It's already shot up to 80.00 on amazon…

  11. I know what you mean! I bought this set in a bulk lot along with some other older sets and building them was awesome. I loved this set and I'm still contemplating on whether or not I should sell it in the near future.

  13. I thought I'd float it out there that as I have shipped it to Australia it may be some indication of deepening interest in it but maybe that doesn't hold water. Whatever floats the prospective buyer's boat, Maersk-by I should have said. P.s. don't pun-ish me for that one.

  17. I agree. It is non issue for a regular LEGO set. But if we are talking about dropping $500...$1000...$2000...or even $3000 on a set, I don't know...I wouldn't mind the seals being broken and the seller verifying the contents before purchasing the set to build. It gets tricky when investors want to buy an expensive set to resell at a later time. I think it will be up to us and other LEGO communities to say it is OK to open a set to confirm its contents, taking into consideration the fact that most secondary market sets are bought to build anyway.

  18. Haha, yeah. Here's how to find them though: Filter by "New Arrivals" and if any show up with ratings in the filters, then those are generally old things they've restocked and discounted. You can also find other below MSRP there: LEGO Lone Ranger - Silver Mine Shootout (79110), LEGO Super Heroes - Superman™: Battle of Smallville (76003).

  19. The Maersk Triple E is retired in our neck of the woods. Aftermarket prices have jumped 60% already. People won't lose with it, and shorter production runs are always a great thing for investors.

These are the sets I actually remember from when I was a kid. Pretty excited I had some ninja castle too around 1999-2001, but I can't remember, hopefully this'll jog my memory

  28. Took the family to NYC for Mother's Day, and we swung by the Lego Store while we were there. There was an ignored pile of clearance items off to one side. I was surprised to see (and grabbed) 2x 60064 Arctic Supply Planes for $13.48 each (reg $49.99). Also grabbed a bunch of "I Love NY" Lego Statue of Liberty magnets while I was there.
