  5. As a used set I don't see this one surpassing $350-400. As far as sell v hold at the moment you must consider what else you could put that $150 profit into. Is it better to sell now and get a sealed Pet Shop or Palace cinema in hopes they retire and will increase faster? Will the new book cause a huge spike in all things Potter? What if Lego gets another license and comes out with a bigger and better Hogwarts? Personally I like to turn over inventory, but this is a very nice set.

  8. So perhaps a used one with missing parts that has been dropped on the floor by a toddler will be worth more as it is more authentic!

  9. R2 D2 set 10225 available from TRU ebay listing. There should be 2 left. They are regular price plus 4 bucks shipping, but still a good investment.

  10. I finally bought the Death Star. I missed out on the SSD and I kick myself for that. I had no DS yet. I really wanted a RED Five but they had zero in stock. SO I jumped in and went with 10188. Hate to pay full retail but with VIP points and Admiral Y. I went with it before I missed it,

  12. When the series comes out, there is a very small window to make a larger profit, but that is risky. I'd just wait until supply dries out and sell it in a year, since they're so easy to store.

  14. Grabbed 2 of that Bike shop & Cafe.... Not entirely sure on it, may end up returning, but after seeing all the mods of it to turn it into a modular scale, I thought I'd grab em at the sale price, then see what I can put together in LDD using the parts the 2 come with. If I can come up with something unique and satisfying I'll open them and build it (and maybe their 3 designs as well for the build experience)....if not, I'll return to my local Lego store and chuck the money into an actual modular as investment. Got 90 days to figure it out. I'm big into cycling IRL, so a bike shop would be very fitting in my modular street, that's sort of what sold me on it.

  15. At the very least, if it's already in used status, build the sucker and get some personal enjoyment out of it before flipping! It's a cool set! (Not overly helpful to your question, but gives you something fun to do while you hym and haw over a decision!)

  16. It will rise to $1000+ and probably by xmas 2015/2016, so you likely won't lose on this if you hold it long enough. However there are other investments to jump on most people would probably advise you to let this ship sail away.

  17. if the choice is because you don't have one then buying a used one in a good shape with all the instruction and box might be a good idea. from investment perspective its very difficult to answer ..... look where the MF is at .. but by no means SSD is MF... anyway just my 0.02

  19. figure out your game plan early or you will spend a lot of wasted effort "winging" it I have a used one of the same set, it isn't as rock solid as people think at this time of the year. Why spend $250 on this set, if you can get a nice 4709 used for $100? you are not just competing selling this set with the other sellers of this set, you are competing with the other 2-3 versions of hogwarts too. You like HP? keep it You want to get ball rolling on investing? flip it and move on. I am one that likes to keep at least some of my inventory rolling over, but choice is up to you

  23. Geez...what does that even mean? Are you the CEO of B&Noble? Or are you a cashier. Do your job. Scan it. If it works, then it's supposed to work. Because someone much higher than your pay grade, with a permanent position in the company, programmed those machines to accept what it's supposed to accept. Glad you walked away. I wouldn't have time to deal with that either. Although, that would tempt me to complain to the people above her about her crappy customer service.
