  1. Done for the night again. This is bags 7,8, and 9 and has us through page 335 out of 440. Bags 7 and 8 were just the other propeller / motor stations and are slightly bigger than the first 2. It was nice rotating these in the build as they are pretty much all the same so we each did 1 smaller and 1 larger. Bag 9 you start closing up the deck of the ship and put on the engines in the back. Those are probably the least sturdy attachments so far. Everything so far has been constructed really well and feels like one of the more solid large builds. Hoping to finish tomorrow after work with the last 3 bags 10, 11, and 12. Then to add the power functions (what I am looking forward to most) Saw the micro figs in there and they are ridiculously small. They are like the size of a peg in a battleship game. Also attached photos of Cap and Nick Fury minifigs.

  2. This new item which is a ten times upscale minifigure mug on Shop-at-Home popped up in the "You may also like" recommendations section for me earlier. There also is a Friends version for the missus.

  15. Exciter and Darth I yield to you. You both are the blackest of black belt Ninja's. Haru: The blackness of my belt is like the inside of a coffin on a moonless night. Joey: That's pretty black, Man. Haru: It is a black art, and I, Haru, am the blackest of the black. Or rather the great white black art... Blackest... Master.

  21. Why are you trying desperately to convince people here? You shared the information. Some might believe you, some do not. If you are convinced, act and buy those PC's. Furthermore. Never reveal your source.

  30. The ice cream truck well as the other 2-in-1 vehicles stand a bit tall and could use some modifying to make them shorter to the ground but they work fine overall. Main flaw with this one is the customer counter is a brick too high making regular minifigures barely able to be served properly as the counter stops right at the top of their heads. Anyway here is a mod to remedy that using only the included pieces. An LDD file is up to download in the main post there.

  31. I think I have all versions of the shuttle from 10212 down to the polys and the advent calander. When the new 1,000 piece shuttle comes out this fall I think it will be time to build and display them. Nice job Raven!

  32. 10234- Sydney Opera House The SOH replaces the TB as the new living room centerpiece, so expectations were high from the entire family. Jury is still out on this one, but it is starting to grow on me. Pro's: Lots of unique pieces including a ton of dark tan, several hundred dark translucent windows, and a ton of white shells End result is stunning, and looks great from all angles. Speaking of angles, the geometry to do the shells is simply astounding challenging, unique, if not somewhat strange build' more transportable than the TB, with easily separated sections. Cons While I mention that it looks great from all angles, our table will only all to display it from the side. Going to have to work on a new spot shell build gets a little redundant, but how they all come together is remarkable Speaking of the shells, I am not certain I like the layered shell look (instead of on smooth shell), but it is growing on me. missing two piece (no big deal) but some of the white shell pieces have a bit of a weird distortion on a few of them. Overall worth the time. I will definitely stash another one of these away should it decide to retire early (ya never know!). I think this will be an EOL winner.

  37. Ok, the full January 2014 and February 2014 is now available. Over the next 1-2 days I will continue to comb through it and look for issues/misses/etc. That happens everything month. I have also pushed updated brickfolio code that will now allow those of you outside the USA to select one of the 3 other available datasets to base your brickfolio on. (GBP, EURO, AUD) Just click the Change Currency button on the main Brickfolio dashboard page and it will allow you select the dataset. I just ask for a little patience still with this as every update we look for inconsistencies with the data from these other regions. Trying to find issues with over 10,000 sets takes time. You find some here, there, etc. Anyhow, let me know how it goes. If you find major errors, please send me a PM. Thanks Jeff

  38. Sorry I didn't realize I postulated any theory at all. The point was rather to perhaps spark more interesting discussion about Sea Cow since so many TLM sets are retiring now and it obviously *could* follow within a relatively short time frame even though there are few signs as of yet... but I will take this as constructive criticism and gladly admit that I have little to nothing to offer in the way of "XXXXX is retiring on XX-XX-XXXX because Joe-Bob says so!!!!" statements. I am following "the database" comments with interest as well because of some personal experience but have nothing to offer (again) yet that hasn't already been said by several individuals. If/when I do, I'll try to share with a degree of humility and discretion.

  41. Prices at my local TRU were same as LEGO Shop at Home. The hot car seems to be the McLaren P1. Sold out at all my local stores. The other hot car is the LaFerrari, it's also basically gone. Plenty of the others. If you're waiting for double-VIP, you get a better deal with the TRU $5 off $25 coupon + 10% on Thursday. Including TRU rewards, this puts the effective cost of each car at $10.33 + tax (assuming you buy them 2 at a time and use the coupon). Not bad at all at that price
