  1. There is a new feature available to those of you that may not have wanted to start from scratch and re-list all of your current eBay products. This feature will hopefully make that process a little faster. In the Products section of the Vendor admin areas, you will see a new link for "Import from eBay". Its a pretty simple and fast setup. You will see an eBay Connect/Reconnect button that will bring you to eBay and ask for your permission for Brick Classifieds to get your listings. They basically pass us a token to allow us to list your items for you to select and import. It will show you all your current listings. If there are non LEGO related listings, you can keep those unchecked and it will only import the ones you want to import. You will also have the ability to select a small discount to your current pricing. If you would like to lower the price by 5% or even 10% it will adjust those prices on import. Once you select all your desired items to be imported, process them and you will then see all of them listed and ready to be edited and made live. All imported items default to the non active status. You will still need to add/adjust a few things to make sure it fits the Brick Classifieds format. It will import your Title, Description, Price, Quantity, condition (if available) and images. You will still need to select the category, enter tags and do shipping. If you are using stock photos on eBay, these will need to be turned into personal photos for Brick Classifieds. This has been going really well on the site, and we do not want to deviate from this. Note: All my listings above are fake, just used for testings... Hopefully this feature will encourage some of you that are just on eBay to import your listings here and continue to build the marketplace. If you are running into issues, please send me a PM and we will figure it out. Feedback is always welcome. There is also a sync process setup to monitor your eBay listings. If it is sold on eBay, it will update your Brick Classifieds listings. It can subtract quantity or make your listing in-active. Thank you

  5. And somewhere in LEGO's secret lair: Crap! They found it out! Now we have to conspicuously retire a different exclusive!

  6. By the way, I hear the Tumbler is on its last legs. Absurd, you say? Nope, Town Hall. Slave I is on the way out too. I know that because Town Hall and because Lego hates resellers.

  9. why are people all hurt about a satellite. its a satellite. do people really want this model or they are looking for another mars rover for sales? Wall-E was probably an easy call since its disney and they have license. i personally like the model and will buy for myself.

  10. YES! Doctor Who will be incredible. And I'm so very hopeful that this will be the start of a whole line of Doctor Who LEGO. I will be hoarding these as much as I can. A) I want it for myself, and need to get it for my Whovian friends. This will have a much larger appeal that just LEGO fans. Whovians will gobble this up.

  11. I still think it's best to make decisions based on known statistics and patterns. You can remain open to the possibility that seemingly improbable things can happen without assuming that they absolutely will happen. That said, I would concede that it is not crazy to load up on the PC now if one desires; it HAS been out for 2 years. But in my mind there is no plausible evidence available to suggest that it is retiring in the next 12 months. Honestly I'm just getting a bit sick of people claiming that X set is probably retiring soon, giving no rationale behind their claim and then hiding behind a Town Hall box when the criticism rolls in.

  12. OK, just keep believing conspiracy theories and basing your decisions around sets that are the exception rather than those that are the rule.

  13. Trek is late to the game. Trek absolutely loves this! Trek wants one himself! Trek is sad because he knows Lego and Paramount CBS will never have a licensing deal. Trek needs to pretend Star Trek is made out of Lego. Trek wants to be happier. Trek will go back to focusing on being first person in line for a Helicarrier at the Lego store 2 hours away on opening day like an Apple fanboy waiting for an iPhone 7. Trek discloses he is an apple fanboy as well but no longer stands in line for apple like he does for Lego. Trek will stand in line for Helicarrier. Trek is thinking "Be the Helicarrier" like "Be the Ball" in Caddyshack. Trek now can forget about Star Trek not being real lego. Trek is happier. Trek gives a shout out to Darth Raichu and all the other Star Trek Fans on BP. Trek feels better now. Trek will be starting shortly Into Darkness Star Trek 2 by JJ Abrams because of this thread. Trek likes to pretend it is somehow related to Star Wars and it makes Episode VII and the UCS Tie Fighter all the closer. Trek says I love BP. Trek signs off.

  14. I like to list with stock photos. I describe the item as not mint and request buyers to contact me first if they are concerned about box condition. A soon as they contact me I ban them. Frustration and hissy fit free. I won't sell any other way on ebay.

  18. F'ing awesome! Love Wall-E and it looks sooo good compared to what was in the movie. Screw the Hubble and Dr. Who. I don't care for either, but I know there are fans of both.

  19. ^^^^yes, some of the oldest cave drawings ever discovered show the first doctor locked in combat with a stone dialect.

  20. Also it's just fun to say... Hubble-Hubble-Hubble +ve on both Wall-E will have a small following now since the movie isn't quite so relevant anymore, but should a sequel appear it'll be good as gold! Dr. Whoever never have been much of a fan but it certainly has it's cult of followers & has been on since caveman days so it will always have an immediate market and future prospects.

  24. If it makes you feel better I want to get 5 PC very soon. It has nothing to do with whether it is retiring or not. I would guess not but Stephen is right all the rules have changed. The only reason I am buying them soon is I can't imagine being without a few of them. I will take a lot of flack for it being my favorite I think but I am a movie nut and this is my favorite recent modular (from FB forward). Trek

  27. Well I posted in the What did you sell today thread the other day about selling two AA's for $300 each on the same day to two different buyers. 120 transactions in January. All paid promptly. These two people did not pay for it. 36 hours later they still have not paid. They are not communicating with me. I'm actually hoping that they don't pay and I'll open unpaid buyer cases get my fees back and sit on them longer. Emazers is right I need to wait on these. But the temptation is like the dark side of the force to be like Duke & Duke "Sell Sell Sell" (for disclosure I was selling 2 of mine as I'm not a huge fan of it like Star Wars sets). Its nice but its not even like the Tumbler to me. My bet is neither pays. Next time I'll remember to turn on buyer must pay at time of purchase.

  32. I'm not trying to bust your you know what but your attitude is precisely why scammers are so successful. Your logic is if it's a scam oh well ebay or paypal has got my back. Meanwhile the scammer got away Scott free with your money. Who do think reimburses you? The thief? It comes from PayPal or ebay who have to foot the bill, and then people wonder why the fees they charge keep going up and up.

  34. I would like to add what I consider this very important piece of data: # of unique Lego sets introduced by year 2015: 381(announced to date) 2014: 719 2013: 675 2012: 689 2011: 593 2010: 514 2009: 472 2008: 429 To a discerning investor, this is pretty important info. Lego has some flexibility in infrastructure, and automation has made it easier to produce a larger variety of sets, but there's a limit to this efficiency without large, additional capital investment. Prior precedent for EOL may or may not be followed in the future. To me, its clear that increasing set numbers from TLG mean that we may see shorter product lifespans for some of their introductions from the last few years. I think a careful study of sets from 2012-2014 which have a large number of unique parts, large boxes (note: last 2 modulars are in smaller box sizes), and relatively slow sales may reveal candidates for EOL that aren't necessarily on the radar at the moment. As always, YMMV.

  40. LEGO has just officially announced that the next LEGO Ideas product is going to be the Female Minifigure Set. It will retail for 19.99 and will be named the 21110 Research Institute. Read more here. I am extremely disappointed that the Sherlock project did not pass the review. I think that a huge factor in this becoming the next set is that if the did not choose it, then they would get lots of nasty feedback. Plus, this one does not have a license, so it makes more profit for them. I don't have anything against this becoming a set, yet I would have enjoyed the Sherlock project more. What are your thoughts on this bit of news?

  42. If you go to "My eBay", next to transaction #1 click "print shipping label" (you won't have to actually purchase postage during this process) and then click "print packing slip" from the label printing page, it will show you all the charges your buyer incurred. The fellow in Taiwan should be able to see the ESTIMATED charges on the eBay page he's looking at, if he has his shipping address set to Taiwan. You can quote that ESTIMATE to him by going to your own item's page, and changing your location under shipping to Taiwan instead of the U.S. But if you do this, tell him this is EBAY'S ESTIMATE and neither he nor you will know the entire amount until he proceeds to checkout (and he can still change his mind at that point and not purchase if the estimate is off by too much. There is no GSP shipping calculator I'm aware of, other than the one embedded in each listing that provides the estimate. The estimates are usually very close if not exact, in my experience.
