We aren't sure if it's because you didn't want to blow your cover as a reseller or your crappy public servant job only pays you enough to only afford one but nevertheless your order has been cancelled. We only realized our mistake after there was a huge spike in orders yesterday, most orders involving huge amounts of the set. Please inform your reseller scum friends that maybe if they were a little less blatant we probably would have not been made aware of our pricing error. This is why you guys over there can't have nice things. We now have a list of all the reseller scum and will be banning them from further purchases. (Maybe Y'all can have a toywhiz.com ban hammer badge now) In closing we would just like to apologize to you for being such a broke ass, this was never meant to hurt the little people, Toywhiz.com

Finished it in about half the time the Tumbler took me. IMO the Tumbler was a more challenging build. Even once the Slave1 was done I was like meh, but once you put it on the display stand it looks amazing.

Packing peanuts/noodles... In all seriousness, I hate dealing with packing peanuts and have not tried the noodles. I use kraft paper or bubble wrap.

I picked this up last month for 140US and my fiancee and I built this over the weekend (alternating bags). It's nice and makes a solid display, but it isn't a noticeable improvement of the 7191 and I will take a pass on any for investment as there are better options out there. I came to post my bag by bag pictures and decided to skim through most of the thread and relive a lot of the arguments about value. It appears that new 7191s haven't suffered too much from the update but used ones (predictably) have. Have you built an SSD? It is an absolutely beautiful display piece and sits front and center in my home, at least until I acquire a UCS MF. Ewok village sits in my bedroom so that I may have nightmares. I like your perspective; it is very well composed. I'm still not buying 10240 for investment as I believe that there are safer, highly profitable sets to buy instead. Ed and I have decided that it is time to open up Brick Classifieds to everyone. At this time, we invite all of our members to take a look around, register, create your store and start posting items if you got them. quick followup to yesterday's post - thanks to ed "emazers" for directing me to the "Advanced" button in the upper right corner seen on most ebay pages. even though paypal phone number was 111-111-1111, this ebay button gave me the buyer's cell phone. long story short after a quick conversation she still wants the set (phewsh) and thanked me for getting in touch - she had forgotten about it. thanks for everyone's input.

Wow, that is hash. You need to keep this message so when Toywhiz comes up again in the daily deals you can prove to everyone they aren't a company BP members want to deal with. I only ordered 1 also because of this exact reason but I got the other less blunt message that someone else posted. A simple sorry, this was a pricing error would have been fine.

See there you go, I knew i was wrong just not how far off i was. For me it's probably like someone saying a stormtrooper is the same is boba fett. (but in a way they are............mind blown)

As others have already said, DUPLO can do well but you have to factor in a few things: 1. The boxes are much larger than comparitively priced LEGO sets. This can result in larger shipping costs and requiring more storage space. 2. "Generic" DUPLOs fare far less well than some "Generic" LEGO pieces, so be extra wary of buying the Box O Duplos. For example, the LEGO Creative Tower is selling for 101.35 right now on Amazon, and the DUPLO tower just 55. Both could be had at the same price, of course. Now if you spent $30 on each of those, you'd still be making some money on the DUPLO tower, just far less than the LEGO one. Similarly, people are not likely to buy a themed DUPLO set for specific/rare pieces for use elsewhere. 3. Margins are definitely lower. Where as one can usually take a gamble at 20-30% off of a LEGO set, definitely look at 50% or more for DUPLO purchase - One exception, I have been purchasing the DUPLO Disney Princess sets at 20-30% off as I have found them, and some of the returns have been quite good. 4. Personally, I'd avoid the PLANES theme like the plague. 5. DUPLO sets seem to have a lower ceiling in general. While lunatic Star Wars fans will pay $700 for a Star Destroyer, in general it seems even the best and most expensive DUPLO sets top out in the $150-$200 range. And those are rare. Very few go higher than that. 6. DUPLO seem to have a longer product cycle in general, as they seem to require less updating. 2-3 years is pretty standard as opposed to the 1-2 years for most of the LEGO sets, which means if you get in too early you may have to wait a bit. In your example, Big Farm and Train at 30% are probably fine investments in that you will profit from them, though there's no telling when those sets actually will retire, and that money could better be spent now on other sets that are already disappearing - Most Walmarts are also clearancing Starhoppers, Malibu Mansions, Fire Temples, etc etc which may result in faster returns with smaller storage commitment. I personally think the Super Hero DUPLO theme will do quite well in the long run, and am definitely eyeing them. Most Target/Walmart are clearing out the Superman set now. So there are plusses and minuses, depending on your strategy, it could be worth fitting in.

The assumption is through Target once again but much like the time of release it is unknown unless somebody managed to found the second gift set online.

My advice is to stay away from it......

I don't understand the need to ask people how many multiple copies of sets they own (aka bragging - yes, it is bragging). It seems like the same people ask / posts all the time in different ways. Additionally, who really knows how many sets we own? I could own 6 or 26 R2s and nobody will ever know for sure unless they visit me. Please bring beer if anyone does visit. So I think if someone wants brag about the # of sets he / she owns, please include a selfie in front of the sets so other members can laugh at you.

I wouldn't communicate with the seller by phone. I would communicate through only eBay's message system so that all communication is documented and can be accessed by eBay customer service.

Not sure why you want to return. Going for decent return despite recent second and final release. Would sell, buy, repeat to run the wild supply down while turning a profit, especially if talking about taking time to do returns.

I really feel like this one is about to crash, too... easily lost as it is amidst the plethora of more desirable, more unique, more exciting exclusives already jumping on the new retirement bandwagon. Is it truly as poor of a seller as it seems? Why? Perhaps because anyone interested in it to begin with already has two or six other X-wings of some sort, all much cheaper and paid for? Stickers, huh? PPP, you say? There was already a UCS X-wing? What is the real draw here, exactly? Assuming some sort of truth in that assumption, my big question is whether the lack of interest will carry over into the EOL years to come, making this a poor to average performer... or if it will translate into a massive supply/demand imbalance due to the corresponding rarity of the set on the secondary market. A potential UCS TIE Fighter in the near future complicates predictions even more. It should raise demand for this set in its waning months (unless that time is now) and/or post EOL, . It would also demand shelf space, which conventional logic would dictate comes from the Ewoks. It might make more sense to try and sell this ship alongside a TIE... stretching its lifespan considerably. Or there might be no such idea at all. I have a hunch the Ewok Village is around a while, though, especially if 10188 finally bites the bullet soon. Episode VII and a new X-wing design? How quickly will Lego have to jump on that situation and what does it mean for this set? Honestly the way things are going now, they could have stopped producing it already and we might not know for a long time. It wouldn't surprise me if there are still a comparable number of R2's in B&M stores out there at this moment. With much more available capital I would prioritize this set pretty highly these days, knowing it could be a very high risk / high return venture.

I really love all those nice displays! (And storage room photos of well though I thought there was a thread especially for that). There are quite some great pictures and I especially love the fact that there are other nutcases who love LEGO like I do Don't really have any big displays right now since I lack the space and the time to do so. But I got my minifigs displayed and maybe some here enjoy the pictures so I'll post some of them ^.^
