  1. Ed and I have decided that it is time to open up Brick Classifieds to everyone. At this time, we invite all of our members to take a look around, register, create your store and start posting items if you got them. As with any new launch, every feature you are hoping for may not be developed or active yet. Over the coming days, weeks, months, there will be a steady stream of enhancements to get the site where it needs to be. The current small team of beta testers has done a great job of getting it started and provided some great feedback. We already have about close to 400 items posted! There has also been a handful of transactions completed amongst the beta testers We have created a support site and forum just for the classifieds. You can visit that site at: http://support.brickclassifieds.com Of course we will still look for feedback and answer questions here on Brickpicker. I have opened up the the **BETA** thread to everyone now and of course feel free to send me a private message if you would like to report an issue or have feedback. Ed will be following up my post with some more details on some guidelines about Brick Classifieds to make sure we get started in the right direction and move to make this marketplace fast growing, trusted and the place to buy and sell LEGO. I think we are off to a good start. NOTE: The ability for NON-USA vendors to change the currency to their local currency is now available. ****CLICK HERE TO VISIT BRICK CLASSIFIEDS****

  8. In the back of the instructions for the Valentine's Day Dinner set, there was this picture showing the next possible small seasonal set of a diorama. No official name just yet same as the other for a few days but it appears to be another couple this time decorating the eggs for Easter. Just noticed this will have some dark red masonry bricks which is fantastic in my opinion.

  12. There are no refunds from Brick Classifieds (unless it is a system generated error and you got charged 10 times for one transaction or something like that). If a transaction happens properly, we collect our fee for the advertising of your listing which was completed at that point. If you want to include a restocking fee, that is up to you, make sure it is listed on your policies and explain that to the person who wants to return an item and I guess they will need to pay you via paypal. All of this is after the transaction.

  13. I wouldn't communicate with the seller by phone. I would communicate through only eBay's message system so that all communication is documented and can be accessed by eBay customer service.

  21. Well, the day is finally here. Brick Classifieds has finally launched after numerous versions, trials and tribulations. Jeff has worked real hard over the past year and a half to give LEGO fans, collectors, investors and those dreaded resellers a place to sell their AUTHENTIC LEGO items for a fair fee. Jeff and the BETA testers have been working hard correcting minor issues and improving usability. There will be issues and shortcomings, but this is what the BETA is for...to work out the kinks. We want your feedback. With your input and patience, we can all benefit from our new venture. You can read the INTRODUCTION TO BRICK CLASSIFIEDS, RULES OF THE BRICK CLASSIFIEDS and the BRICK CLASSIFIEDS FAQs to learn more about the basics of the site, but here are some basic guidelines and rules: Please post at least one actual photo of the item you are selling. IT SELLS. Trust a long time buyer like myself, in today's world of frauds and fakes, pictures help reduce issues and improves sales. Please list and give an accurate description of the items being sold. Please package and ship items properly Please leave honest feedback. Both buyers and sellers will be able to leave feedback(it will be implemented fully in a couple of days). Use PayPal to exchange money. Price your items reasonably. Our fees during the BETA are FREE, after the BETA, there will be a 2% commission added to every transaction, the lowest in the business. Pass these savings onto the buyer. Be honest. No funny business. No fakes. No dropshipping. Only real LEGO items will be sold. Jeff and I will try to help with any serious issues, but the bottom line is: The Transaction is between the buyer and the seller. Brick Classifieds or its owners are not responsible for any listing or transaction. We are the advertising source. We accept a small fee for this and will recommend that members leave feedback and report issues to PayPal. Honestly, if you want guarantees, use eBay or Amazon and pay 10% or more commissions. I hope that the BrickPicker community enjoys the Brick Classifieds and uses them to make lots of money. Jeff and I will be working hard to improve the current version and to spread the word throughout the LEGO community and beyond... Thanks...Ed Mack

  22. I guess I posted in the wrong thread. I found 5 death stars at a local liquidation store (mom and pop type) with outer boxes and were in perfect condition for 240$ each. also picked up 3 simpsons houses for 140$ each (boxes were horrendous though) an arkham asylum and Parisian Restaurant for 100 each$ my favorite store ever!

  24. Yeah, nicer than me, too, by about 2 and 1/2 weeks. Rule #1: Don't list it until you have the materials in your hands to safely ship it. I don't even know what to say about tissue paper packaging. In winter no less. I may have to take up drinking.

  32. 1. I believe it is for 15 minutes or until you remove it from your cart 2. Shipping is already included. There is a tab on the details page that will tell you what the shipping would be for your region. If they do not ship to your region you won't even be able to add it to the cart. The shipping cost should show up on the checkout as well unless its free.

  37. Just curious, add to what? You can only purchase this on bricklink, ebay, etc. This is not a retail item for the general public.

  38. Yes. Great returns in a short span on such a common ship. I had six bought at $35 from target, which is why I decided to wait on the others. They sat and sat for almost two months at $36. I live two miles from the store and checked every 2-3 days. All of a sudden they were gone. Oh well. $24.50 is an excellent buy in. I had two kmarts near me, but they both went out of business within the past year.

  40. This feels like a good play set and it's nice to look at just as well. The price is a tad 'iffy' and I realize there is quite a bit of large pieces but perhaps if it were five dollars less from the odd retail of $54.99 that reminds me a little of when Walmart increased the price of their exclusive Starhopper last year to $44.99 from $39.99 (for my area at least). The new molded Flounder is perfect however poor Sebastian did not seem to get the same complete treatment but still nice to include him anyway. A few of the new 'glitter' parts like those crystal balls are in this set which could help too.

  41. I can confirm there is a separate piece to replace step 42. It is, however, exactly the same as the page except that they have included a little pic of you peeling the protective sheeting off the mirror before putting it in place. I guess people were confused by that step or something. If you have half a brain, the insert is completely unnecessary. I have to disagree with some of you guys about the one large book for the instructions though. Yes, the book is far better constructed than previous ones, but the fact that it is all in one is problematic for people like us who build together. In the past, my wife would grab one book and I another, and we would build together. That isn't possible now with one large book. Since you can build it in sections, they should keep the instructions in sections. Otherwise, it is a really nice set both to see and to build. The Mixel elements adapt well, and the "new" techniques that they discussed using are fun to try. I had to rebuild the bottom of my Cafe Corner last night and I can tell you they have come a long way in 7 years.

  42. Right now, there are no places to get this for less the retail right now. You could check to see if your local Walmart has any left. IIRC, they should be priced around $75 in-store.

  43. I like your idea. This is where the community will have to help Jeff and I. We are quite aware of counterfeits and it is an ever increasing issue. Jeff and I will monitor listings carefully, but there will be some frauds that will try to sell a $100 minifigure for $5 and we won't catch it. When this is ready to go live, we will post the basic rules in the Classifieds forum along with what is in the sites FAQs and help pages. We will be much more proactive with counterfeits than any other site. This I can promise, but we will need everyone's help to get rid of questionable listings.

  44. Having only recently emerged from the Dark Ages, I can't speak from experience, but I do like the Architecture sets both for their uniqueness and stylish presentation. It's something you could give to a non-Lego fan (adult or teen), w/o raising any eyebrows. These are not "toys" but anyone who builds one will find themselves having fun in spite of themselves. The ol' inner child exists in all of us (even me at 64, ha ha). These sets cut through the barriers we've erected and allow us to find him/her. They're also great for bridging generations--found myself comparing build notes with an 11-yr old grand niece this Christmas. She loved the U.****** Building, btw :)

  46. it would help if people selling the series 1 stuck to their guns and stopped undercutting each other. i mean there's only a handful of full sets. it's not like there's a ton of competition. start bumping them up to $150 and if everyone does, people will have to pay it cause they aren't getting series 1 any other way. then series 2 will soon follow the lead. obviously i know how it works and just saying this more as a wish and not thinking it will happen because people want sales so undercutting is always necessary and goes with any product. haha. but it has dipped from $125 to $110 regularly because there's been more popping up. hopefully sellers stick to $125 and once most are gone and the people who have tons of sets on here can start slowly putting them out there for more. i believe big time in mixels...all series. hold on to them for a while longer. no rush to sell. i also think with series 4 introducing more infernites, that people will want the original ones, thus pushing series 1 up again. i also saw they were going to produce a game, is that the app they are talking about? or could there actually be a lego mixels game such like all the other xbox/ps games? i think there is potential for a great game like that. then sets would really drive up with that hype.
