  1. An idea for this polybag would be to buy a bunch and create a bumper car ride to go with the Fairground Mixer. Then sell off the Joker minifigures to offset the cost so that the bumper cars are free.

  2. A little project I've been working on. I have a second Viper almost complete. I have a couple minor tweaks to make to this one, but I'll get all the parts to complete both when I start ordering the parts for my classic Cylon Raider I'm building to go with them.

  3. My son got the new "pre-released" superman/brainiac set and some things to note about the new capes are that they're made of different material. I also uploaded pics of the Martian manhunter from the poly to compare.

  10. Sold an AA 10937 on ebay for $285 plus shipping. This was my first sale of a big exclusive... about 60% net ROI on an 80-day investment. I didn't really want to sell this so soon, but I have others I'm holding... it was political... sometimes I need to show my dear spouse that all those Lego in the spare room are actually paying rent and not just taking up space.

  11. @ $59 still a Decent entry point compared to sales that went by earlier . The set is pretty much end-of-life , as it's going to be replaced by another house Emma's . I would still grab those three as that would be $100 set coming next Christmas

  13. I just pushed an update today that users Pusher to push updates to listings with stock or price changes. Essentially you don't need to refresh the page anymore. If you stay on the page for a while, items that have had no changes will show you the last it had an update. Otherwise you will see that the timer was reset, etc. The feed at the bottom will show the newest updates as well automatically. Alerts coming soon...

  19. I don't think anyone on this site has any inside information on whether the Pet Shop is retiring, however it's quite common at this time of year for stock to sell out at retailers. If it was going I feel it would have been long gone by now, I imagine Pet Ship will end production towards the end of 2015

  22. Picked up 3 NISB 79003's (Hobbit: An unexpected gathering) and 1 76013 (Joker Steamroller) in a local CL deal today for $200 CAD. I'm pretty happy with that, especially getting the 79003's for an average of $55/each, at least in this stage of its life.

  24. marshalls, tjmaxx, ross are very claustrophobic and toy section is more of a kids entertainment zone while parents shop for clothes. i had just struck out a rare walmart visit while picking up a honeybaked ham so decided to see if there were any mixels - nope. i have snagged 5 of each set of the first round of princess disney sets - merida was the last one to get. i don't have much hope for this set by itself, but i will be able to sell a complete lot of 2014 princess sets which may or may not turn into a good investment. back on topic - just bought 2 more RI from amazon

  25. O.K, I have given it some thought, if the new SW movie is a success and there are no DSs available then it may do well. I'm just tired of it, I wish production was over already yesterday so we can all move on.

  26. Not sure how the merida set will fare. Only brave set and its a small one at that. I like the ariel one as it can go into a big combo with ariels kiss and palace sets. I dont check places like marshalls or ross to much as there usually a zoo and have a bunch of kids rolling around on the floor which really aggravates me lol

  27. Big fan of this one. If this is really gone, it is going to be a big gainer this year IMO. FLW is just so iconic for architecture fans. My dad is an architect so I am a bit biased on how popular it might be, but I think this can outperform Robie House long term - not just ROI but actual sale price. We, and by we I mean my son, while my dad and I watched and sorted pieces, built this during Thanksgiving. Very clever design although I agree with your points above on some of the colors. My son is 6 1/2, I was surprised he had the patience to complete it by himself.

  29. Had the same thing happen to me. I found one of those and a MF. Had them pm the MF to WM 139.97 but like you said couldn't find anything to do the xwing and refused to pay $80 after buying a ton from 40-54.

  30. its not great at 40. its was available for $30 on sale at shop at home last spring for days before selling out. i bought a bunch then - its a slow mover -was a mistake. you can thank me later. i think most people don't even realize its a hospital because of its stupid name "helicopter rescue". at least the boxes i have are minty fresh. seems like this is one of the most frequently destroyed boxes i encounter in walmart.

  31. Continuing my luck finding X-Wings, I found a 9493 at TRU today, but it's marked $80. I can't find anywhere that has it lower that TRU will PM. So I left it there.

  33. I can see that. I am a personal fan of these theme builds especially the assortment of parts with such a color variety in Legends of Chima but it is true they are a large 'unknown' in the realm of investment potential being an original 'off the beaten path' property by LEGO. My favorite set (in picture) in this new wave still is the 70224 Tiger

  34. If it was me I would open it, verify all bags are there....then sell it as a brand new, non-sealed set showing it's all there.

  35. It gives you options. Options...to build, to save, to flip. At least if you have one copy...you have ONE copy. Do you know how many people wait to buy a set they want to get some great deal and the deal never comes and people have to pay over MSRP to buy the set? Too many to mention I'm afraid.

  37. Found a 10220 in the wild at Target. It was a return and they marked it down 30% because they didn't have shelf space. Had a small hole in the middle of the back as well as slight creasing in the packaging. Tape was still sealed. $88.18 out the door w sales tax (83.18 sticker).

  40. I have the warm fuzzies. I just sold an ender dragon set to a dad who drove over 2 hrs so that he could make his boy's Christmas wish come true. This is what Christmas is all about.... going to any length to get this year's hot holiday toy or have your kid hate you forever.

  44. I want this set to retire more than any other right now, lol. Classic case of spending money on something small when I should have probably put it in exclusives. I have like 10 of these but all were at a $33-$35 price point, so even a slight gain after retirement I'll be happy. I like the set a bit, but doesn't seem to broadly popular. I'm just a sucker for that A-team looking van.
