  3. Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm truely a LEGO fan:) Here is one of my recent work based on Marvel Super Heroes theme, and hope you guys enjoy it! For more details, please check the link below. If you like the model, please give your support. Thanks a lot! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85922 THE STORY The project features the scene from the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. Red Skull is escaping in his flying-wing with the cosmic cube, and Captain America is chasing him, but he is losing his target. Thanks to Peggy Carter and Colonel Chester Phillips, who come with Red Skull's roadster for help! After kissing Peggy goodbye, the mighty Captain jumps onto the aircraft from the roadster and saves the day! THE FLYING-WING The flying-wing is built mainly with dark grey, light grey, black and some dark red bricks. The front cockpit can open and fit one minifig, probably Red Skull himself. The back cockpit can also open, where Red Skull place the cosmic cube. THE ROADSTER The roadster is built with black and dark red bricks, and can fit two minifigures comfortably. Peggy and Colonel Chester Phillips are driving the luxurious car, although it is Red Skull's ride. For more details of the roadster, please refer to this link (including the car model from real bricks): https://ideas.lego.com/projects/83538/updates THE MINIFIGS This project includes four minifigs: Captain America, Red Skull, Peggy Carter and Colonel Chester Phillips. As for the accessories: Captain America is holding his shield; Red Skull has a big gun in one hand and the cosmic cube in the other; Peggy and the Colonel are both holding a pistol. All four minifigs have custom decals on their heads and torsos. Thank you all for viewing!

  6. Just sold my last Wolverine's Chopper on Craigslist for $80 CDN. I had asked for $100 but had used this price in full expectation of being asked to haggle down. You have to stay one step ahead of these people. $80 is what I was getting for these on ebay before fees so I'm actually ahead on this one. Oh Logan, how I'll miss thee. From $7 purchase to $80 sale. Go make some child/man-child happy.

  7. Sold a Star Wars lot to someone local: Sail Barge, Palace, Skiff and A-Wing. Didn't net a huge profit ($50) but hopefully earned some future business down the road. I was glad to dump the barge and a-wing.

  9. It would be a foolish move in my opinion not to buy those sets. I pay above retail for many special sets all the time and I never regret it. People need to realize that not every LEGO set has to be bought at a discount for it to be a good deal in the long term.

  16. That's awesome about how the minfigures are smuggling in liquor (cough, candy) during prohibition! I wonder why Astrid designed two modulars (TH and PC) and then Jaime took over again. Is Astrid still with Lego? I haven't seen her in the credits or a video for a while.

  18. I like what I'm seeing so far...21113, 21115, 21116 OOS on Amazon and 21114 backordered by 1-2 days. Now the only question is how fast they restock and how much.

  19. It can be pretty frustrating. A couple of weeks ago I had a Sopwith tied up in pending status for 6 days and then it never went through. It worked out because in the interim the price had moved up a bit and I ended up making a little more when I was able to put it back up for sale. But that week was rough, I had 5 pending orders and none of them ended up as sales. In the mean time, it's not listed for sale to anyone else. I wish Amazon would come up with a fix for it - as NMM mentioned above, it could be abused by a rival 3rd-party seller to drive buyers towards their items. That. Would. Suck.

  23. yeah, I should turn on my bricklink notifications on the "used" front. cracking sealed boxes feels so good, yet so bad. LIke burning cash for warmth in an ice storm when the power goes out. Of course our money is all plastic now.. sooo. anyway.

  24. It looks like you're right. If I try to make an offer to someone with free shipping, it says in the offer that shipping is free. Their wording just threw me, but would make more sense for a listing that had a shipping cost listed Time to turn the phone up to hear the cha-ching.

  33. Lego legal told me that it is illegal to do an exact duplicate in China. China completely agrees with them there. The problem is the court's interpretation can allow for a slight change (something as simple as different packaging) to cause Lego to lose the case. And then you have the issue of the sheer number of counterfeiters and the number that will simply jump in and replace those eliminated.

  36. You can't play the game like that, at least not in my opinion. Because when that one set does become the next winner? Yeah, you've only got two of them because you're so diverse. I played that game at first, and I've got a garage full of onesies/twosies that I'm slowly chipping away at. R2-D2 is a good example for me. I have no doubt it will be a winner. I have no doubt that people that are picking it up are a making a wise investment. But, I have zero in my stock. Because I can't buy everything. There are other sets that I've decided to focus on. Don't spread yourself too thin.

  37. Just built this myself and it was a lot of fun. Figures are amazing. A builder really needs to put a couple of them together to really get the feel of the cantina but I thought Lego did a good job with this set.

  39. Heh, my bad. I'm in the same boat as you if you feel any better but in my case it is eating taco bell for dinner and the unpleasant odors associated with that has me banned.

  40. Did my good deed for the season. Went by a couple of local TRU to check their stock on 75056. One was all out, the other had 1 hidden behind a Super Heroes sets. Saw a mother looking in the spot where the kept the calendars, she walked away. I picked it up, placed it on the shelf when I knew she was looking and walked away. Walked around the corner, turned around, and watched her quickly pick it up and rush to the counter. Hopefully me passing on this one, will translate to me selling my stock for profit.

  41. This post on eurobricks cracked me up: "also looks like a departure from the love story we've gotten in the modulars: PC: first date PR: proposal GE: Suit and dress choice for upcoming marriage TH: Wedding PS: New apartment to start a family DO: wife has run away and husband hires a private detective to find her?"

  42. The best advice I can give to people is to keep sets like the SSD, HH and Town Hall. They are exceptional sets and lesser sets like the GE, PS, AA, SC, etc...will not keep pace with the Big Boys.
