There are still plenty to be gotten if you are willing to drive (and are fortunate enough to live close to a bm store). My haul from yesterday.6 points

Looks really cool and actually works! It accelerates a Lego soccer ball to 12.5 KPH. Nerd Approved Ideas3 points

Am I the only one that finds it funny when grown men ask each other if they should build a Lego set or not. I do not know what ur enjoyment level is with building a set. Me personally... It's work. You would have to pay me to build a lego set. It's work x amount. Is that amount worth it to u to build and have one of ur own.... No one here can advise. Would u rather have 300 bucks or a town hall. Simple as that dude.3 points

GE: "Oh no, it's going EOL!! [later] Yay, got a bunch!" TH: "Oh no, it's going EOL!! [later] Yay, got a bunch!" HH: "Oh no, it's going EOL!! [later] Yay, got a bunch!" R2: "Oh no, it's going EOL!! [later] Yay, got a bunch!" Maybe we like repetition after all...3 points

Lowest eBay BIN is already up to $235 qty 1 and next is $250 qty 3. Amazon lowest is $257.50. This is the droid you are looking for.3 points

That just happened a few minutes ago. Mixels Series 1, $120.3 points

I studied it for 2 years. Insanely difficult to learn. Hard to retain too unless you can use it every day. Try looking on youtube for a video so you can hear it. Be careful too, the same phrase can have different meanings depending on context. There are also different hierarchies dependent on the age of the speaker. You would not greet a 20 year old like you would a 60 year old.2 points

The loss is not that big. He only loses Sealed-used difference which is not that critical down the road.2 points

Wait, I lost track.. Is he practicing to become head of shipping for Target/Walmart/Amazon/TRU?? So confused....2 points

Well, when the 4th arrives, without opening the package, give it a big shake. Stomp on it. Stand on it a little. Then open the box and look inside. Enjoy.2 points

Sales really picking up in November, already more this month so far than Sep/Oct combined. Have sold 4 Helm's Deep this week @ $170, a $60 Orc Forge, as well as some cheaper battle packs. Need to keep it up for all the spending that's been going on, UPS dropped off more boxes today.2 points

Bought a couple more sets of Mixels series 2 at TRU using the 10% off and Batwing promo. I think I'm going to list my sets this week at a high price and wait for eBay to catch up as we get close to Christmas.2 points

Cool. Yeah, I suppose I may have to start clearing some stock next year too. It's starting to feel like living in a warehouse round here.2 points

Just ordered my first Tumbler. Used my saved vip-points so paid only 75 euro. Cannot wait!!!2 points

And then Disney would eventually just own everything. World domination is what they are going for.2 points

it appears you mention something negative about this set in nearly every other post you type (in this thread). i think it's safe to mention that pretty much everyone (reading this thread) knows you have issues with 10225.2 points

The LOTR Pirate ship is not nearly as impressive as the POTC ship. For that reason, I think it lags well behind.2 points

horderve? oooo, my aching french. Hors D'oeuvres. So I've only got one extra R2 in my pile that I got a while back in the US... just too many other deals to take advantage of lately and not enough $. TRU in Canada still has them in stock, but it's $229.99 + 13% tax for me = 259.89 (about $230 US). I just can't seem to pull the trigger at that price... Would anyone here? It has to pass $260 US not including shipping to bring that into the black.2 points

You will need to provide a little bit more information on your source if you want to be taken seriously.2 points

Unlike R2, DS works great as a cat tree if you clear out the internal features and minifigs (although my cats enjoy hiding those in out of the way places). I'm assuming this use has some effect on the resale value, but shouldn't be too bad.2 points

45 is good price. It will not get that much lower. Wether it has that much potential, I have my reservations. I bought 2 of these for around that price.1 point

At the end of the day, no matter what method Lego uses to seal the boxes thieves will probably find a way to get around it. The main reason I don't like the tape is because they pop off easily on large sets like the SSD, or get stretched over time.1 point

That's a far bigger target group than people who like to collect the holiday sets.1 point

All these reasons you guys say not to buy make buying them even better. At a price below $60 you won't lose. It's a ship that any LOTR fan would know since it showed up and saved them. This is the only set that has Undead men. If a LOTR set outside of Orthanc will do well then it's this one1 point

There might be a battle for it next time around. It will not be pretty. A huge game changer if LEGO loses their STAR WARS license in 2022.1 point

There are glues or epoxies you can use that cannot be simply cut and you end up almost destroying the box lid trying to get it open. Other companies use things like this. This is 2014, no reason to have two pieces of tape and call it 'sealed'.1 point

I remember when POTC where on the way out. Seemed as though stores could not give away sets. The black pearl was often discounted to $70 or below and I could still find plenty of stock in the wild. Because of that reason I only bought a handful. Oops. That was stupid. I don't honestly know is LotR is as popular or even more so than PotC. However 79008 Pirate ship Ambush shows the exact same signs, more stock than people are willing to buy at the moment, just like 4184 Black Pearl. Is there any correlation? You decide.1 point

Hi Mattgang, Thanks for the thread. I understand a fellow mod contacted you and PMs were exchanged. Of course, making custom stickers is fine when they are not based on actual Lego ones. People do this all the time when creating MOCs (my own creations) and Lego Ideas entries. It's the selling aspect that sometimes create the "gray" area. Brickpicker encourages MOC posts. some background.... first, there can be legal ramifications with reproduction / fake. lego stickers are protected by copyright and shouldn't be reproduced for financial gain unless approved by the the lego group. we also don't want possible problems with the lego group if it's perceived this web site promotes his practice. web sites like rebelscum (for vintage kenner star wars toys) pretty much have the same belief the last time i checked. secondly, making reproduction stickers have their own pros and cons. unfortunately, the cons are starting to outweigh the benefits. there is an increasing number of people knowing (and even unknowing) selling repro stickers and printed element tiles on other web sites. many times, these reproduction items are sold as legitimate with sets where a simple sticker or printed plate is the only evidence if a loose set is "real or not" (e.g. Marina Bay Sands and UCS Mill. Falcon). Many buyers would feel "cheated" thinking they purchased the real thing. please review this existing thread below for more details. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/11945-helping-to-identify-replica-stickers-and-printed-elements/ Lets keep this thread locked for now. Feel free to post pics of your MOCs in those threads.1 point

I'm of the camp of people who don't understand why the shuttle has effectively stalled in value... I think it's because so many people are turned off by the white (which isn't really white). But I love it - it's my favorite set by far. Side by side with R2, R2 looks teeny tiny. (I have to say something R2 related or stephen's going to give me hell for derailing another thread today ). The GG is my favorite modular too.... It's my last sealed GG and it was painful to list it (I am a bit of a hoarder with Lego sets, I hate selling) but just too many good places to reinvest right now.1 point

Bummed I missed out on the Minecraft 'The End' set blowout on TRU eBay today. Then the universe smiled on me. Found 2 of them at a Target that were returned and marked down to $9.1 point

And why are you not driving at top speed to Walmart to buy all 5 or 6?? heh1 point

I wrote my script yesterday for both Amazon and Walmart. I'm wondering, do you have your scripts buy the item for you when it comes in stock? Or just notify you? I was a little hesitant to have mine auto buy stuff for me... I'm using multiple proxies and randomly sampling between 4 user agents to throw off their bot detection. It ran overnight and all day today and haven't had an issue yet. It's checking every 5 seconds. Right now if the price is what I want, and the item is in stock, my computer volume is set to max and then speaks and says "Price alert!". And the webpage is opened on Chrome. It also sends an SMS to my phone. I had a long lunch break1 point
