To end the Tumbler sold saga with that customer after USPS killed it. He ended up messaging me and decided to keep it. So all good. YAY!9 points

Checking BL the HH stocks are well below FB and GE, Ebay, and Amazon listings follow suite, of course who knows what will come out of the woodwork as the price rises. BL numbers are staggering with a HH to GE ratio of 1:43 points

Maybe this has been pointed out already, but if you go to LEGO Shop at Home and look under "Themes" Monster Fighters is no longer listed. I know I looked a few days ago and it was still there.2 points

Hmm, let's see how Becko fares against The Mangler.2 points

I almost missed out on this. Got only one on backorder. Was too greedy trying to wait till October for double VIP points. BTW it's unlikely to come back, except for a few short minutes now and then. Lego is not keeping any for Halloween either. If they can sell now why keep it to sell later if there would be no additional benefits to them? Before May 4th people also hoped that Lego was keeping some SSDs for the sale, but that didn't happen.2 points

I think anybody who sells there Haunted Houses to make just $60 or so is making a huge mistake, why would you even think doing that would be a wise deal. Wait a year or so and should bring in big bucks, as you will never see this set ever again. But everybody has there point of cracking to make a few bucks on hold on and make big money. Ed2 points

No, I just could not find any other reasonable thread for 10224, and did not dare to create the EOL one... yet...1 point

It doesn't really make sense to hold this set back until mid-late October. They would probably want to unload it now for Halloween. You wouldn't want to hold the Christmas sets until late December, you would want to unload all your winter sets for Christmas because you would have to discount them to move them so you're not holding up space in inventory after the holiday season.1 point

My gut says they need to clear shelf space for new SW sets that will be tied to the movies (not to mention TLG also has a ton of large/very large sets available and competing for shelf space), so R2 might trundle off into EOL sooner rather than later. With all the promos in Oct-Nov it is a no-brainer to at least grab a couple.1 point

I'm sticking to my original guess about the classic space theme. Lots of people have said "we would have heard rumors about it by now!" My answer to this is that LEGO kept the Exo-suit hidden for as long as needed. Also, look at the new colors added to the second count-down image. Blue and gold. No Bionicle pieces.1 point

I think these extra vw polys are a licensing issue. Lego figured it will be their last effort to make more vw under the licensing umbrella. Since they are at full production on the 10220, the only edge is to make more vw mini vans. And squeeze that licensing contract to the very last drop.1 point

I said earlier that lego will trim its exclusive selection because the market is oversaturated. The firm was releasing them at such a rate in the last few years that it is almost necessary to retire some in order to keep production sensible considering the relatively smaller target group. Imho kingdoms joust will also disappear in january at the latest if production has not already stopped and what we are seeing are only the remaining stocks which I wouldn't be surprised at in the light of its small demand and being overshadowed by more spectacular sets.1 point

yup ... and they even double dared themselves by waiting till Oct. 1st to order!1 point

As I said before it will probably be disappointing news :-P http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-announcement-accidentally-revealed-spoilers/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+LegoEverlasting-LegoReviewsNews+%28The+Brick+Fan+-+LEGO+Reviews+%26+News%29 if you click on the google+ link and there on the fotodetails you will see the filename: Bionicle-4-new.jpg20140915-4177-5fuc51.jpg But who knows... maybe that's just a wrong filename so that nobody suspects the real deal... the HUUUUGE thing they will be revealing... the Life Size Death Star.1 point

About 30 have sold since September 1st on ebay that's pretty good. I do feel a lot of pent up frustration on the part of several BP'ers regarding reselling, investments Lego in general ... the concern about messing with resellers on this thread is clear as well as much frustration if the UCS MF is re released. I think everyone should relax it is still a great time to be an investor in Lego1 point

I think we need to ask Jeff to check who's been logging into Ed's BP account... So many conspiracy theories!1 point

It used to be 10k, when the total payments sent reached that amount you had to add a bank account or apply for the paypal credit card was the other option. From what other posters have said it could be some glitches.1 point

It wouldn't really be that bad of a plan either. I'm hoping they found some of these in the warehouse and decided to throw it in as a way to sell the last of the VW Campers. Am I being too hopeful?1 point

correct that's the comparison between average family spend vs. "lego operation" spend.1 point

I would really like to see a Monty Python Holy Grail set. Guy de Loimbard's castle, with the Frendch soldiers and a catapault to throw animals plus Arthur and his knights and a giant wooden rabbit. Maybe a Black Knight duel small set.1 point
