  1. Did you try selling them some of the sets out of the trunk of your car? I hear they sell like hot cakes that way.

  2. ChrisJB, maybe folks in VAN (CAN) are enjoying their summer like a member once said there's more to life than any Lego set $100 pays for an item/set they lost out on while doing something else or can't wait for the next production run I guess. Good that you made some decent cash flipping...just lay off the terms 'joke...messed up' when describing Canada please I'm just chiming in for my neighbours out West

  3. I like seeing people post they got a large amount of sets. This site is about investing and selling first and foremost. Congrats to anyone who has been able to cash in on these sets. Anyone posting hate because they missed out is on the wrong site.

  5. This post might offend some. It's not my intent. Like Ed stated, "Is that our fault? No... If you want something in life, make a plan and get it. The people who complained and didn't get a set were not prepared." These soreheads seem similar (and worse in some aspects) than the $99 10227 B-Wing ones. As much as people can cry and stomp, 21109s were available at different times through multiple retailers (like $99 10227 at TRU) for over a week. It appears people tried shop@home only a handful of times before either giving up or being satisfied with 2 sets. Then there are others who proactively checked other retailers. 1.) found target didn't have limits and 2) TRU had it for $25 so people bought more or their initial 21109(s). Additionally, other retailers (Amazon) also had 21109s in-stock on and off. People just needed to check a couple of times per day. So don't go blaming other folks because Little Johnny didn't get his Exo Suit set that daddy prob really wanted. I spoke my peace. I'm done.

  6. Honestly, if people are pissed off about not being able to get an exo suit, they should blame Lego more than anything else. Whenever a company make something a limited release, it's going to create a situation where you have to be at the store on day 1 to get a copy, and people are going to hoard them for resale. Even without the existance of this site, there would be people buying up exo suits for resale due to it's supposedly limited nature. If Lego cared about the average kid being able to get one of these, they'd produce them in greater quanitity. With limited releases, they're just throwing a big bone to collectors while pissing off their normal fans who couldn't get one.

  7. Lol ppl need to get angry at LEGO for not putting up a better order fulfillment system on S @ H. The thing crashed about the same time Exo Suit became available on 8/1

  8. If you need something last minute or for personal collection/gift that is not on sale anywhere else...use promo code TWENTY for 20% off one regular priced item. Too bad it's not 25% promo...I would buy more stuff Remember to sign up/use Plum Pts...adds up. I always like the condition of sets and reuse the Indigo shipping boxes. I looked at the Lego section and nothing really jumped out at me. Would love to buy some SuperHeroes sets but already have enough to build at home and will wait longer for investing purposes/better deals.

  9. I'm sure you have a good idea what actual mini figs feel like, most of the fakes I've seen just feel...cheap. Also look for the "Lego" trade mark stamps on the feet or head post. Pay special attention to Hulk, if he's real I would imagine the rest are as well.

  10. If people want to help reduce the amount of hate, they should stop posting about how many sets they were able to get. I can see people getting upset when you read about multiple resellers who are posting/boasting/showing off about buying 50 of these and/or posting pictures of their stacks of these. Does it really matter to anyone but yourself how many you were able to get? Of course, LEGO could help with this by just allowing pre-orders of sets. It would give "regular" people a chance to get one at release date and give LEGO an idea of demand.

  11. This is why i am in favor for a paid subscription to the site. Much of the talk on here is not investment oriented. Let that be free and the real investment focused content onlt accessible for the annual fee. It will manage that potential negative reputation and still attract new.members for growth. Oh amd the exo suit is awesome. Should do quite well, who cares if they produce one more run.

  12. Jeff and I have been reading a lot of hate towards members here on other sites the last few days, a lot of it based on the lack of availability of the Exo Suit. Is that our fault? No. LEGO was unprepared for the interest in the set. If you want something in life, make a plan and get it. The people who complained and didn't get a set were not prepared. For months, this was the set that people discussed...on all sites, so there is no excuse. I do feel sorry for the kids who didn't get a chance to buy one, but they will after LEGO releases more. There is an elitist anti-BrickPicker attitude with some old school AFOLs. Most are hypocrites. They visit this site and care about how much money their sets are worth, yet bad mouth us when we are not there to defend ourselves. I say complain away. The more you complain about our site and members, the more people will find us. As for this set, the intense interest by all...resellers, collectors, kids, whatever...has created a situation where LEGO has to produce more. I am not telling people to not buy them or to buy them, but just be aware that the rabid buying might make LEGO overestimate interest, thus overproduce the set. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker

  24. I know I'm preaching to the choir here but these clowns that go crying about how it isn't fair they didn't get XXX and they should get it handed to them the easy way always get under my skin. It isn't just LEGO it is everything imaginable, just look on craigs list with posts from people who want something for way below value because they feel it isn't fair the value is that high. I especially see this with concert tickets. Hmmm, say I'm a huge NIN fan and NIN is playing a fairly small venue in my city. Gee, what a surprise it sold out 10 minutes after tickets went on sale! Well I could have logged in and fought for some tickets with everyone else but no, I instead will post on craigs list NEED 2 TICKETS TO NIN --- NO SCALPERS I WILL NOT PAY MORE THAN FACE VALUE FOR THESE, SCREW YOU SCALPERS, I AM A REAL FAN! BLAH BLAH BLAH. Why don't these delusional jackasses go into a Starbucks raising holy hell that coffee beans and water cost only a couple of pennies and they are charging 4 bucks!!! FREAKIN COFFEE RESELLER SCALPER SCUM! They have no concept of supply and demand, no concept of capitalism in American society, no common freaking sense. If you want NIN tickets, get online when they go on sale or pony up the price because YOU SCREWED UP AND DIDN'T GET THEM. If you want an exo suit you have the right to say to hell with that I'm not paying more than retail on ebay if you missed out. Just don't do it. Don't go whining about how everyone else who WAS on the ball and WAS able to get them with (in this case not all that much effort IMO, getting NIN tickets say is much harder. Sorry, probably off topic. Needed to get that off my chest though heh.

  29. I obviously don't know the Austrailian market, but these are SUPER sellers during Christmas. Chima is popular, not like Friends or Ninjago, but I sold A LOT of minifigures last Christmas. I have about 20 of these and sold them all at 15$ each. I have about 10-15 more I got earlier this year from BN I plan to do the same with.

  43. I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't believe you're going to get a lot of sympathy here. If you are a serious investor, then you have to play seriously. So, you have to learn how to get a hold of things. You have to learn the tricks of obtaining the product that you want. And, you don't get to cry when you miss out. What you have to learn is that there's always "something else." Didn't get to jump on this, then invest the money elsewhere. Try to get a GE or SSD before they are completely gone. Don't have time to jump on those when they randomly pop up? Then you should look for something else. There's tons of advice on this site. I live in SoCal. Do you know how hard it is for me to jump on the Target or Walmart clearance sales? They're non-existent here. But those of us in SoCal don't cry about it - we just move on to the next thing. If you're here because you're a collector only, and you're only trying to get one for yourself; I'm sorry, but you've walked in the wolf's den. You're going to get great info, but you're also going to be exposed to those that are in is for the money. So, again, you're just going to have to listen, get the info, and get in while you can. I'm not saying this to be mean, just saying this to be realistic. There are tons of ways to get in on things, if you take the time to figure it out.

  44. i'm now thinking the window for selling this set might be shorter than originally thought due to the long retail life and upcoming refreshes. i'm not sure of it's long term growth. why? if Batman 75th teaser posters are indicators, Wonder Woman will be refreshed soon with silver accents along with other minor details. it has been over 2 years since her minifig was introduced so she's due. i'm not sure how Superman and Lex refreshes but I can imagine the same exact 6862 Supes being in a future set before his next movie. also in the 1st poster below, we have a Green Lantern who we now know is arriving soon with Space Batman (from another poster that also showed the SDCC Batman, Zur-En-Arrh). additionally, the SDCC 1966 Batmobile was in an earlier teaser poster.. At the time each poster was introduced, items depicted were either already in-production or about to be (mass retail or limited like the SDCC items). All this is just something to think about. nothing more, nothing less. furthermore, we know minifigures usually drive set demand (especially with super heroes who seem to be refreshed more often nowadays)

  46. A LEGO Tumbler, the Caped Crusader's black armored vehicle of choice in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight movie trilogy, will be on display at Comic-Con this week beginning Wednesday. Following the pop-culture convention, which runs through July 27, the Tumbler toy (1,869 pieces, $199) goes on sale at LEGO stores and shop.LEGO.com in September. Measuring 15 inches tall and 9 inches wide, the LEGO Tumbler has an armored exterior, adjustable wings, a detailed interior (with a console screen that reads "INTIMIDATE") and oversized rubber-tread tires. It also comes with a fact sheet about the vehicle from the movies. If you're into character mini-figures, the stars of the set are a Christian Bale-styled Batman and the Joker, the first time Heath Ledger's The Dark Knight take on the villain has appeared in LEGO form.
