Hello BrickPickers... With the increased site traffic and the new Brick Classifieds forum launching soon, we have asked jaisonline and Bold-Arrow to be moderators. They have graciously accepted. Jeff is finishing up the Brick Classifieds and it looks and works great(He showed me this morning). We will be adding a few more moderators once the Brick Classifieds site and forum go live, preferably members that will be active on the Brick Classifieds and will be able to instruct others on how to use the Brick Classifieds and inform new users about the rules and regulations. More on that later... Ed Mack12 points

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/helphub/home/ If you've already been there and CS is closed, call them tomorrow. They'll walk you through the process. Basically, they may be willing to dispute the chargeback on your behalf. That doesn't mean they're going to win against the cc company, and if they don't, you don't either. Meanwhile, the money will be taken out of your account or backup funding source. If this buyer did the same thing to a lot of sellers, PayPal will be more likely to try to dispute it with the cc company. If you're the only one, you're probably out 12 bucks. If you had a brick and mortar store, you'd have shoplifters (and still have chargebacks ) - it's annoying as heck when it happens, but you figure it into your cost of doing business and you move on.2 points

My parents would have thought this totally acceptable. Back when I was 7 you could leave your kids for 90 minutes in the toy store. Especially me, i would take that long to decide what I wanted. As a parent today, I don't even leave my kids unattended in my back yard.2 points

Not sure if anyone has talked much about who might be buying or interested in buying but I wanted one for my niece and one for my daughter. This is the kind of set that could be a very special graduation gift in 10-15 years. How many other Dads/Uncles are thinking the same. I think the sky is the limit and if it is gone. Mr Mack may be right SSD for a RI? Might be a good deal! Sent from my Passport using Brickpicker mobile app2 points

It could go either way. The polybag may be in high demand during Christmas which would make the price go higher, but it may not. I would sell them now just to be safe. Polybags are usually worth the most when they are just released, especially the promos.1 point

Last few days on Craigslist, sold 7939 Cargo Train for $175, 7744 Police Headquarters for $50(used), 9471 Uruk Hai Army for $40, and 9472 Weathertop for $50, and 10215 ObiWan Starfighter for $100. Not tons of profit, but no shipping and ebay fees either.1 point

Those who don't think this set will do well may not be thinking of the potential crowd that may be buying this set down the road. It is a set of 3 different professions. And would be great as a graduation present for college instead of getting the typical money or jewelry. Being a 22 year old female, who just graduated from university, I would have loved to receive this set. It is small enough that it doesn't take up a lot of space. Also, when little girls grow up to be anthropologists or chemists or astrophysicists they will be making enough money to be able to buy this set at a higher cost in x amount of years. Just my 2 cents. There are too many males here thinking Star Wars are the only good sets.1 point

I have no idea. Not really my setup. Got it from the internet and replaced the CNBC news screen with Lego video, a couple of other screens with TRU and AMZ homepages :)1 point

I am worried that the rage over 21109 and 21110 carries down to Ecto-1 and wipes it away. And I say worried as I have none of this one. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker1 point

I have 3 arcade video games, but one day I'm going to get myself a pinball machine. I can never decide on what I want it to be though. If someone were to do The LEGO Movie or anything LEGO themed, I'd be a buyer. Are you listening to me Jersey Jack's?!1 point

Yes, but you risk cancellation (nothing to lose, really, amazon may enforce, may not. It's inconsistent). Even if you use multiple accounts. Technically the order limits reset every week, meaning you could buy the limit today and then buy the limit next week while not exceeding the ordering limits.1 point

Pros: quick flip with it in hand, you stand to triple your money. Cons: long term, when this is completely done, does this go higher? Short term, when the market gets flooded in a couple days, does your $70 buyer return it?1 point

I fit in the age range you stated and I have a child. Granted she is 4 months I couldn't fathom leaving my child alone in a store with absolutely no one I trust. With that being said, at that age I had no problem being unattended and I'd rather would have been there then shopping with my mom. I disagree with the mother's choices but arresting her is a little extreme1 point

Wow it seems there are a lot of 20/30 something males responding to this that don't have kids. I think maybe those folks overestimate the age they used to roam free. I have a 7 year old son and have no doubt he would likely stay put for 90 minutes in a LEGO store however my wife nor I would ever leave them out of our sight for more than a minute. The world is not the same when we were that age nor is a 7 year old safe alone in a public place. I would be surprised to hear anyone with a child that age to disagree. Nice compliment to the car if this comes to fruition, as it reached 10,000 votes. With the piece count, though, it won't be cheap but would totally buy this. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/606321 point

Rather than running some code, use selenium and have it automate through websites. Use dual monitor, this way, you are in front of the monitor and can see it live. Using alerts aren't good because if you are at a meeting, you can't buy so what's the point. With an automation tool, you are sure to buy if you see something because you'll be at your desk. Got what is likely my best deal yet. Was in Walmart with my family. Always check the friends hoping for a discount (I have never seen one in store in Canada) Noticed right away that a Heartlake Stables set was right in front where the Sunshine Ranch tag was for 89.99 Grabbed the Stables and found a scanner --> scanned at 25. woohoo. To bad there was only one but still very pleased1 point

"Not a bomb or any kind of chemical weapon such as might be sent to a representative of Congress, THAT's for sure!" said with a nervous laugh and furtive expression. Works particularly well if you wear ratty clothes and refuse to look directly at them.1 point

I am just getting back in to building. This set helped bring me back. In addition to TMNT toys, Ghostbusters and Legos were my biggest collections as a kid. I finally picked this up yesterday. It was a really fun build. Finally got some decent light. I moved the steering wheel to the side rather than the middle after seeing some others here do the same.1 point

Okay, I have a lot cool stuff to share! Bear with me here, I'm like a baby's bottom; a little behind. First, we have complete images of the cabinet artwork for Jersey Jack's "The Hobbit" table along with a glimpse at the whitewood and some animations for the backbox display. Backbox Playfield Cabinet Early whitewood prototype Video of some early animations In other news, are you a fan of The Big Lebowski? Of course you are. So get ready for this. Dutch Pinball, the makers of the Bride of Pinbot DMD conversion kit has obtained a licence from Universal Partnerships and Licensing to make a The Big Lebowski pinball! Can you believe it?! Alright, stay tuned. I have another bit of info to post. ;)1 point
