  2. I just finished this late last night. Great build. Steering wheel is a bit big. Best part is the front and back seats. A close second is the picnic set fitting in the trunk. Enjoy the video.

  5. Marina Bay Sands. Needed to get this one done before the Trevi Fountain comes out so my arch collection is complete. I forgot to take a pic of what I thought was the neatest feature, the elevators in the three towers, they are not visible in the finished product but here it is:

  8. Welcome to Technic, citymorgue. IMO, it's the most underrated theme Lego makes. If you ever have the chance, build the Mobile Crane. It's simply phenomenal.

  9. A LEGO Tumbler, the Caped Crusader's black armored vehicle of choice in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight movie trilogy, will be on display at Comic-Con this week beginning Wednesday. Following the pop-culture convention, which runs through July 27, the Tumbler toy (1,869 pieces, $199) goes on sale at LEGO stores and shop.LEGO.com in September. Measuring 15 inches tall and 9 inches wide, the LEGO Tumbler has an armored exterior, adjustable wings, a detailed interior (with a console screen that reads "INTIMIDATE") and oversized rubber-tread tires. It also comes with a fact sheet about the vehicle from the movies. If you're into character mini-figures, the stars of the set are a Christian Bale-styled Batman and the Joker, the first time Heath Ledger's The Dark Knight take on the villain has appeared in LEGO form. 10. Sold a couple of things since Thurs. Empty 6211 ISD box. I opened the MISB 6211 earlier this yr when a buyer just wanted the sealed contents. It's nice to unload the box, MISB Western train from Toy Story No box, compete Indy Jones 7683 Fight on the Flying Wing.

  11. I called my local LEGO stores too, they both said they will be in stores next Friday, August 1st. What time zone does LEGO Shop at Home usually make things available? 12am EST or PST? I want to be up to check that first to see if there's an order limit. As for calling early, the LEGO store I last called said that they don't take reservations for newly released products. YMMV, no idea how widespread the policy is, but thought you'd want to know.

  12. Cool! How much do you spend on Lego a month if you don't mind me asking? I wish I could buy so much more.

  13. Lol I'm actually heading out to my lego store in salt lake city to go buy it. I've been eyeballing the mobile crane for many many months now.

  18. I've collected on USPS insurance twice now since selling on ebay, and both times have been hassle free. I've received my check within 2 weeks of my claim being approved. I'm sure other people do have issues with it but so far it's been pretty painless for me. Insurance really depends on what kind of seller you are. If you're selling a lot of product, it makes no sense to insure every single thing. I'm only selling a handful of sets a month so losing something in the mail hurts more, hence I get insurance most of the time.

  20. Its annoying because there is no note where will be this set available and when will we see it in LEGO stores?

  21. Contrary to everyone else's opinion, I think this is an exceptional set and Smaug is awesome. It's a LEGO figure, how nasty can it be? The set also looks like it has some unique pieces and colors, so that is a plus. Most of all, this set will be highly discounted at some point. Like I said previously, the Dragon makes this set and I view it the same way as I view the Rancor and Dino sets...which makes it a winner in my estimation. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker

  22. I had some time to kill today while I was getting my car detailed at a Shopping Centre that I normally don't frequent very often. The detailer at my local couldn't fit me in today, but I digress. Whilst killing time, I wondered into the Big W store and in the home entertainment section (nowhere near the lego section) was a 10227 B-Wing at 50% off. It was the last one, on clearance and the only "issue" was a very minor crease on the top of the box. Certainly not enough to prevent me making a nice return on it. The detailer did a crap job on the car, but somehow I don't really mind. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Brickpicker mobile app

  29. Sorry, the picture was cut off. It is 10,000 pieces in my box. It's a "Special Ed" set. I really didn't want to show too much. I might be in trouble with LEGO the way it is showing everyone this exclusive collector's set before launch. There is even an Adam West signature on the box.

  31. My son, 7-years old, has started building UCS X-wing 10240, with me checking on things. He was a little wide-eyed (not in a good way) when all the bags poured onto our building table (old train table table with raised edge) and I showed him the 3 instruction booklets. So far, doing a little bit each night, he's almost done with bag 1 and a little unsure of what the end result will look like - he keeps asking to see the box. Anyway, fun to watch him figure it out. I'll post pics of progress.

  33. I'll throw out a counter opinion for fun. There are a few things in this set's favor: - TRU exclusive, so it has not seen deep discounts, at least in the US. - It's true that there are a ton of other police sets, but the ones featuring the "robber hideout" element hold some appeal and the forest versions have performed well when retired early. - Pairs well with Museum break-out, which also features villain vehicles in the gray/black/red color scheme. I had picked up a couple of these a while back when TRU had them on a rare sale. I don't expect it to be a big gainer, but once this and Museum Break In retire, I think they could be a nice Christmas 2015 item if they retire by then. Like most things, probably better to just put money into exclusives though. :-)

  34. I built this set 2 days ago, and for being my very first Technic set that I've ever purchased, I was very pleased with it. It was definitely a long build compared to normal lego, but I've had a lot of fun. I really like the motorized functions of the set and everyone I've showed it too have been super impressed with the set.

  35. Since I was born in the 70's and grew up in the 80's and 90's I've always liked ****.R. Giger and Patrick Nagel. I still have about 10 Nagels but they're currently displayed at my Mother's house.

  37. I've had nothing but success when calling LEGO Shop at Home and letting them know that a box was damaged. I take pictures, but they've never asked for them. I've called in at least 4 times and every time they credit me back 20% of the cost of that set right back to my credit card. Don't forget though, that being nice and friendly will get you much further than being angry and upset.

  43. This is what gets built when I have spare bugger parts from an eradicator mech and clearance fire mechs sitting around. No one gets a free ride on this mech. Whether you're harvested for your power in the pod batteries... ...or wilfully integrate yourself into the bio-structure. I still want to swap out the 5-6 red elements (in the feet, others are a nice maroon) for black or grey at some point
