  7. Absolutely!! I've got around a million of these stupid things, and they work great IMO. Finger savers!! I am now giving them out to my customers who order larger used sets just to get rid of some of these damn things.

  9. As someone who has only started shopping there over the past couple of years, I really hope they do change their business to be more customer friendly. One of the biggest annoyances with any retailer are discrepencies between the online site and in-store. The prices should match. They got hot prices, sale prices, buy one get one sales that you can only use on certain items, plus the mile long list of exclusions on their coupons, all it really does is work to confuse the customer. Simplify!

  10. Well, I think this is key! "improving price perception by developing a clear pricing strategy and simplifying promotional offers"

  14. It's really irritating on EBay too. I get frustrated when I'm quick flipping a polybag or something and somebody doesn't pay. The window for flipping those is usually only a couple weeks and if you have a non-payer, it's usually too late by the time you settle the EBay claim.

  15. weather but mainly getting worn / scraped / thrown around during transit. i can't tell you how many times packages arrived at my house with sticky labels w/ ink smears or slight tears. all it takes is one key portion of the address label (e.g. zip code) to get messed up and poof, delivery times are delayed. then buyers blame you. when using pouches, i just make sure it's placed firm and flat on the box (no air inside). another plus is the shipping pouch adds another layer of protection for keeping the box sealed.

  16. i never liked using shipping label printers or paper since they lack "proper" protection when mailing. this dates back to my glory days of selling sporting event tickets on ebay and stubhub when i tried all types of stick-on labels . instead, i put the shipping label (printed on plain paper) in free clear address pouches provided by USPS and UPS. I then attached those to the shipping boxes. the UPS pouches do not open when sealed while the USPS ones do (have a slit) since they are mostly used for international customs). of course, the USPS pouch can be taped sealed. links = http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/packaging/docs/internet_labels.html https://store.usps.com/store/browse/productDetailSingleSku.jsp?productId=P_FORM_2976_E

  18. I tried to download my digital copy for Lion King, Toy Story...or something like that onto my tablet and it was a chore! Travelling with my family soon. I'm not a tech geek but thought I was tech saavy enough (wrong!)...after awhile and errors I just gave up. They should make the process easier. Ended up going to Google Playstore and paying for movies, seems expensive still even at 50% off. Old classics like Nemo etc are still expensive. HD quality of Cloudy with Chance of Meat Balls, How to Trade your Dragon and Ice Age cost me $30. Nice to be able to do cloud storage (watch it on any device using your id or download it to your device and not worry about wifi). My brother inlaw will download some free content for me lol. Scooby Doo is coming back...my 4yr old loves it

  22. interest hasn't declined in the least in my opinion. I sell the crap out of Ninjago stuff in my store. These aren't AFOLs. This means the sets are good investments, but they are not going to peak like the modulars, etc. They explode after retirement and then hit a peak before as a toy most parents are buying for their children, they will slow down and hit a ceiling. Doesn't mean they aren't good investments or they aren't popular. And since my store started up in Aug 13, I have sold more parted Epic Dragon Battles than any other set by far. So I am not worried in the least. EDB jumped back up to retail in an instant when it was gone this last christmas.

  27. Those are honestly some of the worst minifigs I have ever seen and a disgrace to the turtles(along with this new movie.) The other funny thing about the figs are based on the movie trailer the turtles are significantly bigger than humans so them being the same size as April makes no sense.

  28. I wasn't much of a fan of it when it was first released. My feelings changed when I saw it built in a LEGO store. I have two sets now and would love to get them moving as fast as the train in the video.

  29. No no, I have purchased a few for investment purposes, but it just isn't my favorite designed train... I just prefer others. The new 60052 looks nice, and I plan to motorize my true Ghost Train after parts arrive. I think my comment came off wrong haha.

  31. I'ld recommend buying a Cargo Train and a High Speed Passenger Train from LEGO, they will soon be retired with a new Cargo Train and a new HSP Train. Trains always jump in value, and you'll get about $30 in VIP points on LEGO.com because of 2x points.

  38. Take a look at the set online. Note special/rare pieces and all minifigs that way you can easily see that it is mostly there. It is very probable that a few pieces are missing despite what people say. But a few common pieces are easily replaced. I always pick a few random pieces out to check for mega blocks (not too much of a worry on a single large set) also check condition. Bite marks, play wear, sticky residue etc etc. This will give you a very good idea how cared for the set was. The better the condition the more likely it is complete and a good buy. Besides that be friendly and don't be afraid to punch out if something isn't right or the set turns out to be a basket case.
