  1. This thread should be combined with the Have a Laugh one. The best selling set of their hottest theme right now and you guys seriously think it's going away?

  5. I wasn't but I got a hold of 15 camel Minis for $2.00 each so I will have 15 of the 10226 sets and have them boxed up as a combo auction like I did with the Volkswagen 10220 and 30 mini sets.

  6. For Everybody that got the Helm's Deep cheap over the last year and a half for like $70-$100 well we got some great deals and for me with 58 these should do very well, Now as for the Volkswagen Camper, 10211 GE, and the 10226 camel I love these to, and I am loading up on these to, and don't forget the Tower of Orthanic, if you have a few bucks now and then I would pick one or so up now and then as these will do very well after they retire, I no alot of people on here wait til the last minute and scramble to come up with the money to get alot of these, as what happens with alot of important sets to have to make good profits that alot of people play the last minute waiting game.

  9. The Death Star... definitely will take you a LONG time to build, especially if you just decide to take the tub o' LEGO and start building. Also, don't forget to use online instructions to keep that manual in mint condition! Haha, that's a little tip I learned from this site.

  10. That's a pretty cool idea for displaying these MFs (and MF MFs). I wonder if they would fit in the hangar bays of some of the older large SW ships.

  11. Take a look at the back of the Parisian Resturant box. It shows Town Hall and Palace Cinema but no GE or PS. I think both GE and PS are done by the end of 2014.

  12. Just LEGOs are awesome? Don't you mean... (Hears several whispers "Oh god, not again" "Shut up Frank" "Ugh") EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! EVERYTHING IS COOL WHEN YOU'RE PART OF A TEAM! EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! WE'RE LIVING OUR DREAM *Bum dun nun dum*

  13. There are a few crazy people like this in the LEGO world. I really do not understand this though. If they like to own lots of sealed sets, why not just take a recliner to the LEGO store and stare at all the sealed boxes? Obviously, you can see that I am not one of those people. People like that make up a very small portion of the LEGO collecting group. And last but not least - Welcome to Brickpicker, OscarA!

  14. Just based on what I've read about Fabuland and from the few pictures I've seen I would say they are from that series. I've never seen any sets in person but that may be a good place to start :)

  16. They aren't around long because they are cheap. The parents of the children who want Lego Movie sets want to buy some of the cheaper sets instead of the more expensive ones.

  18. Nice busy weekend for a small time reseller like me, M. Falcon (9765), Weathertop, Catwoman and Wolverine Chopper. Made some nice margins/ROI overall on these relatively recent sets. Including shipping a buyer paid $90 for the Wolverine - nice. Down to my last one...will keep it for personal collection. Knocking myself when I could of picked up 15 more at retail price just 1-2 months ago, good money maker. Nice to clear some inventory. I'm not a buy and hold type...so good to get some funds back and pick up some big sets in April.

  22. I'ld have to say the best set would have to be the Death Star Troopers. I'm a sucker for anything original trilogy, and with me receiving a Death Star for Christmas, I really do need to populate the thing. The Microfighters are actually useful, converted the pointless crane room into a ship bay. Includes the TIE Fighter polybag from 2012, the MF MF (Gosh, that will be confusing, MF MF = Millennium Falcon Micro-Fighter) and the TIE Interceptor MF. Converted the seat area a bit with pieces I had lying around. I like the MFs for that reason atleast.

  23. Grievous Wheel Bike (75040) All lights are green: good theme (battle scene), good playability (big wheel, articulations), good vehicule (it can "transform" thanks to the legs), good minifigs (nice grievous + 1 obiwan), good box cover (Darth vader seems to try to catch obiwan ! lol) and last but not least... a nice RRP (25 $) and good PPP (about 0,10 $/

  24. What I find even more annoying is that when I go to lego.com on my iPhone, it keeps sending me to the US mobile site where there is no "change region" button. I can only access the Dutch webshop by manually entering the URL (shop.lego.com/en-NL/) even then it often sends me back to the US mobile set while I'm browsing. Tried logging in into my VIP account, even then it does not realise that I want to stay on the Dutch page. Irritating.

  26. Isn't imperial hotel a 2013 release? Unless its deep discount I wouldn't bother with it yet. I'm focusing on falling water. BN has limited stock of this set. Tru doesn't have it on their website now. Once it's retired I believe it will vanish faster than the robie house did.

  27. Yeah since I'm a recent brick investor most of the completed listing from the holidays are gone so I'm not sure how all of the architect sets did. Something tells me during this holiday season I'll need to adjust my strategy a few times because of that and I'm fine w/ that I guess. I do think it's harder to pick out winners in this series. I am going to scoop up as many Falling Waters and Whites Houses as I can this year. I see both of them lasting long after retirement, especially the White House. In another life I used to rub shoulders w/ a bunch of smiley politicians. If anything, there will always be hundreds of elitist scum that will want this set each year. I'll research Big Ben.

  28. Luckily my wifes family in Luxembourg, who apparently coyld afford quite a layout of LEGO trains in the early 80s simply stored them in the basement all these years. Took a C-17 flight over and loaded up. My mom stateside did something with my star wars and she regrets it. Though i never mentuoned it. She just noted how i scour stores to get toys and make good $ on it. I plan to keep all our current Thomas the Train and quality toys our kids have for grandkids.

  29. Sold a few Unikitties from the Cloud Cuckoo Palace. I feel like she is the Boba Fett of The Lego Movie. Yeah...that's right, I just compared Unikitty to Boba Fett.

  30. Agreed. One of the things that attracted me to the set was the $200 price point. I think that the builders that don't have enough cash for that really large Sydney Opera house will look at this set as an alternative.

  34. I have had one on ebay for a few weeks at 220 with no takers. Not sure its a great flip. Two bodies were just found on a Maersk ship that looks just like the lego ship. http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/19/world/asia/seychelles-maersk-deaths/ Maybe I should add two dead minifigures to the auction?

  37. I firmly believe Blacktron I / SP I are responsible for the demise of the LEGO space theme. So difficult to make a better theme and series of sets. Some of the newer mocs are alright, I would love to see a BT/SP I reboot with modern building techniques but using staying true to the old style and color.
