  1. Some members here have posted that they would like have an Amazon Price Grid type page on Brickpicker that will allow you to view all the discounts on a single page. This would be similar to the page that is on Brickset. I have started to put together a page like this: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/amazon.cfm It is a work in progress, but it allows you to see all the sets that are 10% or greater. At the top of the page you can change the currency so that you can see what the local price may be for you. Right now I am also showing the lowest record price for USA and GBR. I will continue to look to obtain the other regions over time as well. I am showing the set images so that people can see what the sets are because everyone doesn't know all the set numbers by heart. The page takes a bit to render like this, but I will work with it to get it to load faster. Let me know if this will be useful to you.

  3. Lol, I can't believe you guys are buying into this. First, this info hasn't been posted anywhere and you really think these sellers have the inside scoop? That picture isn't legit because it has the original design of the car that isn't even being used for the official LEGO set. Maybe they somehow got the info, but I really doubt it. That disclaimer really says it all. If they weren't just taking a shot in the dark there would be no need for that disclaimer. Couple that with the fact that the SDCC exclusive sets that they sell a limited number of for $40-50 have been Star Wars sets since 2008 and I would say that the chances are slim to none that this is accurate.

  4. Sorry, but if I invested in themes I liked, I would be sitting on a heap of market duds like Alien Conquest, Atlantis and Pharaoh's Quest. Also, emazers, I lol'd at "Why did I only get 40?". I am sure the majority of us don't have the working capital to be able to chance on -every- deal. Sometimes I've had to leave money on the shelf, so to speak. I know some people wait too long for a good deal that never comes, but I'd say it's a chance the people with limited fluid capital have to take sometimes.

  5. Since it's somewhat related to this, LEGO has to change the UPC number and item number on the underside of the box anytime the contents of the box are altered in any fashion. They can change anything about the box itself (fixing a printing error, more efficiently sizing the box, changing the art highlights, etc) without changing the UPC or item numbers, so long as the product offered within hasn't been changed from the previous version.

  6. The Archtiecture line isn't going EOL to the best knowledge of anyone here. I will take issue with the number of incorrect assumptions with this rumor: - TLC is the "creator" of the Lego Architecture line. While I'm sure they license some/all of the likenesses of the buildings, there's not one entity that owns the rights to all the Architecture model likenesses that could terminate one license that would end the theme. - There are three designers that create Architecture models for TLC: Adam Reed Tucker, Michael Hepp, and Rok Kobe. If one of these guys got into a "disagreement" with TLC and was terminated, the other two could ably fill in for any future models. - Third, the fact that there are strong rumors (and released pictures) of unreleased models speaks to the health of this line, not its demise. - Fourth, how many themes that aren't controlled by one license ever end so abruptly? Lego will likely phase these sets out one by one as the licenses expire (assuming they pay licensing to the "owner" of each building) similar to their unlicensed themes. Think Kingdoms Castle theme - the sets in this theme were phased periodically throughout last year, yet you can still find two sets of this line in Lego stores. While this is purely speculation, I would guess that Adam Reed Tucker's association with the new roller coaster kits that work with Lego bricks may be the source of Lego's discontent...if there's even an issue. I wouldn't even believe this rumor without any sourcing.

  7. http://coupons.target.com/printable-coupon/kczfeo Go to the bottom where it says 20% off LEGO SpongeBob item > Select to Print > Print Selected Coupons. You need to have something called a Cataina Savings Printer download to print it out.

  8. I expect if something has been EOL for a number of years, people are more worried about a box being sealed rather than a few creases. Within reason of course.

  9. I have tried it several times and its definitely pretty cool, but Im not sure its worth 75$? I do shop more on Amazon now, but usually can get free shipping with the $25+ order. Other than being able to ship orders under $25 free, do you all have some insight? Does anyone have it?

  10. I might go back today and get the remaining 3. My wife is already complaining to me that we won't have enough room to pack everything up to head home from the beach.

  14. I searched the sets and found that the sets all seem to have less then 999. Maybe they will get more, hopefully they won't. The Swamp Creature - 534 left Crazy Scientist - 264 left Vampyre Castle - 663 left Ghost Train - 398 left Haunted House - 176 left The Mummy - 274 left Also, Fire Brigade still has 999+ left Grand Emporium - 999+ left Helm's Deep - 672 left B-Wing - 398 left Catcycle (which many think will make the retiring soon list soon) - 335 left

  16. Well for a $40 Lego set it looks like at least half of you are crying the blues that why didn't I get more of these, I think most of you just waited and waited for a big discount that never really happened, it was only a $40 set and its been out for 14 months. Everybody had plenty of time to get plenty, and since nearly everybody thinks it will be a great money maker we all should of gotten at least 20-30-40 of them. With some of the big sets like the Haunted House, SSDS, Tower Bridge, Helm's Deep if you guys don't have any yet, or have only a few don't wait forever to start picking a few up now, if not alot of you guys are going to regret for years that why did I only have 5 Haunted Houses, or 2 SSDS etc. Now I am putting nobody down or anything, but I do the same thing once in a while, I knew the harry Potter 4842 Castle would be gold so why did I only buy 40 of them and since I was only paying $85 for them. or the 10212 Imperial Shuttle last May Lego Store had them for $207, why did I only buy 10, sure I do have 50 but I should of gotten alot more. And I am sure I am going to say the same about The haunted House, Volkswagen camper and many other ones, but waiting for the big sale before you buy any big sets that could be retiring soon is making a big mistake. And the guys that are still seeing Vampire castle's for $69 Wholesale prices why ain't you buying them. I would rather have 5 haunted Houses then 8 A-wings, 5 Tie Fighters, 10 Skiff's etc.Etc. ED
