  3. There are sites on the Internet where you can see this type of information. Personally, I ignore them because you really have no idea why someone was added to such a list. I think this is a fairly bad idea to be shown through BP. While I think the members here are generally straight shooters, we're ultimately taking someone's word that we really don't know that someone is a scammer and deserves to be on a list like this. While I the intent here was good, people can end up on excluded buyer lists for various reasons, none of which mean they are necessarily scammers. For example, I'll often put people on an excluded list if they ask a question that's clearly answered in the auction listing. This doesn't mean they're a scammer...it just means I don't want to waste time with them. There's really no way for the BP admins to police this type of list, nor should they be policing this or determining how or why someone is on one. Given the variance in seller's behavior as well I'd say the reasons that someone could end up on such a list will be different from seller to seller.

  8. Another thing to consider, when you have an issue with a seller, you should immediately put them on your excluded buyers list until the issue is resolved. This will prevent them from buying more things from you and causing you more problems. Once you resolve the situation, if you have the slightest hint that they are a scammer, leave them on the excluded buyers list. Also, remember that if someone leaves you feedback that you're not happy with that you can respond to the feedback. Check out the feedback forum on eBay for more information. One more thing...not all buyers realize that sellers cannot leave them negative feedback. It's in your best interest as a seller to do nothing to make them think otherwise. Just because you can't leave negative feedback for a buyer, doesn't mean you have to tell them. Let them think you can hurt them....

  9. Play doh is non toxic and while not tasty it is somewhat edible. Anyone who has children knows you could be standing 2 inches away and still not stop their lightning reflexes as the place any number of objects in their mouths. I have twin toddlers and an older child and its a battle everyday. An FYI for those who do not know. The quickest way to encure the wrath of a parent is attempting to tell them how to raise their children. This especially applies to those without children who have absolutely no idea what it's like to raise a child.

  10. I take stronger offence to indirect insults at what is obviously a targeted remark. Do you even have kids? I will not even waste my time going over this with someone who can't relate. If you're just running your mouth because in your head A must lead to B because it sounds about right, you aren't going to listen to me anyhow. If you're ready to enter a public ring with me, then make another topic about it elsehwere. I will not ruin another unrelated topic just to indulge you.

  12. I find the best deals on Ebay honestly. I love searching for Best Offers. Especially if they have bulk of an item. While back guy had 4 Helms Deeps listed for $115 shipped. Offered and Counter offered and got 4 for $95 as he wanted to sell them quick.

  13. Like I said my friend, its possible but you know its highly unlikely. My suggestion to the seller is if he doesn't want to be branded as a thief (like he cares anyway) then don't fit the profile.

  14. I actually do the same exact thing probably out of habit after doing it for many years. One time I couldn't get this one minifigure to stand up no matter what I did so I got a baseplate and put the minifigure on that. Dedication right there. ;)

  15. I had read about this once before, quite interesting. I do have a few of the solid head minifigures though for naughty children

  18. Maybe you're just a really "nice guy", but I feel like calling BS on this. First off, it's pretty unlikely to have two Golds in one case, secondly, even if you did get that lucky, you essentially threw away money by taking them back. Why the heck would you do that? Third, you more or less stole the one Mr. Gold you did keep, if you took the case back for a "full refund", because I'm honestly not believing you just took them back. In fact I can hardly believe a word of your entire post.

  21. Built the Batcave (6860) with my son tonight. Or may I say, I took the minifigures out, built the vehicles, and proceeded to build the rest of the Batcave as he played. I made him go to bed before it was finished, so he got in trouble for whining, not listening, and not staying in bed, which is pretty much a typical night. Weird, this box actually had 2 bag # 2's in it, so I have an extra Poison Ivy, Holding Cell, and another entire girder section. So, it looks like I might be customizing a third leg of the Batcave this week too.

  24. I don't know how anyone could get a hold of the Hayabusa without paying through the nose for it first so your question ends up with only one answer; the Mini Modulars. To add, if it weren't for the CUUSOO relationship of the Hayabusa, I would go with the Mini Modulars anyway.

  27. I had a water jug filled 3/4 of the way to the top with coins and singles. The $ was supposed to be for my kids first car. Long story short, we were away for thanksgiving weekend a few years back and 2 heroine addicts broke in and of all the things they could have taken they went with the 70 lb jug of coins and singles. Well the morons, of course were spotted trying to carry the jug back to their house a few blocks away and eventually they were caught. In order to be sentenced to rehab instead of prison, one of the suspects wealthy grandmother paid restitution to us. The judge set restitution at $7k. How cool would it be if I had gotten that in amazon gift cards??? Side note: when my son who was 7 at the time heard that they were giving us our money back he said "no thank you!" The reason was that at some point it was revealed that the 2 guys took the singles to a strip club and he thought we would be getting those exact dollars back. At 7 yrs old I didn't know he even knew what a strip club was much less that he had formulated an opinions about them!

  28. That Browning looks cool. I'd love to see an article written up about customs and military stuff. From an investing point of view I haven't given much thought to their potential.

  29. You should definitely write that LEGO brick customs article. Most of the investors here are probably pretty wary of non-LEGO brand bricks, including myself, so it would be cool to hear it from the perspective of a person on the other side...not saying that we are in an argument or anything.

  30. Looking forward to the blog article, Darth Lego. Since you are such a fan and expert of BrickArms, Brickmania, and other Lego related customs, how about a personal article on Lego customs? You could point out the good quality ones and what you think are worth it among other opinions.

  31. Visited a Walmart that I literally was at just 4 days ago and found a MSIB 7189 - Mill Village Raid just sitting on the shelf for $20.00 clearance. It was not there when I went last week for sure. They must've just dug it out from the back or something? Either way I grabbed that thing and left in a hurry.

  32. I bought a sealed box from Tesco, opened it in the car park, felt up all the packs for the Mr Gold's hat, then took it back for a full refund. There were actually two Mr Gold in there, but I left them for others to find.
