  1. I wanted to be the first member to post a topic on the Asian column. (Can I have my spam award now?) Any Asian members out there? Don't be shy!

  3. Ok things a somewhat live now. Its a super junky homepage. I will get to that soon enough. At least you shoudl be able to login. I need to do some updated queries on the reviews and brickfolio to point to the new member accounts, so I would stay out of that stuff for a bit until I give an update.

  6. Looking at the CAGR, the best performing sets of the past few years have been smaller sets. In fact, only one UCS set would even be in the top 5, and that is 10179 Falcon (CAGR 32.75%) Here are the top 5 performing SW sets from the past few years with their CAGR (ignoring 10179): 7681 Separatist Spider Droid 33.47% 7751 Ahsoka's Starfighter 33.20% 7667 Imperial Dropship 30.86% 8129 AT-AT 29.41% 7662 MTT 26.32% Moral of the story - don't believe the hype. So many people think the big sets are the money makers when often that isn't the case.

  7. I say stock up on battle of Endor. They are still fairly cheap as far as above retail and once the village hits people will find the bunker a necessity

  8. I wasn't bashing your post. If you thought so, my apologies. The point I was trying to make was that EOL dates are overrated. You, yourself, has bought multiples of these sets months or years ago at discounted prices, way ahead of EOL, so that tells me that to an experienced reseller like yourself, the buying price is more important than the set going EOL. Your information is more of a warning to people to get on the ball and buy the set now or lose out and I understand this. Thanks for your time.

  9. In case you haven't noticed, the forum has been down and the homepage is modified. Jeff is doing some modifications that require the forum to be closed to members. It will be an on and off type of situation over the next several days as Jeff is improving some features. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but you will understand more in the upcoming weeks when you see how the new forum interacts with the rest of the site. Some really cool features coming soon. Thanks. Ed
